After reading all the good reviews I though I give it a try. I was so disappointed in this cream as it is thick like putty and doesn't really spread very well on face. Foundation on top looked very streaky. Sorry Loreal. Don;t like this face cream

Tips: Use for neck only as its quite thick and may remove wrinkles
Its not often that I would give a L’Oreal product the thumbs down, but for me this was ineffective in many ways. I clearly didn’t research it enough, but purchased it as it contained hyaluronic acid and is SPF50. My skin didn’t respond to it eg felt dry and thirsty making me apply yet more which was probably a bad move. I am sure it would be beneficial for some - just not me.
Well I still have my lines. When I started this trial I unfortunately knew it wouldn't be a magic recipe however I have been using this for nearly two weeks and I have to say my skin feels softer and in some ways my lines appear softer also. When applied to your palm and rub both together it goes on nicely without leaving it feeling greasy. A nice fragrance not to over powering. Will definitely keep using it.
I found this cream a really nice rich consistency and it was beautiful and nourishing. It left my skin feeling amazing over most of face and especially my neck area which is starting to show some signs of aging.
The downfall for me was the fragrance, it is so strong I found it very overpowering....but keeping in mind I have the nose of a bloodhound. But the more sensitive areas of my face like around my nose where I tend to get a bit of dermatitis flared up biiiig time.
Would really love this product in a fragrance free formula as I did like the way it felt and preformed but the fragrance made it a no go for me.
Tips: Wouldn't recommend for more sensitive skin
Firstly I love the gunmetal packaging that it comes into. It looks metallic so pretty cool indeed! The creme is quite thick, but spreads really well onto the skin. I haven't even dented the pot at all so I suspect this will be massive value for money. It's nice to know that it has a SPF of 50 so I feel like I have great protection from harmful UV rays.
I'm not sure if I've noticed a reduction in my lines, but I think I'm getting past the backspace stage. However, I feel that my skin feels more even in texture & most certainly hydrated.
Tips: Use sparely as it spreads a long way
I was a lucky participant in the trial team for this product. It arrived a bit late so I am writing this on Day 11 of using it.
I am mid-50's, with combination skin. I am prone to really dry cheeks and the nose to chin lines, plus, my skin is quite sensitive and reactive.
This product comes in a standard jar packaging with no dispenser or scoop (so fingers in the jar), and upon opening it the fragrance was quite pleasant and a nice surprise as I tend to avoid fragrance due to my skin sensitivity. The smell dissipated shortly after application. The consistency is quite creamy and it spreads easily.
It did tingle a little when first applied, which I think might be the astringent effect of Denatured Alcohol as it is the fifth ingredient listed. The product has a very impressive list of the latest chemical sunscreen ingredients with a good spread of UVA and UVB protection.
As a moisturiser, and applying a normal (maybe 1/8 teaspoon) amount it went on with a white cast but it did set back quite well and reasonably quickly (15 mins). It felt moisturising without being too heavy or greasy for me, so I liked it well enough for a day time moisturiser.
However, in case you need a reminder, all SPF ratings are set using the 2mg per square centimetre of your face - that means half a teaspoon of this is required to reach SPF50! Plus, you need to reapply every two hours to keep it up. I dug out my kitchen measuring spoons and went ahead with the half teaspoon. Unfortunately using the full amount led to major white cast and I was left with white spots settling into my pores all day - not visible from a distance but good eyesight close up would probably notice it. Plus, that amount of product just didn't work well with my makeup leaving me with a lot of pilling.
So, as a moisturiser this gets a solid pass, and I think if you were going with the layering technique of using SPF rated moisturiser, primer, foundation and powder then this would be a great base. However, if you just want to throw one product on to get an SPF50 then I think there are better options.
I've had no irritation or skin flaking which is a win for me. Oh, and on the filler part? I'm, still waiting for that bit to happen ;-)
Tips: Be prepared to do a bit of trial and error with the dosage rate if you want it to play nicely with other products such as sunscreens, primers and foundations.
I've got this product to try from the rewards vault and was super excited to try it. I have been using it for about a month now. First impressions were that it was thick and sticky and went on more like a sunblock than a moisturizer. I also find the fragrance a little overpowering. It does slightly tighten my lines, but doesn't make my skin feel any better. I love the sunblock in it because it saves one step in my morning routine. It's hard to say if I have noticed any permanent difference in my fine lines, but certainly nothing outstanding. Would I use the product again? Yes i probably would given the sunblock factor and now that i have got used to the fragrance. However, I'm not sure I would spend the money on it, especially with it being so thick, you tend to use a lot to get a better coverage. It was great to try for free! Thank you Beauty Review for the opportunity ❤
Both my 81 year old mother and myself (54) trialled the product. We both loved the way it made our skin feel and this continued throughout the day. It was so plump right into the evening. I did notice a few less wrinkles around the eyes but I really wanted to reduce the large frown line, which wasn’t to be the case. It was nice to know when heading out with only the moisturiser on that I had also sun blocked with SPF50. We really enjoyed using the product and will definitely buy again.
Tips: Just use night and morning and your skin will feel amazing - definitely plump is the right word
Thanks for the opportunity to test this product, Beauty Review! It was great to try it during our winter as my skin was feeling slightly dry and tight, even though I typically have combination skin. I used to this cream every morning for 2 weeks. I enjoyed the mild pleasant scent and the silky medium texture of the cream.
By the end of the first week, I did start to notice my skin feeling a little more plump, particularly around my cheek and mouth area (where I’m starting to see those fine lines creep in at 38). As I continued to use it I noticed that the surface texture of my skin was starting to look and feel smoother. If you are a heavy makeup wearer, I’d recommend a matte primer on top as with all day creams that contain sunscreen (which I think is a must all year round), there does tend to be a heavier shine.
I ended up buying the L’Oréal Revitalift Re-Plumping Gel Wash to use because I enjoyed the plumping effects of this cream so much. Would recommend to those wanting a helping hand with their skin firmness!
Tips: This cream spreads quite well so you don’t need too much of it. As usual, don’t neglect the neck and décolletage area too. :)
I had high hopes for L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler Deep Replumpint SPF50 Day Moisturiser- I have previously tried other products in the range and really enjoyed them. But this day cream just did not work for me. The product comes on L’Oréals signature square pot and has a screw top lid. It is lightly scented with a floral perfume which I am not bothered about but may be something to consider if you are sensitive to smells. The formula is cream coloured and very thick - I was quite surprised at how thick! I am so pleased that the cream contains SPF 50 as I am always trying to find products that are multi use. It also contains concentrated hyuloronic acid which is deep penetrating and plumps skin cells to help the skin look fuller and smooth out fine lines.
BUT…. As I mentioned, this cream is thick. And for me, it just did not absorb into my skin. I felt like it lay on top, like a layer of icing on a cake and felt sticky and heavy. I also found it did not spread easily so you needed to use a decent amount of actually cover your skin. I faithfully tried this product for a week and absolutely hated it. I felt like my skin could not breathe and also noticed I had a few irregular pimples which I would attribute to it as well. I have not noticed any major difference in my skins texture and would not purchase this cream again.
