I use this as a standby product when my usual isn't on special. It's not the best shampoo and conditioner, but it's far from being the worst. Pleasant smell, doesn't dry out my hair or leave it too greasy. Reasonably priced.
Tips: There are better supermarket brands out there.
Received both to trial from Beauty Review and although they have a lovely fragrance this seems to dry out my hair too much. I haven't really noticed a difference with regards to colour protection and don't think I would purchase this once my bottles are empty.
I got this shampoo and conditioner in preparation for the Loreal hair colour trial that I was picked by BR for. I thought I would really give the colour the best conditions and use a colour protect shampoo. I had perviously used the Arganine resist shampoo and conditioner from this range and really liked them. Unfortunately this one not so much. I found it made my hair quite dry and straw like and it was quite unmanageable and frizzy when I had been using it for a few weeks. I wasn't even using this product solely once I had applied the colour to my hair as it was so dry and in need of moisture. However the shampoo and conditioner that I'm using at the moment are a bit too moisturising so I am using this every couple of weeks as a balance to the one thats too much. I really sould like I'm hard to please with this review but I've not been so fickle with shampoo and conditioner befoer I promise. In terms of the product its self its packaged well and it has the texture you would expect for each product and the both smell nice. Overall not a bad shampoo and conditioner it just doesn't quite meet the needs of my hair at the moment.
I was doing my normal spot of shopping at the super market and I was looking for some shampoo and conditioner that will lock in my colour and keep my hair colour looking good.
Both bottles come in a 250 mls. Both bright red bottles with the Loreal labelling on the front. These bottles are easy to open and close. The texture of this shampoo is like any normal liquid shampoo/conditioner. The scent of this smells really nice. I did find the shampoo easy to lather into my hair. It did wash my colour out with each wash. I did notice colour coming out in the water. The conditioner just glided through my hair. My hair feels soft and manageable.
Price wise I think they could be priced lower as you are getting only 250 mls in a bottle. Whereas you could get a 750 ml bottle of Tresseme for around the same price. Luckily I managed to get it for $4 per bottle. I wash my hair about two to three times a week.. My ends a quite dry. My colour is vibrant.
As a hair care brand I love L'Oreal. It has always been a favorite for my long hair. I saw this combo and thought I would give it a try as it was quite a bit cheaper than the usual ones I buy (from salon). While the smell was nice, and my hair was clean, it wasn't as soft as usual and found my hair to get quite oily rather fast. Definitely not as I expected, although it did make my hair shine. Didn't notice any colour fade either. Everyone's hair and skin is different but this one just wasn't for me.
I used this once as I was desperate to wash my hair and had run out of my normal brand. It cleaned it okay but my hair felt limp, looked limp and it just really did nothing for it. I'd use it again if I had to but there are better ones I'd use first.
Tips: Cleans well but doesn't do anything fantastic for your hair
I thought I give this a try when it was on special at countdown and it was a pretty decent shampoo and conditioner. It had a really nice smell and consistency and left my hair feeling clean and soft. I'm not sure that I would go out of my way to buy it again, but would certainly pick it up on special.
I was really excited to try this combo because normally I find the colour fades out of my hair very fast.
The packaging for both is great! I love the vibrant red - it certainly brightened up my bathroom! I love that the lid on the shampoo is flat so that if you wanted to sit it upside down when the product was starting to run out, you could do it without worrying that it's going to fall over. And the lid for the conditioner is on the bottom already so you don't have to pick a battle with the bottle to get the last remaining bit of conditioner out anyway.
The shampoo was pretty average. It cleaned my hair but I found that it would be greasy the next day so unless I wanted to rock the grunge look, I had to wash it everyday. Being a busy Mum of three boys, I just don't have time to do this every day. I did like the scent though - it's not too overpowering. I would compare it to a perfumed talcum powder smell, but better!
The conditioner was great! It's a really creamy formula and it actually felt like it was nourishing my hair. It left it so soft and manageable so I give it a big thumbs up. I would actually probably buy just the conditioner alone =)
I don't think that either had any effect on the colour of my hair unfortunately. It still faded like it normally would which was a bit of a shame. Looks like I'm still on the hunt for a decent colour protecting shampoo and conditioner!
Found the shampoo to be quite drying on my fine hair. The conditioner made up for it though and they both smelled lovely. Hair was left feeling healthy and shiny.
