L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Shampoo Review

I was so excited to get this in the mail - my hair colour is running so much every time I was it and looks a different colour every time I wash - it's crazy!

I tried this and did my usual 2 shampoo and then condition. I use alot of hair oils and dry shampoo and only was every maybe 4 - 5 days other wise my hair goes very very frizzy.

I loved the smell of this and my hair felt very very clean after shampooing. It bubbled up easily and washed out fine.

I noticed some colour come out but nothing like usual!

I am extremely impressed and I will buy some when I am done with this bottle

I so really like this shampoo, I think mostly because it foams up a lot and it feels like you are giving your hair a great wash! It also smells FANTASTIC! Like salon hair! The bottle shape suits me as well, when it gets low I can flip it upside down. It also fits nicely in my shower caddy and stands upright! I was previously using the Elvive Arginine shampoo before trialling this and my hairdresser said I had great undamaged hair! So that's really good! I just wish that they could combine an arginine with a colour protect - I guess this is because I colour my hair AND worry about my hair falling out so how can you choose? I think generally when you colour your hair it does fall out more than normal so this needs to be part of a colour protect.

I really liked this product, I was skeptical trying it at first as I have tried many colour protect shampoos before. It made my hair soft and shiny and made my colour more vibrant. I found that it didn't dry my hair out after rinsing like most other shampoos and it smells great too! :)

Love the colour and shape of the bottles and easy to grip and open in the shower , very thick shampoo that is a low foamer but deep cleanser with a light fragrance that smells good. Washed my hair and it went from dry to soft felt clean . I love this shampoo and have used it every 2 days . I would buy this again and recommend it to friends .

I started using this product along with the conditioner as soon as I got my hair coloured. I went from blonde to dark brown so I was quite worried about the dye fading and revealing the much lighter colour underneath. When I first washed my hair I was quite skeptical because quite a bit of dye came out (my shower water was brown) but 10 washes later and I'm happy to say my colour is still vibrant and rich! There has been no fading and I'm so impressed! Definitely comparable to high end products

I started my trial of this at the same time that I had a new colour in my hair so I could compare results. The first thing I've noticed is that this shampoo doesn't feel like that it is stripping all the moisture (and colour!) out of my hair. I've tried other colour protect shampoos that turned my hair into an instant haystack but this didn't. I can even get away with washing my hair every second day which believe me, is a miracle!! Lovely light fragrance and a good foam. My hair is short so I think the bottle will last at least twice as long than other shampoos- so that's a win! Will definitely buy again.

I love this shampoo! It has kept my red color and has not faded like other shampoos do. My hair is nice and shiy and a bonus is that it smells super good. I also found that i dont need to condition every time will this product as I have done with others because it does what it says, although conditioning after shampooing makes my hair more supple, but is not necessary for every day. The instructions were clear and easy to follow also, I have recommenced it to my friends who also have colored hair.

I bought this shampoo when I decided to change my hair colour from Bleach Blonde to Ruby Red. Once I opened it I was totally in Love with the smell! I washed my hair with it and my hair didn't feel dry like it normally does after I rinsed the shampoo out. I only had to use a little bit. After the whole styling process my hair not only smelled nice, it felt soft and healthy. Also, while using this shampoo I noticed less hair dye come out so that makes the colour last longer than what it would've if I didn't use this product. Will definitely buy again!

As a total devotee to a different shampoo and conditioner brand, only this brand would do and no one could tell me any different, I have had my mind reset entirely!

Typically, if I have to use a new shampoo, like I forgot mine on holiday or similar, my hair would feel like straw when washing it and straightening it would be a nightmare. Not with this shampoo!

From the first time I used it, the shampoo almost felt like my old conditioner. Thick, creamy and nourishing it was brilliant. And smell. It's glorious. It's not a fruity wanna-be smell, it's a I'm good quality shampoo smell and it does exactly what it says - protects and nourishes your colour.

Not mentioning this trial to others, after three days of using the shampoo I got asked if I had coloured my hair. That's says it all doesn't it?!

I absolutely love this product now and would happily buy more of it. First of all it smells amazing during and after the wash. The size is great two I have hair just above My bum so a little goes a long way with this product. It soaps up nicely and I noticed my color didn't run as much as it did before. After I shampoo my hair rinsing it as normal I found it didn't dry my hair out.
