Like the shampoo, this conditioner has a nice smell and the bottle size is great - it lasted a long time. It definitely made my hair silkier and gave it a nice shine, but I'm not sure it was any stronger. I did however notice that my blonde highlights seemed to retain their brightness for longer using this conditioner as well as the shampoo which was a bonus.

Tips: You don't need as much as you do shampoo, so just squeeze a little out and top up if you need it.
I used it together with the Total Repair 5 Shampoo and I felt they worked well together. My hair feels softer and smoother, however it didn't make it feel fuller. My hair is still quite thin/flat after using these products. The scent is great just like the shampoo and I'll probably use this again as it is not expensive and it's a brand thats easy to find.
It is a big call claiming to "repair" hair. I am always drawn to these claims despite knowing that it is slightly unrealistic. Sadly ELVIVE is another one of these products. While it smells divine and left my hair feeling smooth while wet there ppeared to be little difference once my hair dried. I have to add that I do only wash my hair every 5-6 days so only used this conditioner 4 times. Maybe there will be more change over a longer period of time. I will happily use the remainder of the bottle but with reduced expectations.
I have long wavy hair that is coloured. When I used the repairing conditioner partnered with the shampoo my hair felt great and revitalised. When I used the product frequently - like I do with other products - I started noticing dandruff. So, I decided to use the products once a week, usually on a Sunday and it brought my hair back to life without dandruff. The product has a really nice smell that lasts all day. Sometimes I use the conditioner on its on depending on how my hair is feeling at the time.
Tips: Use the product in moderation. Best results partner with the Shampoo and use this as Treatment for your hair.
My hair is what could be described as straw! I don't know what has happened over the last few years but its terrible!! The top layer is so dry that it gets knotted it all the time, so I was very excited to try this product in the hope of bringing some moisture into my hair. The product is a great price and lovely to apply to my hair. I have been using it for nearly 3 weeks now. it works into my hair nicely and is a pleasant fragrance. I have been using this in conjunction with the shampoo. But after I get out of the shower my hair is still knotty and very dry - unfortunately I was thinking this product might save the day, but Im wondering if there is little hope left for my hair. I'm sure it will be great for people with hair maybe not so damaged as mine.
After using the shampoo, conditioner, conditioning spray and treatment from the Loreal Elvive range it is the conditioner that I would describe as the runt of the litter. It still does the job, and it will still be reached for, but it's just not as spectacular.
Like all of the Loreal Paris products, the packaging is sleek, sturdy and the cap clicks on and off easily. The product inside is a little on the runny side, and we all know it is already difficult enough to get the conditioner to stay on the hair. I use this after shampooing and squeezing as much moisture out of my hair as possible. I then apply a very generous amount and leave it in for a few minutes. It smells like a salon conditioner which is a lovely bonus.
My hair doesn't tend to be particularly knotty after using shampoo and conditioner. However, I could hear my hair ripping whilst attempting to get the knots out, even when using a tangle teezer. The reason I use conditioner is to make it quick and easy to brush out my hair, and it felt like I had skipped the step entirely. I would be very hesitant to reverse wash with this conditioner.
The Loreal Paris Elvive conditioner did leave my hair soft. I wouldn't say it did a lot in terms of repairing, but it initially felt smooth and silky. However this work is undone when I have to attack my hair to get the knots out.
For someone with shorter, thinner hair I'm sure this would perform well. But that's it: it's good but not great. I will not be repurchasing this product, as if I continue to use it I will need to be very generous with the conditioning spray (which is amazing).
Tips: Combine this product with the Loreal Elvive conditioning spray as the conditioner will soften the hair, and the spray will detangle.
I always get excited at the prospect of using a new conditioner. I am still trying to achieve the salon feel at home.
Unfortunately, although this conditioner smells very nice it did little to my hair and left it feeling dry and weighed down by product.
My hair is very long and dry and in desperate need of a good moisturising conditioner.. This product was not impressive to me and would not be worth the $8.99 price tag
Tips: Apply alot to your hair to coat.
I am a hairdresser by trade so I was keen to give supermarket brands a whirl and see what they are like. I have been using Redken for about 7 years.
This conditioner is horrible!! It is so watered down and thin. It made my hair knotty and messy that I could not even run my fingers through my wet hair. A problem I have not had since I was 12!
I mixed and matched the Redken conditioner and shampoo with this Loreal conditioner and shampoo. Every time I used this conditioner, no matter if it was Redken shampoo or Loreal, my hair was in tatters. However, if I used any of the shampoos and my Redken conditioner, my hair was smooth and lovely. So it was definitely the conditioner at fault.
The shampoo was great, but the conditioner did not work well with my hair type.
Tips: Don't hesitate to mix different shampoo and conditioner brands. If you've got a great shampoo but a bad conditioner, just mix and match till you find the perfect combo.
This conditioner smells amazing and looks great in the packaging. I went four days without washing my hair, I didn't even need to use dry shampoo until the 4th day. this is unheard of for my hair! I was very impressed. My hair remained smooth and glossy even after straightening! Usually if I use conditioner, I need to wash my hair the next day, very happy about this!! I have long, coloured, damaged hair from straightening and blow drying but unfortunately over the trial period I did not see a difference in my hair condition. might need to use for a longer period. It did however take away some frizzyness. After using the conditioner, there were still knots left in my hair which other conditioners I use usually get rid of when washed out so this was a bit disappointing for me.
I have quite long, thick, damaged hair. This conditioner promised to make it feel healthier, softer and silkier, as well as repairing it. To some extent it did, but it didn't work as well as my Redken conditioner. I also didn't notice any difference in the health of my hair after using it for the full trial period.
I had to use massive amounts of this conditioner just to feel any difference in my hair, so I've basically run out of it by the end of the trial period (less than a month). Generally, I would expect conditioner to last a little longer than that. It's probably not worth it for the price.
