I really love the look of this foundation- a dewy look that is perfect for dry skin. Light to medium coverage, I found it didn't really cover all my blemishes. I have sensitive skin, so I was disappointed a week after using this my skin broke out- so unfortunately had to stop using it.

I love how this foundation is true to its claim that it illuminates the complexion but the coverage was not enough for me. I put 2 layers of it on but it looked like I was just wearing a BB cream or a tinted moisturizer in terms of coverage. It was also sticky on my face when it has set.
Tips: Don't forget to set this foundation with a powder. :)
I recently picked up the lightest shade from the range which was on offer at my local Farmers which turned out to be C2 - Rose Porcelain. Even though it screamed like alarm bells in my head that rose will mean it will have a pink undertone I took my chances on this over $40 foundation without testing as I hate doing that in store, besides the testers were all caked up and nasty a real turn off, but Loreal foundations have always been kind to me so felt some reassurance.
The glass bottle is chic and looks great with it's accents of rose gold, it appeals to me big time. With an acrylic clear lid and white dispenser pump which works a treat.
Formula wise aside from the colour it is a brilliant foundation and will be excellent for those who suffer from dry skin, I personally have combination skin and it played nicely on my face without sinking into the pores or transferring off my face. It creates a soft inner light glow with a light nod to the pink undertone which just looks a little dark on my skin, it isn't a great big deal but I notice it which puts me off using the rest of it. Keeping it though so I can mix it with lighter shades as it wears so well.
My skin is naturally oily and it doesnt need much for it to be super shiny during the day. My skin is also acne ridden therefore I need a foundation that is full coverage to hid my pimples and my scars.
Sadly this foundation doesnt give me the full coverage I need for my skin needs. I need at least 2 layers of foundation to have my desired coverage and it makes shiny very quickly. By lunchtime my face has the look of dripping with oil and it not very great for your confidence.
I've used this foundation with a few primers and not even a primer would help combat the oily and shiny effect that this foundation has on my skin.
I do however find if I use this foundation for a few hours then it does it job for me. My go to foundation is Double wear but this is quite pricey so when I only need foundation for a few hours I will grab this foundation. This is definitely not a long wearing foundation either because I cant wear this foundation on a hot and humid day because it will melt right off my face.
This foundation just doesnt work for my oily skin for an entire days worth of wear but for a quick foundation its no problem therefore I would have to rate this foundation as average for my skin type.
I have been gifted this foundation but as it doesnt suit my skin I will not be purchasing this foundation.
Tips: If your skin is acne ridden this might not be the correct foundation formula for you.
I've always had dry skin and I have always been on the search for luminous, hydrating foundations. They always felt great on my skin, plus theoretically hydrating base + dry skin = match made in heaven, right? Wrong, well, it was in my case!
This foundation had a very, very sheer coverage and never sat right on my skin. It always looked splotchy and uneven, on top of my already splotchy uneven skin tone that was showing through due to the lack of coverage, lol. I tried it with/without primer, mixing it with other foundations, using a powder etc, still nada! Even without the application issues, it never seemed very luminous on my skin either.
I've since come to find that even though I have dry skin, foundations aimed at normal/oily skin sit a lot better on me, so it probably has something to do with my weird skin as to why this foundation didn't work for me, as most dry skinned folk seem to love it. As with any foundation, there's the risk it may not work for you so this one has now been passed on to a friend :)
I had used Loreal in the past, so thought i would try this product out as a 'full cover' foundation. Unfortunatley I can not use this foundation. I am usure if the ingrediants have changed, or the formula is different, but my face started burning 5 minutes after applying. I was so upset, and after washing it off i was left with a yuck rash under my eyes, and on my forehead. So i will not use this product, or any other loreal foundation again, for this reason. Even if i colour match on my hand, i end up with a huge rash and burning. so a little dissapointed.
Tips: Do a patch test, just incase you are sensitive like me :(
I have acne prone skin so I wanted something to cover that and I tried this and it is pretty good. It helps take some of the redness but I do find that even 2 layers wasn't always enough for some of the pesky pimples. So if you are looking for acne coverage you might want something a little more full coverage. Also, throughout the day my t-zone can get oily and this would sometimes make it look even more oily due to the dewy complexion it is supposed to give. I found that if I set it really well with a good setting powder it would last better but i still at some point would end up looking oily. So if you have oily or acne prone skin this foundation may not be the best for you.
