So again with this one I took awhile to trial this as I was in 2 minds about it. The dull fragrance was lovely, didnt give me a headache and made using this product more pleasant. It has a soft texture and feels so gentle on my hair unlike other products I used. For the 1st week of used my hair felt AMAZING! I had people commenting on it asking what I was using or what I had done to it. It was easy to apply and had directions if you werent sure how to get full affect of the repairing. But sadly my joy went away the 6th wash. Did everything I normally do and massaged my hair as usual to find as soon as I had taken running water off my hair, it knotted and went gross like horse hair. My hair had never been like this even with how much damage I have inflicted on it. So I gave it another wash the next day, and again the same thing happened. (Was used in conjunction with the shampoo). So I ended up buying a leave in detangling spray to get the knots out and make my hair feel better. I was pretty disappointed. Im not sure if it was because my hair is severely damaged or what was happening.

Like the shampoo in this range I was really disappointed in this. Its claims to repair really seemed false when I used it (in conjunction with the Shampoo). The bottle is fairly standard. It has a bottom opening which is a feature I normally appreciate in a conditioner, but this was rather runny and the hole quite large so you ended up with a lot of product in your hand. This is quite useful as I found that I needed A LOT to get it to cover all my hair, and then it was a nightmare to rinse out. It does smell pretty, and its not too bad a price, but I won't be buying this
Tips: Save your $$$ and give this a miss
The conditioner is better than the shampoo, but not by much. I had to use more conditioner than i normally use because of how matted my hair was after using the shampoo. Although i have thick hair my hair doesn't usually get this matted. My hair does have a nice shine to it afterwards but not enough to make me want to repurchase this product.
Tips: Use lots
I usually use salon products which last for a long time as you dont have to use much product. I liked the smell however needed to use so much product to go through my hair after using the shampoo. I ended up using my normal conditioner as my hair didnt feel very nice. I think it works out cheapier to use the salon products as you don't have to use so much product.
Tips: Use a treatment after
I didnt honestly find this made a difference to the condition or feel of my hair. I found the formula quite runny and was left with a very strong perfume smell for the rest of the day which Im not too keen on. I guess you could call me a salon snob as I usuall have been using shampoo and conditioner fro a salon so maybe this is why I didnt notice a difference but didnt find my hair was any dryer or worse so if you cant afford a salon shampoo and conditioner this is a great affordable alternative. But it does say to follow up with the treatment which I didnt have so maybe this is an important step!? I wasn't totally disappointed but just didnt notice a difference
Tips: Follow up with the treatment :-)
Conditioner is the most important part to my hair washing routine because this is the element that is going to add moisture, help my frizz and give me smooth shiny hair.
My hair is quite curly, dry, frizzy and coarse if just left natural so the only types of conditioners that really work for my hair are those that are thick and creamy.
After shampooing my hair for Total Repair 5 shampoo my hair was left stringy and matted and I really had high hopes for an amazing conditioner that would just melt through the coarseness and give me glossy silky locks.
Sadly this conditioner is almost the consistency of water in my books. I usually just need a palm full to saturate the lower half of my hair and then comb through silky hair. With Total Repair 5 conditioner I needed 2 big handfuls of conditioner and while combing my hair, it just didnt feel soft and glossy and I wasnt pleased.
Blow-drying my hair I didnt see any fantastic results as promised although I must admit my hair does feel alot stronger after 4 weeks of usage. My hair also frizzed up much quite in the mornings after this shampoo/conditioner routine than it would with other brands I've tried.
This conditioner has not made my top favourites list and I dont recommend this to girls whos hair needs extra love when it comes to the conditioning stage and I feel your money would be better spent on other supermarket brands. I'm definitely not ready to give uo my WEN yet :)
Tips: Dont be scared to go alittle crazy with the amount of conditioner you use because its not potent and doesnt cause your hair to go oily.
I liked the shampoo better than the conditioner in this range! I have really knotty hair, and I found that this conditioner didn't work to detangle it at all and I was having to brush out knots after washing. I also noticed this conditioner didn't put any moisture back into my hair - it didn't feel softer and more hydrated, it felt quite dry. It did, however, leave me with more shine which is great as I'm prone to dullness. My hair also feels stronger and less brittle so it's not all bad! But you just don't get that soft feeling to the hair that you get from some conditioners, which I'm addicted to! I don't think I'll repurchase unfortunately.
Tips: I recommend this conditioner to those who do not struggle with knotty and dry hair, because it does do what it claims to do, it's just not hydrating enough for my particular hair type.
It is a big call claiming to "repair" hair. I am always drawn to these claims despite knowing that it is slightly unrealistic. Sadly ELVIVE is another one of these products. While it smells divine and left my hair feeling smooth while wet there ppeared to be little difference once my hair dried. I have to add that I do only wash my hair every 5-6 days so only used this conditioner 4 times. Maybe there will be more change over a longer period of time. I will happily use the remainder of the bottle but with reduced expectations.
I always get excited at the prospect of using a new conditioner. I am still trying to achieve the salon feel at home.
Unfortunately, although this conditioner smells very nice it did little to my hair and left it feeling dry and weighed down by product.
My hair is very long and dry and in desperate need of a good moisturising conditioner.. This product was not impressive to me and would not be worth the $8.99 price tag
Tips: Apply alot to your hair to coat.
I found that the conditioner was not moisturising and nourishing enough for my hair, and found that my hair was getting a lot more split ends and damage than I would normally get with my regular shampoo and conditioner. For the first couple of weeks my hair did look more shiny, fuller and softer but by the third week my hair started looking more coarse and dry and more damaged than usual. I only used heat styling once this whole time trialing and used a good heat protector so I didn't have any reason for my hair to have so many split ends. Overall it didn't really live up to its Total Repair name =(
Tips: I did like the shampoo, I felt it cleansed my hair great and didn't leave it looking very frizzy or fluffy like some shampoos do.
