There was nothing standout about this conditioner for me, it is about on par with every other conditioner made for coloured hair! It's smell is lovely, packaging is great and easy to squeeze.. and cost effectiveness all get positive marks from me. But I am still using as much as it as other brands (I am VERY generous with conditioner), noticing just as much red dye wash down the drain, and about the same moisture content in my hair after (if not, possibly a LITTLE bit drier and coarse than other brands). I find the longer you leave it on for the softer my hair feels, this shouldn't be the case as this is supposed to be an "instant" conditioner, however I gave it a go and left it on while shaving etc and it felt a little more effective. I don't think I'd buy it myself as I have my favorites I'd prefer to stick to!

I dyed my hair about 2 weeks before using this product. I used it in conjunction with the conditioner. The first time i used this, i found my hair dye was still comming out. Since then my hair has lightened and has gone to a dark brown with a hint of purple. I orginally dyed my hair purple. I am dissapointed with this product but I am not sure if it was the hair dye I used or the shampoo and conditioner, as I used a new hair dye.
I would give this another try using the brand I always use to colour my hair to see if it works, but pretty dissapointed overall with the colour of my hair :(
I tried this Conditioner after just colouring my hair a week earlier. The smell was really nice and it left my hair feeling and looking shiny and healthy. The things I didn't like was the fact that it seemed to be quite thick and I found it quite time consuming it rinse it out thoroughly.
I have used this conditioner alongside the matching shampoo and the one think I found that I particularly liked was that my hair felt soft and nourished after I had used it. I usually use a salon conditioner on my coloured hair and felt that this made my hair feel just as nice as the salon conditioner. In terms of protecting my colour, my hair didn't appear to fade any quicker than I would usually notice. If I wasn't buying my normal salon conditioner, I would seriously consider buying this conditioner and trying it out. I would certainly suggest this brand to a friend.
Used in conjunction with Elevive Colour Protect Shampoo. Conditioner had a good smell which remains in hair. Small amount required (less than what was expected for thick hair). I found this product hard to rinse out of my hair. No matter how many rinses I felt my hair remained "coated" in conditioner. Hair was silky and smooth once dried off though. For a supermarket product it was good although I don't think I will use again mainly due to the feeling it left on my hair.
Tips: Use less and rinse well!
As said in the title, I think I will need to trial this product a bit longer to see the benefits. As someone who does not wash her hair every day, instead every 2-3 days, I have not experiences the full 28 washes..
I dyed my hair before starting this trial and have washed my hair approximately 12-14 times with the Colour Protect conditioner. After the first wash, I noticed a lightweight finish and an thoroughly nourished bounce in my hair. My hair reacted to styling much better with a nourishing conditioner.
Very cost effective and I haven't noticed a change in my colour yet. I'm happy with how things are going this far.
I recently coloured my hair so I was needing a conditioner and shampoo to try and protect my colour in my hair and maintain shine. I've never tried Loreal before so I thought I would give it a try.
This bottle is about 250 mls. Not a very large bottle at all. This bottle is easy to open and close. The texture of this conditioner is medium in thickness. It has a lovely scent to it .I wash my hair about twice a week because my hair is so thick and takes a really long time to dry.
My results from using this conditioner was while I was washing my hair my hair feel smooth and silky. When my hair is dry the colour has still remained. My hair was extremely dry at the tips. I have enjoyed using this conditioner. Just not sure about repurchasing it though.
Effective , color retaining and has a light scent that does not over power me in the shower. I use it with other shampoos in the sunsilk and schwarkopf range so don’t be afraid to mix and match .
Tips: Use a little as it goes a long way with its smooth Texture .
I have keep finding the conditioner hard to wash out even though the bottle says that the conditioner washes out easily so dont think that the claim they are using is very accurate. I also thought my hair felt pretty soft after however I do have a bit more flyaways then the last conditioner I was using - the one prior to this I was using was the Elvive Arginine protect so actually beleive that one was a lot better
Tips: if you have long hair, squeeze the water out of your hair, stand out of the shower a bit, then apply the conditioner - if you dont I feel like half the conditioner in your hand gets washed away a bit . I have noticed my hair becoming softer since thinking about this tip! and I no longer need a treatment. Hope this helps others.! xx
I was lucky to have the opportunity to trial this product as well as the shampoo of the same brand. I found that using both the shampoo and conditioner made my hair flat and limp although my hair was shiny and soft. So I tried them separately and found it produced a better result for me. The conditioner was pleasant enough, the packaging, a lovely bright red and easy to use bottle with a good flat base. You don't need to use too much conditioner as a little goes a long way. It is value for money, and I would consider using it when my own brand runs out but would not use both this shampoo and conditioner together.
Tips: A little goes a long way, spread a small amount over the palms of your hands and run your fingers through your hair to the ends.
