I received this as part of the trial and So far I am really impressed with this product. I've recently recoloured my hair mahogany with bright red highlights so the timing was perfect. I love the way this product feels - it covers my hair beautifully without feeling too thick. The other biggest factor I noticed was that even though it covered my hair really well, it was still really easy to rinse off and I didn't feel like I had a lot of residue on my hair afterwards. I always seem to have frizzy hair no matter what, and while this hasn't tamed my hair at all (I didn't expect it to) I do feel like my colour is still really radiant and vibrant.

I am now in love with this conditioner. For one thing, my colour looks great - first tick. It also looks so bouncy and soft - I've had multiple compliments and can't stop touching it...or smelling it. For all the benefits for my hair the smell is my favourite!
Tips: Use with the shampoo for gorgeous colour and softness
Container: A red 250ml plastic "tube" like bottle. The lid is a flip lid that opens on the bottom. It is flat so you could stand the conditioner on the top this is a bonus as it is easy to squeeze.
Appearance: The red of the container is bright and attractive. The writing on the front is in gold and white.
Information: The label is clear and informative. It has a clear list of ingredients, a clear and informative paragraph about the aim/secret of the conditioner. Overall for the container/packaging I would give it a 4/5. There is nothing that I can fault the package and presentation on. It is attractive and informative.
The Product: A glorious, sweet smelling white cream like cream. The conditioner smells delicious. A teaspoon worked in at the ends and then up towards the roots soaked right in. I found with this conditioner I was not disappointed. The shampoo cleaned my hair without leaving it feeling dry or "squeaky" and with the conditioner following I found that my hair was a little more controllable and has a little less fuzz. I can say that my hair was coloured a week before receiving this product. It is a copper colour which tends to fade, with this shampoo and conditioner I have not been disappointed my colour has lasted and my hair feels silky smooth.
I find that normally conditioners leave my hair looking and feeling oily, so I was a little hesitant about trialling this product but on reflection I am amazed and delighted at the results. Not once have I felt that my hair looked or felt even slightly oily, instead I have been left with sleek and shiny hair that is frizz free and vibrant in colour!
I am delighted with the results and will definitely purchase this in the future. It offers a salon like smooth finish to your hair and although it was for protecting my colour I have noticed that my hair is far more manageable! The fragrance is absolutely amazing.
For the fragrance I would give it a 5/5. For the texture/thickness of the conditioning cream I would give it a 5/5. For the results I would give it a 5/5. Using the shampoo with the conditioner I would give it a 5/5, using just the shampoo the results are not as fantastic but good as with the conditioner.
For the price, its a good product. Its as good as the salon recommended products at a fraction of the cost. I usually purchase a different brand that is cheaper so the price is a little more that I would normally pay. On saying that I would pay it again as the results are worth it.
Tips: Use this after the shampoo for the best results.
I really liked this product, to test this out my hair had recently been streaked blonde which does usually tend to fade out nicely as it grows.
This product had a nice thick consistency which was great to leave on my hair for a few minutes without dripping off. I only needed a small amount of this product. This conditioner left my hair smooth and easy to brush. It also left my hair feeling lightweight and not weighed down.
The packaging was nice and sleek and looks lovely in my shower, the lid is easy to open. This product smells amazing and very much like a salon conditioner, the scent also lasts through to when my hair is dry.
I don't think this conditioner fully protected my colour but it hasn't faded as much as when I use other shampoos and conditioners do.
Tips: A little amount of this product goes a long way
Leave on for a couple minutes
I was really pleased to be chosen to trial the L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect Conditioner.
To begin with I was pleasantly surprised with the scent of the conditioner. It wasn't overpowering and wouldn't compete with the other fragrances you wear by the time you put on your moisturiser, deodorant, perfume etc. The conditioner is light in consistency and I was really pleased to find that you actually don't need to use much to get a great coverage, making it economical. I left the conditioner on for around 3 -4 minutes before rinsing off, although there weren't any instructions on the bottle to do so. The conditioner rinses out easily. The result left my hair feeling soft and manageable.
Post wash all I do to style my hair is use an Argan oil product. I found that the combination of using the L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner with the oil makes styling my hair really easy, and what's more it stays in fantastic condition for days, not having to straighten my hair in between washes, so I am really pleased with that result.
The product promises to seal colour, protect hair and prolong radiance. I feel like it delivered on most of those. The first time I used it I was a bit annoyed to see some of my colour in the foam that rinsed off. Each application since has taken a bit more of my colour with it, but to be fair to this product this may be more about the colouring product I used, rather than the shampoo and conditioner. I would need to use a different colour to be able to know for sure, so I wouldn't want to blame the Elvive for this, but still mention it as a possible observation that still needs to be resolved.
At my supermarket the shampoo and conditioner retail for $6.59 each and I think that is excellent value for money for the product, and on that basis I would definitely purchase and use it again.
Tips: Leave the conditioner in for 3 - 4 minutes before rinsing well.
I always use a salon shampoo and conditioner and was keen to try a supermarket brand to compare. I found it to be good, a little went a long way and it left my hair feeling nice and soft which is good. I have short hair so i wash my hair everyday, otherwise i can't seem to style it! I found the smell pleasant too. I think a nice smell is important! I don't have anything negative to say about this conditioner and i would defiantely use it again. I would recommend to others.
I love how after using the shampoo with the conditioner you have a beautiful soft feel with shine and my highlights appeared brighter. It is hard to judge the 2products independently as I used them together, but I really loved how in the directions you didn't have to wait 2-5minutes for before rinsing out the conditioner. I tried it as directed and loved the smooth soft look with plenty of shine
Tips: Must use shampoo and conditioner together for optimum result
This def did colour protect my hair, after using it for a tonne of washes but it did leave my hair feeling stripped and dry.
I got this as a trial product yay !!!! :D i hope I get more opportunities in the future, but thank you so much BR.
The bottle is an averaged sized bottle, and it doesn't really have a smell to it, it is also white in colour. This does do what it says it does, colour protect. Because I die my hair, and some shampoo and conditioners strip the colour from my hair, and I can tell it does this because when I wash it out the bubbles are not white, whereas this one remains white when I wash it out. Though this did leave my hair feeling quite dry
I have coloured hair that is wavy and can become dry and frizzy at times. L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Conditioner was great because took care of the issues that I have with my hair and it does everything it said it would do. After using this product in conjunction with the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Shampoo, my hair seemed more radiant and shiny and I also had a few people comment on the colour of my hair as well.
I also enjoyed the smell. It's kind of florally and the colour of the bottle is a bright bold red which is a visual bonus for the bathroom. The bottle is also easy to hold and is quite ergonomic overall.
I would buy this product again but found I got the full benefits of this product when using in conjunction with the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Shampoo and then using a L'Oréal hair mask once a week.
Tips: Tips: Use in conjunction with the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Shampoo and a good quality hair mask once a week for the full benefits.
I was really looking forward to this trial because I typically dye my hair more...unusual colours. At the moment I have been rocking the purple but I had a slight dye mishap leaving me with green hair which I have to slowly cut out due to it being permanent which means I couldn't test this conditioner out as well as I intended.
I used to be so slack with conditioner as in I would barely ever use it. It was only in the last yearish that I started religiously using it and this conditioner does not disappoint. Without conditioner my hair always feels dry and knotty but this product got rid of that feeling. My hair was silky smooth and I had to try not to continuously feel it. I used this before I went to a lunch with some girls and some of them were commenting on how soft and nice my hair looks considering I dye it.
I don't feel like I can give a complete review both because I haven't redyed my hair and also because the trial period was a bit too short to see if this conditioner helped repair my hair. I am planning on keeping it aside until after I dye my hair to retrial it though
