I ripped this open as soon as it arrived as I had just had my hair coloured and it was desperately needing a good shampoo. I read the instructions and immediately started to lather up. I really like the faint scent, it's white in colour and not to thin in texture. It goes on easily and 9you don't need a lot to get a lather. After one rinse I could feel the difference - my hair felt clean. I shampooed again with only a tiniest bit of shampoo and got a great lather again. The result was easy to handle hair with a definite feel of cleanliness and a healthy look.

Tips: Less is more - you really don't need much - shoulder length hair only 10 cent amount.
I dyed my hair about 2 weeks before using this product. I used it in conjunction with the conditioner. The first time i used this, i found my hair dye was still comming out through the shampoo. Since then my hair has lightened and has gone to a dark brown with a hint of purple. I orginally dyed my hair purple. I am dissapointed with this product but I am not sure if it was the hair dye I used or the shampoo and conditioner, as I used a new hair dye.
I would give this another try using the brand I always use to see if it works, but pretty dissapointed overall with the colour of my hair :(
The first thing I usually do with shampoo and conditioner is have a good sniff. It smells good, I think it has that generic shampoo smell so it's not really anything special. It comes in a 250ml bottle, so it's a decent size. I like the shape of the bottle but there is a lot going on in the packaging though with lots of information but it still looks nice sitting in the corner of the shower!
The shampoo itself has quite a silky feeling to it and lathers up well so you don't need to use much. I wash twice with shampoo and then condition.
At the moment I have a directions colour in my hair, red to be exact and it's still fading very fast. I think it would be better for someone that has a permanent colour in their hair.
There was a day in the last three weeks (bad) that I didn't straighten my hair and left it to dry naturally and it did go very fluffy.
Usually my head is very oily so I have to wash my hair daily otherwise it ends up itchy and has that real 'hair' smell but for the first time ever I have been able to wash it every second day. That is why I will be buying it again!
Tips: Use with conditioner
I colour my hair a lot so was looking forward to trying this product out to see if it helped the colour stay in and I was pleasantly surprised. The temporary colours lasted a lot longer than usual and the permanent colour stayed vibrant. The packaging was eye catching in a stand out red and is reasonably priced for the size of the bottle. I won't be using this product again as it made my hair feel very oily at the roots yet dried my scalp out.
This shampoo definitely soaks all the oil out of your hair! Definitely gets any build up of product out of your hair! The shampoo was not to foamy and the scent was neither over powering or under powering - quite a natural clean scent which I like. I've seen a small change in the brightness of my hair colour but not anything overly dramatic.
Tips: Follow up with the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Conditioner for ultimate shine and softness.
OK so I recently coloured my hair red.. and I mean RED! I was excited when I got the invite for the trial because as we all know red hair colour is notoriously hard to maintain and I was hoping this shampoo would be the one.
I had already washed my hair with other shampoos 3 times since colouring my hair so that means it was about 15 days into the new colour when I used the L'Oreal for the first time.
I certainly wasn't expecting the shampoo to foam up red and strip my hair colour but that is what it did on the two occasions I used it. After that I was hesitant to use it again because I had spent so much money and time into colouring my hair I didn't want any more of it to wash out!
Overall I am disappointed in this shampoo. I know red hair is the hardest to maintain but I have never experienced a colour protect shampoo stripping colour before.
Guess it's back to the drawing board to find a shampoo that will do what it says it will do.
Tips: No tips. Just note that if you have really red coloured hair you may be disappointed in this shampoo like I was
I have a sensitive scalp and I found this shampoo really nice to use. My hair felt really soft. My colour has continued to look great.
Tips: Only use a small amount.
For some context here, I colour my hair with a semi-permanent colour, not a permanent one.
My colour would normally begin to fade to its normal coppery tone after about 4 weeks, but after using this it seems to have lasted a little longer than usual, but nowhere near as long as the loreal professionnel version of this does. For the price point though, it's probably worth it.
The smell is nice, but strong enough that a colleague mentioned smelling it in the lift when I exited.
Did leave my hair feeling quite soft and manageable which was impressive. After so much colouring, my hair is usually a matted mess after a single gust of wind but not with this shampoo and conditioner.
Tips: Really needed to wash hair the night before in order to keep the scent from being overpowering the next day.
As far as colour saver I don't think it does this as my darker colour still fades out fast. I do like this product as it keeps my hair clean, soft and feels nourished it definitely breaks less and looks more healthy. I used it in conjunction with my professional blonde shampoo(every third wash) and my hair definitely feels better I would buy this one again.
Tips: Wash twice, always wash twice my hairdressers advice and it's the best thing I've ever stated doing. First wash takes off the 'dirt' second washes the hair itself-makes it last longer. You only need a very small amount like the size of your thumb nail
I received this as part of the trial and So far I am really impressed with this product. I've recently recoloured my hair violetred so was perfect product to trial. The first thing I noticed was that when I lathered up my hair, the foam didn't turn pink like it has done with other products. I also loved the feel of the foam, really soft and silky. It leaves my hair feeling really clean and soft.definately use again
Tips: lather up easily and wash it out thoroughly for best results.
