L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Conditioner Review

FIRSTLY i have been waiting to put this in, i am AMAZED! the feel is like any other conditioner except when i applied i noticed it had an amazing smell and i never notice smells generally, my hair has dramatically stopped breaking and no longer looks split and icky on the ends (amazing) once i had washed out the best part for me I COULD STILL SMELL THAT YUMMY SMELL a little disjointed it seemed to vanish the couple times after first wash but im not put off because my hair is literally 100x better and i have tried soooo many

The scent of this product is amazing but the formula and the product its self is horrible for my hair type. all it did for me was make my hair look greasy!

I have been super abusive to my hair over the years and it has taken its toll in a bad way. My hair is usually very dry and breaks off at the ends leaving it looking in need of a cut all the time. It gets knotty and just awful to deal with so i usually just straighten it and tie it up. NOW I HAVE MY HAIR BACK!! This conditioner had breathed life back in to my hair. Its so soft and it doesn't tangle. The ends that were pretty much like straw are now lovely soft and look healthy. I enjoy the smell from this conditioner. Along with the shampoo, it lasts till the next time i wash my hair which i really love. I love this conditioner and it will now be the only one i use from now on. It's hard to judge a shampoo and conditioner separately - as the outcome is a result of both. So that part I'll combine. As for the application - the conditioner, like the shampoo, had a delicious smell.It had a really sleek feel on, almost like a mask. I used quite a lot - and this might in fact contribute to my 'soft' issue. The result (of the two combined....) - the first thing I noticed was the softness. My hair usually feels somewhat dry after washing, and until it's straightened it is a bit unruly. I found with this it dried soft - to the point where straightening my hair was easier - but with the result of kinking if I tried to tie it up too soon. I'm guessing it comes down to how damaged your hair is - the moreso the better this product would be, and for me, I don't think my hair is damaged enough. The one up however I did find was that my hair stayed 'fresher' for longer, i.e. didn't get a greasy 'I need to wash my hair' feel as soon as with my usual. I didn't dislike the product - and will happily use out the rest of the bottle, but not sure I'd buy it again in comparison to the likes of Garnier repair range.

I had never tried a L'oreal Paris Conditioner before, so i was pretty interested in finding out how it would stand up to other conditioners i have used. I didn't really like the consistency of this conditioner as it was thick but quite runny. The minute i opened the lid, it all started spurting out. The runny consistency also made it quite hard to apply as i felt like i needed to use more of it in order for it to actually condition my hair. This conditioner is very masculine smelling; it honestly smells like a mens conditioner. Its certainly not a bad smell, its just not very feminine. I was able to go 3 days without washing my hair again after first using this conditioner. I normally have quite oily hair, so this was quite an achievement. This is 1 day longer than my usual conditioner. I found this helpful because it meant i wasnt washing my hair as often so i was saving a lot of time and also wasn't using the product as much. This means that it lasts longer. The packaging isn't very aesthetically pleasing. Its very simple, and its not something that would catch my eye in the supermarket. My hair went very frizzy the next day after using this conditioner. I also didn't feel like the conditioner did what it promised to do and that was repair my hair. I still had my split ends and my hair felt no stronger or better than it usually does. However, it did make my hair very silky and soft to the touch. Overall, i don't think that i would buy this product myself and its not something i would entirely recommend to people i know.

I'm usually a big fan of L'Oréal as a company, most of their cosmetics and products I totally fawn over. Sadly, though, this conditioner totally fell short of my expectations!

My hair is naturally curly, long, and has been quite damaged recently due to colour treatments and straightening. So I was super excited to test out this conditioner that claimed to be able to totally solve my problems! I use conditioner daily as part of my hair care routine, and after using up the entire bottle of this product, the results were...meh.

I noticed no real change in my hair, in terms of strength, fullness, being revitalised, silky, or shiny. It pretty much stayed exactly the same! I also found that this conditioner did very little to help detangle my curls in the shower each morning - I had to use double the amount of product that I usually use just to comb through the knots. Unimpressed.

The product did smell really nice, and the packaging was eye-catching. But unfortunately that's all I can really say that I liked about this product. Bummer!

I have been using this with the matching shampoo and I love the shampoo but the conditioner not as much. The conditioner is thin and I prefer it to be thicker so I can feel it coating all my hairs. Since it is so thin I feel like I must use a lot of it to moisturise all my hair and I think it will definitely run out before the shampoo. It is hard to spread it through the hair. The smell is like the shampoo, normal shampoo/conditioner smell, it's nice. After my hair has dried with this conditioner my hair feels very soft but the curls in my hair are not so curly. Since I didn't really like this conditioner too much I tried the shampoo with a different conditioner and got worse results, so I guess even though it is thin it works! The price is reasonable and you get better results than some salon products, so I am happy with it.

ELVIVE total repair 5 conditioner is a wonderful complement to the shampoo. I normally need a lot of conditioner for my hair but I found with this product I didn't need as much which is great as I normally go through 2 conditioners to 1 shampoo. (I have long hair) After using it for a while, it has improved the overall condition of my hair and made it a lot more manageable, silkier and noticeable soft. Very happy with this product and will defiantly be using it again :)

I'm pretty neutral on this conditioner (and the shampoo too). The texture is quite runny and the scent is quite light. My hair feels silky and manageable, but not as vibrant as usual.

It's a fine shampoo, but not the best ever.
