I received both the shampoo and conditioner and think its best to write the same for both products. I loved the smell of this and found that the scent did last on my hair, But, at this time of the year I normally don't need to wash my hair every day but found I did when using this. It made my hair very oily & lank the next day. One good thing was that my hair didn't tangle and was very easy to comb out. The packaging was nice, modern and bright, but, I wouldn't buy this product given the results that I had.

I have salon dyed blonde hair and so I need a good colour protect shampoo to keep my hair healthy and radiant. To me, this shampoo did nothing of what it said it would. It made my hair feel flat and dry like it hadn't been washed and needed to wash it again. It didn't leave my hair looking radiant or smooth like it said it would on the bottle. Because the retail price is only $8.99 you wouldn't expect a lot from this shampoo compared to other - more expensive - shampoos but you would still expect to see a little bit of a difference. I get my hair died at an expensive salon and after testing out this shampoo, I would not rely on this product alone to protect the colour of my hair - I would prefer to spend more money on better quality shampoo. Even the smell of this shampoo isn't very appealing to me as it smells like cherries. For the last few days that I trialed this shampoo, I mixed it into my usual more expensive shampoo that I use just so I wouldn't have to use as much of my expensive one and I actually liked the results. My hair was radiant and smooth like it usually is when I just use my expensive shampoo on its own, so I can use these two shampoos mixed together to save money.
Tips: Use this shampoo mixed with a more expensive colour protect shampoo so that the other shampoo lasts longer but your colour is still being protected.
I brought this because it was on special and I had never tried it before and I love trying new products also I couldn't be bothered going to the pharmacy to buy my regular shampoo and conditioner.
I love the bright red of this bottle it wants you to buy it, it wants you to notice it but... This is about where the love stops.
The shampoo has more of a thinner consistency than other shampoo and I didn't find it lather up too much. The scent has a sweet scent but it is very subtle. It's an opaque shampoo with a shimmer through it. I have dry hair that gets dyed frequently so I need a good shampoo and conditioner
I also brought the matching conditioner and found it quite hard to tell the two bottles apart the only difference was the conditioner sits on its flip top lid but several times I had gone to use them and the kids had been in the shower before me and the bottles were just laying on their sides so I found myself fluffing and mucking around trying to find the right one. As for keeping colour I wouldn't know I only got a couple of washes out of it I felt like I had to use a lot to get it to feel like it was washed. I was a bit disappointed because I usually like Loreal products.
I found this shampoo quite drying leaving my hair Thin and straw like . It irritated my eye lids no end So if your sensitive then this isn’t for you
I was really excited that I got on the trail for the L'Oréal Colour Protect Shampoo & Conditioner as I get blonde highlights in my hair every 8 weeks or so.
I can't really tell if either product made a difference with protecting my colour, the product may have even slightly darkened the blonde. I’m one of those ladies that washes my hair every day (don’t judge me) so this could have been due to the product building up or overuse?????
The smell is pleasant and my hair was left feeling fresh and clean. You can’t miss the eye catching bright red bottles either.
Chances are I won’t be buying the shampoo again but will continue on with the conditioner as I usually have a tough time with tangles however after using the conditioner my hair was way easier to manage, soft and smooth.
This shampoo smells awesome, unfortunately has to much fragrance for my sensitive scalp gives me itchy scalp and dandruff. Does wash out really well and make my hair feel good just not so great on the head. I wouldn't say this shampoo is any better than any other brand and I would definately not buy at this price
Tips: Lower price and less fragrance and it would be a excellent unfortunately its not for me
I have just recently (for the first time) had my hair highlighted 5 weeks ago from natural Brunette to Blonde highlights. So this trial came at a perfect time.
I have shoulder length hair, and only shampoo'd every second day as my hair doesn't get very oily. I used the Shampoo along with the Colour-Protect Conditioner.
I love the colour and shape of the bottle it is a great size and doesn't take up to much room on the shower shelf which i like. It has a nice creamy consistency and a great smell that is not to over powering. I did find that when i used it i didn't need to use very much to get a good lather on my hair, but the more I massaged it in the more my hair become like straw and was hard for me to massage my fingers through which was very frustrating. I haven't really been able to tell if my colour has faded or not but i have noticed it does appear to be going ever so slightly brassy in my opinion but everyone around me says it isn't so i'm not to sure. I think this product might not be good for bleached blonde hair as i think this is why it was causing my hair to go straw like perhaps? I most likely won't use it again as it is just so hard to massage it through my hair,
Tips: I find that you only need a small amount to cover your whole head to get a good lather going on.
First off I have just gone from platinum blonde to bright pink, so my hair isnt in the best condition to begin with. But Ill go through the pros and cons of this shampoo- Pros: Smells great, a little goes a long way, cleans hair very thoroughly. Cons- My hair colour still washed out ALOT, even after the third wash there was alot of color coming out. Made my hair go very fluffy as well. So all in all its a great regular shampoo but not a great color lengthening one. Tad disappointing as the price is very reasonable.
Tips: A little goes a long way!
As a woman always searching for the perfect hair care product, I was excited to try this shampoo.
First impression, the packaging looked great & the shampoo had a nice consistency. It lathers really well which is a huge help, it means you don't have to use as much which is always a bonus! I think the thing I was slightly disappointed with was the scent. It wasn't overly appealing & I could could be one area to improve on for the brand. It seems like quite a small thing but I find with beauty products, their scent really affects whether I would purchase it again & use regularly. Products that smell delicious I find I'm more excited to use and recommend to others. It has given my hair a lovely shine and from what I can see my blonde tones are remaining how I like them (A creamy ashy blonde, no yellow tones).
I tested the Sensitive one in the range and true to form I've had no skin reactions, itching, dry scalp or any other side affects. This is great news for those of us with fussy skin!
Tips: Rinse and Repeat! Super important as a hair stylist once explained this to me and it made perfect sense! The first time you wash, it cleans the hair of the excess oil and dirt etc. The second wash is where the shampoo gets the chance to actually do what it says it will, ie. strengthen/smooth/protect/nourish etc. etc.
I have been using this product for the past 3 weeks every 2-3 days along with the conditioner
the packaging is nice to look out but I found it slipped out of my hands while in the shower the labels have too much writing on them making them less interesting to the eye.
the smell is nice, it's tangy but not a fruity smell.
the texture is what you would expect in a nice pearl colour.
I found after using this with the conditioner my hair ends were super frizzy.. which was disappointing.
I also read on the back packing for the 28 day trial of washes it is using the extraordinary oil as well which I did not use.
My coloured hair has faded over the use of using this, it is not as vibrant as it normally is and feel very straw like not nourished at all.
Tips: use with the extraordinary oil as per back packaging instructions for maximum effect
