Great value for money

I really loved using this conditioner. Not only does it smells great, it leaves my hair feeling clean and moisturised. I really like how the conditioner has a thick consistency which allows my hair to soak up all the goodness! It was good to see that just after one wash, it leaves my hair feeling moisturised but not greasy. It doesn't feel like I have to wash multiple times to get the product out of my hair. After a few uses, I can see my hair getting a lot shinier and less dry! I absolutely love this range and will continue to purchase this in the future.

Tips: Use a comb in the shower after putting conditioner will leave your hair extra smooth and tangle free! Also brushing your hair means giving your head a mini spa in the shower! Bliss :)

Tangle City

I bleach my hair so I'm always in need of a good conditioner that will help to repair my hair. I tried the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Conditioner after using the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Shampoo oping that they would wok well in conjunction with each other. The conditioner was a nice creamy texture and I had to use quite a bit to coat my long hair. It has a nice scent but nothing special. When I condition my hair, I run my fingers through my hair to comb out any knots. With this conditioner in my hair it was a nightmare to run my fingers through and I ended up with more knots than I started with. It took my a while to work them out. I did find that my hair felt really soft after using the product however it dried quite frizzy. I got my hair coloured later in the day and my hairdresser commented on how soft and clean my hair was (which is great) but she mentioned that it was frizzy because all the natural oils had been removed from my hair. I wouldn't purchase this again due to the fact that it made my hair so knotty when I was conditioning it.

Silky and Smooth

I was lucky enough to trial this through the lovely Beauty Review themselves and I have mixed feelings with it.

So lets talk packaging, its a nice size and lasts quite a while, easy to get out of the tube as it is more a squeezey one compared to the shampoo bottle. Also it has a great lid that opens and shuts easily so no problem of spilling.

Formula: It has a nice silky feeling to it and smells beautiful, kind of like a bowl full of fruit but as with the shampoo, I couldn't quite put my finger on the fragrance.

Using the Conditioner: After using the Shampoo, I added a small amount to my hand as stated in the instructions into my hair. I massaged it into my hair to make sure it got through to the areas needed. It felt really silky and smooth and felt really good after I rinsed it out, taking away the dry feeling that the shampoo left me with.

Results: My hair did feel really soft and silky and when it dried (I always air dry my hair) and it did have a nice shine to it. You don't want to add too much conditioner to your hair as it can end up making your hair feel greasy. I found that I had to wash my hair a little more frequently with this duo, and I used only a little amount so I know that the feeling of needing to wash my hair more frequently with it was not due to using too much.

I gave it 4 stars because its was a nice conditioner, felt good and smelt heavenly but deducted stars for the fact I had to wash my hair more than I normally would.

Silky smooth

Similar to the shampoo, I really loved the smell of this conditioner. It smelt salon fresh but I couldn’t quite put my finger on the combination of smells I was getting, but whatever it was smelt good. The packaging was just like the shampoo except the bottle was the other way around. It looked good quality except I didn’t like the colour red just as a personal preference. The standard shape and size of the bottle was nothing new but it worked well and it was easy to pour out the conditioner into the palm of my hand. It felt very silky on my hands and looked similar to the shampoo consistency – white and creamy, except a little silkier. Putting this on after the shampoo (which has stripped my hair and made it feel quite rough) made it nice and smooth and silky and easier to run my fingers through my hair.

My hair is quite damaged with lots of split ends so after using the conditioner (with the shampoo) I noticed results and my hair was looking a lot healthier – especially the ends seemed to be repairing. The conditioner made my hair feel extra silky smooth and shiny with minimal fly aways but it did feel a bit thin rather than make it look fuller which it promised to do.

As with the shampoo I am overall really pleased with the conditioner and the results it has given. I would definitely use it again and recommend to friends if they were seeking advice on what to buy.

Tips: Don't use everyday otherwise it can make your hair quite greasy. Try use every second day or less.

Not the best conditioner I've ever used

Again, I have curly, frizzy, oily, heavily heat damaged hair.

I used this in addition to the elvive total repair shampoo. It had a nice silky consistency and smells fantastic. And that's pretty much where my praise ends.

I had to condition my hair twice! It felt ok while I was in the shower. After I towel dried my hair, it was so matted and dry that I had to comb through a serum in my hair!!!!

I'm not sure if it was a combination of both products that my hair didn't take to kindly to but I probably won't be purchasing this conditioner again.

Totally didn't do what it said it would and I used it consecutively for 3weeks. I didn't notice strengthened hair at all. I was really disappointed, sad to say

Does what it says.

This is one of two supermarket brand conditioners that I have really liked. I found that it does do what it says I will. It has repaired some of my hairs damage from using a bleaching product, making it feel stronger and softer. The smell is nothing special but it subtle so surely wouldn't irritate anyone. Compared to other conditioners at the same price I think that this one is impressive.

Tips: I use the total repair shampoo and conditioner along with the restoring spray. I love love love the spray and notice a lot of improvement using all of the products together.

Conditioner

After shampooing my hair i am left with clean but extremely knotty hair. this product left my hair feeling soft, smooth and gave it a great shine, it also smells amazing. the product was easy to spread through out my hair but i did find i needed to use quite a bit of it, i also noticed that when i squeezed it out every time too much product would come out causing some to go to waste, overall for the affordable price you cant go wrong, definitely one of the best drug store conditioners i have used

Eventually got good results

I have been using this conditioner for about three weeks now and although I do like it, its not the best damage control conditioner I have used. My hair is quite dry and coarse, especially the ends, because I used to blow dry my hair a lot which damaged my hair.

I didn't think much of this product when I first started using it. It was decent enough, but didn't help with the dryness in my hair. But as I continued to use the product more throughout the weeks I began to notice a change in my hair. I have been using this conditioner, as well as the shampoo, twice a week for three weeks. My hair has become softer, less coarse and silkier to touch. My hair is looking healthier and has a bit of shine to it, but I haven't yet noticed a difference to the strength of my hair. I usually use argan oil in my hair while its damp, but have stopped to test out the conditioner. I have found that the conditioner doesn't give the results I get from argan oi, but I expect that over time it will improve the condition of my hair.

The smell is very delicate and fresh, and the conditioner is easy to spread making it easy apply to your wet hair. The texture is very smooth and silky, what you would expect from a normal conditioner, and the consistency is a bit on the runny side. Overall, I enjoyed using this product and although its not the best conditioner I have used, I think its really good. I have noticed a change in my hair once I have been using the product for a while, and I would recommend this to anyone that has dry hair. The price of this product is really good and you get a decent sized bottle.

Tips: Give this product a few weeks to work its magic even if you think it's not working at the beginning.

total hair repair prt2

This done everything it said it would and gave longerl llasting results over any other conditioner that I have used. It left my hair feeling and looking it's most healthiest in years, used along side total 5 restoring shampoo is one of the best hair repair products out on the market today

Tips: Leave in for an extra 2 to 3 minutes makes hair just that little bit more shiner and silkier

Disappointing

The packaging and smell are nice, but that's pretty much the only good things I have to say about this product. It's not that it's bad, it's just that for all the hype, and the whole Product Of The Year thing, but it just wasn't that great.

I have quite dry ends, and I've been told by my hairdresser that a way to tell if your hair is dry or your conditioner is not hydrating enough is that the ends of your hair will be quite dry as soon as you get out of the shower. I usually use the Longer and Stronger by Sunsilk, which is quite a thick formula and does a good job of keeping my hair hydrated. This, however, was very thin (thinner than I like a conditioner to be) and when I got out of the shower, my hair was drying out already. I tried this with and without using leave-in conditioner. With leave-in conditioner, my hair was manageable but still a teeny bit dry feeling; without it, my hair looked and felt horrible. It was dry and frizzy and honestly looked/felt like I had not used conditioner at all. For an apparently "restoring" conditioner, it wasn't very nourishing.

Tips: I've said it before, but I'll say it again :) All hair types are different. If your hair is less dry than mine, this will probably work a lot better for you. If it is dry like mine, this can still be used if you also use a leave-in conditioner after.
