I normally only purchase salon brand hair care so was quite reluctant to try this. However I was pleasantly surprised. I found this shampoo very gentle on my coloured hair. It cleansed my hair without stripping nutrients from it - essential given the amount of colour I have in my hair. Good value for money when the budget can't stretch to more premium products.

I tried this Shampoo after just colouring my hair a week earlier. The smell was really nice and it left my hair feeling and looking shiny and healthy. As far as colour preservation for 28 washes goes I wouldn't be too confident that this is true I haven't noticed a lot with my hair.
This product was a pleasure to use. I found that my hair felt soft and not dry after using it. I am used to using a salon only product to protect my colour. I used this product and I am unsure from the time I started using it if it did protect my colour. My colour wasn't new (had been coloured three weeks previously) so was at the point where it was fading anyway. I liked how nourished my hair felt after I had used it together with the conditioner. If I wasn't buying my normal salon shampoo to protect my colour I would likely buy this one from the supermarket.
I have used numerous Colour Protection Shampoos due to having vibrant red colour throughout my hair. This product had a lovely smell that remained in my hair for the day. Packaging was appealing and eye catching which would be good on supermarket shelf. Only a small amount of shampoo was required (less than usual for my thick hair) and it lather up well. I felt my hair lacked a bit of life and became relatively flat. For the amount of time used there was no significant difference in colour fade noted against other products.
Tips: Use a small amount of shampoo. Less is better.
As said in the title, I think I will need to trial this product a bit longer to see the benefits. As someone who does not wash her hair every day, instead every 2-3 days, I have not experiences the full 28 washes..
I dyed my hair before starting this trial and have washed my hair approximately 12-14 times with the Colour Protect shampoo. After the first wash, I noticed an all over shine which the back of the bottle states. After the most recent wash (after 14ish) I do not notice any change in my colour - always a plus!
Shampoo is light weight and smells great. Doesn't make my hair feel icky once dried and reacts well to styling.
I have using this product, daily, for the last week.
It comes in a funky red bottle, and is a great price... but i am still on the fence about it.
My colour hasn't faded, like it normally does with other shampoos in the same price range. Which is a great thing, really it was doing the main thing I was hoping for... but it didn't do much else.
It definitely did fell like it was getting deeply nourished, and there was little radiance or shine. My hair felt dried out, and my scalp has become flaky, which is something I have never had an issue with..
I wouldn't use it again, but if you dont want to spend a lot of money and need to have your colour hold for longer, this product will do the job, but like i said.. not much else.
Tips: I found that I needed to use more of this shampoo than I do my regular, to achieve the same "clean feel"
This product tends to leave my hair feeling like most supermarket shampoos.. really dry and like straw like. It smells amazing however and alongside the conditioner, my colour hasn't faded any further in the last couple of weeks since I have been using it. It has also made my colour look brighter but I do think that there are better things out there for the same price
The first time I used this I noticed a difference in my hair straight away. It felt so soft and shiny than before. Also my colour has stayed maintained which is a bonus as being blonde it can fade quite quickly. I normally mix up my shampoos and conditioners between supermarket and salon brands every week as otherwise my hair gets used to it and I don't really notice a difference after a while. I used this for a week and it was still just as soft and shiny like the first time I used it. Used with the conditioner it's a great combination and the overall results look great. I'm happy with how my hair looks and feels using this shampoo, especially the colour which looks healthy and brighter.
I have dyed black hair and like to keep my colour looking fresh and vibrant. I saw this at the supermarket for about $5 for a large bottle so decided to give it a try.
The bottle is a gorgeous vibrant red and I find it very attractive. The shampoo is on the thicker side, sometimes I actually think I've accidentally used the conditioner instead so I have to check.
It lathers up well in my hair, you only need a little bit and I feel I use far too much every time I use it. It does not leave my hair feeling like straw or tangled. It has a gorgeous scent which I love.
My hair is left feeling clean however I do get some colour wash out with this which I am not so happy about.
Used in conjunction with the conditioner they make a lovely pair. Not sure I would repurchase simply because of the colour wash out when it is supposed to be a colour lock shampoo.
I dyed my hair about 2 weeks before using this product. I used it in conjunction with the conditioner. The first time i used this, i found my hair dye was still comming out through the shampoo. Since then my hair has lightened and has gone to a dark brown with a hint of purple. I orginally dyed my hair purple. I am dissapointed with this product but I am not sure if it was the hair dye I used or the shampoo and conditioner, as I used a new hair dye.
I would give this another try using the brand I always use to see if it works, but pretty dissapointed overall with the colour of my hair :(
