I absolutely love this mascara, it really does separate and lift your lashes beautifully. Not clumpy or hard to work with at all. I always go for the waterproof mascaras. they hold really well and never flake under the eye. Volume million lashes mascara has been my "go to" mascara for a very long time now.

Reviews
The Packaging on this Mascara is very luxe looking and feeling. Its heavy and feels like Glass with a gold handle and gold writing, it feels very high end.
The Brush and bristles are very nice, I like how bendable the wand is and was able to get all of my lashes without covering my face in it.
The colour of the mascara was a beautiful deep black. It claims to give 7x more volume, I have to say it really delivered on that. I usually struggle to find a mascara that gives me length and volume, I really loved the way this looked my eye lashes were so think and full and not clumpy even with a couple of coats.
Now to the clain that it lasts all day, within 6 hours I have panda eyes and flakes coming off, I have combo oilly skin, and work as a vet nurse so getting hot and moving around alot. the first time I had tried using two coats, so the next day I tried just one- it still looked lovely but again within 6 hours panda eyes and flakes.
I REALLY wanted to love this and on first application I thought this may be my new holy grail.
so hence the low rating- perhaps if you have a sedentary job or more of a dry complexion this may work better for you
Tips: Use a lash curler and 2 coats for stunning looking voluminous lashes
This mascara is quite thick which I am often a bit cautious of because I don’t want clumpy lashes, but it didn’t really clump at all which was great. The applicator brush is great and easy to use, it has quite short bristle but that wasn’t a problem. It took a bit of extra effort to get all my lashes coated because it’s quite thick mascara, but once it was on they looked great! Unfortunately throughout the day I would notice little specks of it around my eyes as it started to crumble off which is not ideal at all. Overall I think it’s a fairly standard mascara, I think it’s easy to apply, and added great depth to my lashes, but didn’t last super long. So not bad at all, but not wonderful either.
I really enjoyed this mascara trial - thanks BR!
I like that it's suitable for sensitive eyes, its obviously a very gentle formula, I noticed no irritation even though I began using it just after a very painful Retinol reaction!
It really is anti-clump, separating lashes easily and evenly. No spider legs here, just longer, thicker lashes.
I wish it were waterproof as it does transfer easily, but I guess one mascara can't do it all and on a plus point the non-waterproof formula does make it easy to remove with your usual cleanser.
I'd say it's not one for the eye rubbers among us, but if you prefer a non-waterproof finish, or have sensitive eyes, this will give you dramatic lashes with no irritation or hassle!
Unfortunately a pretty disappointing mascara from start to finish. The tube is nice enough, but comes with a sticker on the wand handle which is impossible to remove without leaving sticky residue behind - a real pet peeve of mine.
The short bristles made the mascara fairly difficult to apply without getting the whole wand right up in your lash line, resulting in a lot of mascara on my eyelids that needed to be tidied up. While this is absolutely at least partially down to my lack of finesse, I don't have nearly as much trouble with other mascaras, including similar wand styles albeit with longer bristles.
The coverage and effect of the mascara itself was actually quite nice. It was a fairly clump-free formula which was great. Not much curl so definitely use with a curler if you have pin straight lashes like mine, but plenty of definition and not bad length.
However, the absolute failing point that makes me unable to keep using this mascara is how insanely wet the formula is. I applied my mascara 5 minutes before heading out the door to work and it was STILL WET when I got to work an hour later. Because of this it smears EVERYWHERE if you aren't careful. Even when it does seem to be dry, smudging and fallout are a real problem throughout the day.
I usually buy cult favourites of mascara like better than sex or Jeffree star mascara so to try one you can just grab from the chemist or supermarket was awesome. I’m really impressed with this mascara really fans the lashes out while giving length and volume. Not clumpy or spider lash giving. Does not transfer to eyelids or go everywhere smudge etc. I would definitely buy this one again
Tips: Maybe two coats are needed
I generally struggle with finding eye make up that will suit my sensitive eyes. I was excited to trial L'Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Balm Noir Mascara for that very reason and also because it has 99% natural origin ingredients.
The package and tube is like a typical mascara.
I loved that it was easy to apply, it just glided on and did not clump.
I got just the right amount on and instantly volumized my lashes.
I like that it's fragrance-free and after having it on all-day , it did not cause my eyes any irritation. It was quick and easy to remove at the end of the day.
I would definitely recommend it and purchase it again, it certainly gave my eyes a pop and perked up my face.
As an avid fan of the higher end mascara products, I was definitely super sceptical of this product from L'Oreal, as I am admittedly a bit of a brand snob sometimes.
However, this little number really surprised me! I really liked the flexibility and design of the wand, you'll be hard-pressed to have clumpy lashes with this wand. Moreover, the formula of the product is really smooth, silky and applies beautifully. I have naturally really long eyelashes and will always curl before application but this mascara makes it look almost like I've had a natural set of eyelash extensions (yes, it's that good). I usually wipe the end of the wand out of habit but with this product, you really don't need to do that (the claims are mostly true).
I think that when you consider the price point as well, this product really outdoes itself. It beats its more expensive counterparts and if you're on the hunt for a wallet-friendly mascara that really does add length to your lashes, this is your pick.
The only thing I will say it doesn't do as much is creating excessive fullness. However, this isn't something I personally mind as I'm a huge fan of adding lashes on top to achieve that effect.
Tips: Curling your lashes before an application is a must. Additionally, I would still be delicate as it's quite a dark mascara and you will notice if you mistakenly put mascara under your eyes instead of on your lashes.
The consistency is really nice, and it goes onto lashes easily. The built-in wiper works well to remove excess off the brush except the tip, so if you use the tip to get into corners be prepared with a lash comb to remove excess product.
It didn't smell of much which is nice and it didn't irritate my sensitive eyes. I didn't test it with contacts so I can't say if it works well with them.
It stayed put pretty well through the day with no panda eyes, although there was some flaking that I had to wipe off. It removes pretty well at the end of the day with just cleanser, minimal panda eyes the next day.
Pros: Easy to apply and remove Separates lashes really well Stays put without panda eyes No fragrance or irritation
Cons: Doesn't provide masses of volume Flakes a bit
Tips: If you want volume be prepared for multiple coats, one coat is great for everyday natural.
Have a lash comb ready if you use the end of the brush to get into the corners of your eyes.
Not waterproof, so will run in the rain.
I always tend to seek out mascara that are suitable for sensitive eyes; I suffer from easily irritated eyes, be it hayfever or just the cold air. On paper the Volume Million Lashes Balm Noir sounds perfect for me - and it pretty much is!
I love that the formula is full of the big NOs - no silicones, mineral oils or parabens. All things I try to avoid in my cosmetics. I would have thought fragrance-free was a given for mascaras, but as they're advertising this as fragrance-free I guess it isn't!
The brush collects just the right amount of product to coat the lashes evenly, top and bottom. It does definitely separate lashes, and they remain neat and evenly fanned out even with a second or third coat. No clumping at all.
The only downside is it does smudge a little towards the end of the day, but that's par for the course for a washable mascara I'd say.
All up I'm happy with my volumised lashes and would totally buy this again!
