I found this to be quite clumpy, so it really reduced the amount of lashes I appear to have my sticking them together. It's quite expensive for the result. I liked the darkness of colour though, and thought it added length, but not volume.

Oh man do I wish I had known about BR before I purchased this... A very thin formula and a flexible brush that was easy to use, the gold packaging made it seem very luxe for the price $35(ish) but I felt it made my lashes very straight and spider-like when layered, not to mention a very long drying time which with my hooded eyes meant MESS! Maybe for someone who wants a lot of length or just one coat to fairly curled lashes, just not for me unfortunately!
Tips: Probably work better on curled lashes?
Although my past experience with L'Oreal Paris mascaras has been excellent, I was rather disappointed with this particular product. My problem lies not in the application or quality of the mascara formula (the 'millionizer brush combined with carbon-black pigments' does indeed 'separate lashes for clean volume and an intense lash'), but in the stinging reaction I had following application! My eyes reacted quite strongly to this product, not to mention several lashes actually came out upon removing the mascara. Whether this is due to an ingredient in the formula or the shape of the brush, I am unsure, but I definitely will not be purchasing this mascara in the future.
Tips: I prefer the L'Oreal Paris Extra Volume Collagene mascara over this one, for equally effective length extension, volume and product dispersal with no negative side-effects.
Have been using this off and on for about a month now. The upside is that it doesn't clump or get messy. The downside is that it takes several applications to have any real affect. The coverage is quite thin, so I often end up using an old one I have to give my lashes more volume. So it's great if you want a thin coating and nothing too noticeable. However, I would rather just apply once rather than have to apply 2-3 times like I do for this mascara.
Tips: May have to apply more than once, as coverage is quite subtle.
So everyone seems to have this mascara on their favourites list. I picked it up thinking it might actually make my lashes look voluminous like it claims, but nope, it made my lashes look stumpy and spidery and clumpy in one application. I applied it like i would with a normal mascara and it was like spider legs. This mascara is more for people with already long lashes, if you're asian and you have short lashes, stay away.
Tips: Not for short lashes at all.
I like this mascara but did find the formula got clumpy quite fast after opening. It did make my lashes look thicker but didn't do too much in terms of lengthening which is what i mainly look for in a mascara!
On my quest to find a Holy Grail Mascara, I purchased this despite its slightly more expensive price tag for a mascara and at first instance I loved it but as time went on it really started to disappoint me.
At the start, this mascara was so amazing. The wet formula coated my lashes well and the long thin rubber bristled brush (which I LOVED) separated my lashes amazingly - giving volume and length. The mascara also held a curl very well - when I got home my lashes were still in the same shape as I had done in the morning and there was no transfer or smudging onto my bottom lid which is a must for a waterproof mascara! There was also no flaking whatsoever throughout the day.
However after a few weeks, I found that the mascara dried up really fast and I assure you that I close the tube tightly after using it (as a poor uni student, I gotta make things last as long as they can!). As a result of the mascara drying up so fast - application was a lot harder, clumps were everywhere, my lashes were no longer lovely and separated and black flakes started appearing on my cheeks during the day. I was so disappointed that the formula had dried up on me and ended up throwing the mascara away since I couldn't use it. It simply felt like a big waste of money as mascaras should last for three months not a few weeks. I did end up keeping the wand however to brush through my lashes afterwards since it did that well - but overall with the formula it personally felt like such a waste.
Tips: Don't throw away the wand with the mascara when you're done with it. Wash it and use it to comb through your lashes after applying mascara to separate and get rid of clumps!
I waited a long time to get this mascara, mainly because of the price and I knew I had other, cheaper mascaras that I loved.
I found this gave me great seperation,no clumps, great longevity but very little volume and didnt hold a curl. My lashes without length or volume just look short and stubby and if I didnt use this as a layering mascara, thats what it gave me. I wanted to like this mascara so badly!
I actually love and adore loreal products esp their waterproof mascara. However, I got to a point wherein I got tired of putting mascara everyday.. It's like time consuming. That's why I decided to try eyelash extension and see how it will work for me. Since I'm from Canada, I sought the service of Master Technician Yvette Spencer from Eyelash Canada and I was very happy with the results. The process is not painful like what others say. But the overall impact of my new lashes to my personality and sense of well being is superb. I'm not saying you should all ditch using mascara, I'm just merely stating my opinion between using a everyday mascara and waking up in the morning feeling beautiful without any make-up.
Tips: Just think carefully, if mascara or a eyelash extension will work best for you.
This one just doesn't do it for me. It doesn't make my lashes look as lush as other products I've used, and it seems to 'wear off' quickly.
One thing I did like about it is that it doesn't cause circles under my eyes as the day wears on, but it doesn't last long enough for me to buy it again.
