I had really big expectations for this foundation, coverage was good application was good but even after setting it it just seemed to move around a lot. I have normal to dry skin. Maybe I need to play around with some different primers. Any tips?
I got this foundation after watching Lauren Curtis use it, but was a little disappointed. The coverage I would rate as a 6/10. I have to apply quite a bit to get a good flawless coverage. I found it also becomes greasy quite fast, within at least a couple of hours so is not very long-wearing on my skin, however it may be better on other people. But I do like the fact that it is quite a thin formula and doesnt feel extremely caky like some liquid foundations.
the foundation is not very runny.a half pump dispenses this much product.i did not had a hard time blending the foundation, this doesnt stick really fast on your skin.it feels light which is a great factor for me considering that this may give you a Medium-full coverage. so far so good.
this morning i applied this foundation, and set it with my Estee lauder loose power on my t zone. i have normal skin and can be slightly oily on t zone. so after 3 hours working in the mall, the foundation fades off on my whole face, my face looks very oily and dark(probably because oxidized?.) so i assume this foundation is more suitable for very dry skin? but it is definitely not for me.
When I first tried a sample of this product I LOVED it, it made my skin look amazing without having to use a large amount. But it starting oxidizing within a week -no other foundation has ever made me SO orange. I went down a shade, tried a primer, used powder but it looks terrible. Totally gutted because I know this works well for so many people! Everything else about it was great - love the bottle and the pump, I'd have to say the packaging is the nicest I've ever used. Also LOVE the shade range, caters for so many skin tones.
Tips: Get a decent sized sample to see if it oxidizes or not! It does have an awesome reputation, so don't just take my word for it.
I was quite disappointed, to say the least, with this product. It wasn't the foundation for me. I personally found it to be gluggy, and not "super blendable" at all! What I disliked the most was even the smallest amount sat heavily on my skin, accentuated blemishes and pores, and as I said before, was not at all "super blendable". Sorry L'Oreal, this one is a foundation flop!
I haven't worn foundation in years but recently a friend gifted me a bottle of True Match to try. I applied it using a damp beauty blender and found it to be very streaky and uneven. In the end it looked very cakey and made my skin look dry. Perhaps a damp beauty blender is the wrong way to apply it? I've used Maybelline Fit Me concealer for years with a damp blender and it goes on great, so maybe True Match is better applied some other way.
I must say with all the hype this product got I was kind of disappointed! In saying that I love a full coverage foundation! This is the foundation I turn to when I want a "light/no-makeup look" kind of day. It blends well onto the skin and sits lightly on your face all day! But for some reason it just doesnt do it for me!
