L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Conditioner Review

Paired with the shampoo this is great conditioner. my hair is the best it has been in a long time. always colouring my hair so has been dry and now it is nice and soft, and smells good.

I used this product in conjunction with the suitable shampoo.

Both products have resulted in my colour being brighter and more intense. An added bonus was that my hair did not look damaged, nor was it brittle. Initially. my hair was shiny and clean looking too and felt fabulously light.

After a few washes however, I seemed to get a build up on my hair which made it dull. I don't know if that was from the shampoo, conditioner or both. Washing with a different shampoo solved that problem and now I am delighted to say my hair is back to looking like a stunning mane (even if I do say so myself)

A little goes a long way, pleasant fragrance, not too "gluggy" and seems to do a good job as far as conditioning goes. I wouldn't apply anywhere near the roots though as it does seem a little heavy

This conditioner was good to use. It had a nice fragrance and my hair felt nice and smooth after, and not not knotty at all. I would use this product again - however I am dubious about how much colour protection is really offered for blondes?

Although I didn't like the shampoo version, I actually quite like this conditioner. My hair always gets tangled after using the shampoo, and I find it really difficult to untangle my hair with my hands. But with just a little bit of this conditioner, poof! My hair is soft and smooth again.

I love how light this conditioner feels, as it doesn't feel weighed down like some conditioners can be. I can feel the difference in my hair immediately when I don't use this conditioner after shampooing.

I also really like how easy it is to apply this conditioner, and the fact you don't need that much to coat your hair from the roots to the tips. Would definitely use this again!

Overall I really liked this product.

First of all, the packaging is really nice and sleek. It is also a practical sized bottle which stands up easily on a surface. The colour of the bottle is nice and vibrant!

I LOVE the texture of the conditioner. It easily goes onto the hair and gets rid of any tough knots (I have problems with this from years of bleaching my hair). The scent of the conditioner is really lovely and fresh.

In terms of colour protecting, its really hard to tell if it does its job. I have ombre hair (brown to blonde) and previously had bleached hair. I wanted to try this to see if it held my colour! It's hard to tell whether my colour has stayed because it began to fade before I started using the conditioner. I haven't noticed any further fading though so that's a good sign!

To be honest, I don't know if I've ever tried a conditioner I didn't like or that didn't work for me, and this one also ticked all the boxes.

Lovely rich (but not too thick) consistency, soft and subtle scent, and just enough applied to the ends of my hair meant my hair was nice and soft and manageable. Also, no knots!

I don't really feel like I can comment too much on the colour protecting properties of this conditioner, as I didn't notice a huge difference in my hair. But I do think that combined with the matching shampoo it's a great combination.

Paired with the shampoo this product really is a gem! I love the creamy texture and makes my hair feel silky smooth afterwards. Wish it smelt a bit nicer (its not bad but i love fruity long lasting smells!). Really has given my hair a shine and i do think that my coloured hair has retained its same colour which is great!

I salon colour my hair and am always very reluctant to spend a fortune on colour protect products from the salons. I am always on the loo out for a decent conditioner that looks after my colour and helps with the split ends. This stuff does all that. Can't say for sure if it did anything for the colour but it left my hair soft and very moisturised which I love. Great smell too. Will buy this again for sure.

This conditioner arrived just in time as I had left my other shampoo and conditioner in Wellington. I only needed a small amount of conditioner to cover my hair and leave it silky. I didn't need to put the magic onto smooth the hair after blow drying either. My hair definitely needed the conditioner after the shampoo though.. The fragrance is subtle and pleasant. I must admit I do get confused about which bottle the shampoo and conditioner are in with one being up the right way and the other upside down and was always grabbing the wrong bottle first. Pays to check before you pour it into your hand as otherwise its a wasted pour. My colour was done three weeks ago and is maintaining its caramel colour and not going brassy which is good. I would use the shampoo and conditioner together again. They are a pretty good supermarket brand at an affordable price. .
