Before I found my Moroccan Oil I tried L'Oreal ELVIVE Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum and was satisfied enough with the results. At the time my hair was very dry and colour damaged so the frizzy bits were very evident. I used this to smooth out fly aways and any other frizzy bits that wouldn't behave themselves. It worked until the serum dried then they frizzed out again. I did however, find that my hair felt soft after using it for about a week so the moisture it got in my hair was great hence the average scoring, Would I get it again? Probably not but if I was stuck for an anti-frizz serum in the middle of no shops then I would definitely use it.

Tips: Good to get some moisture in to your hair
This is a average hair product . It tames your hair and reduces the fizz but I have used much better products . Didn't make the most difference to my hair .
Yes it does make your hair soft, but only appearing so. This stuff is covers your hair in silicons and has little to no nourishing ingredients for your hair.
But if you're just looking for something that will make your hair appear smoother then this product works fine.
Until trying this out I had not believed in the idea that different products are for different hair types, don't be like me and think otherwise because it very much makes a difference. I had a bad experience with this product making my hair incredibly greasy but as I have seen my friends use it on theirs and I learned a very important lesson about the type of product you use being very dependent on your hair type. No matter how little I used I could not seem to find a balance that would improve the condition of my hair without flattening it to my head. After a visit to the hairdresser I asked about what I was doing wrong and she set me right about my hair type. My hair is dry and frizzy but the problem is that it was also too thin to stand up to the weight of this product, my friends with thicker stronger hair had much more success with it so have passed my bottle to them to use. If you have thin weak hair like me I would avoid heavy oils like Argan, while it will (and did) make your hair incredibly soft you may end up with it making your hair flat.
Tips: In my case it wasn't the products fault as I did get lovely soft hair that calmed down, it just did so too much. I'd advise leaving this one for your thicker haired friends and try a leave in conditioner instead.
Sprayed a little in my hair it smoothed the "fly aways" temporarily until I went outside where the humidity was quite high and up popped the "fly aways". It is an average product that semi delivers on what it states it will do.
I've got long, thick hair that lately has been acting very frizzy and quite unruly. I've been trying all kinds of oil treatments in a desperate attempt to get some moisture and condition back into it, so I was pretty happy to be selected for this trial - although, I have to admit, I wasn't super excited because I wasn't expecting big results from a cheap retail product. Firstly I tried it on dry hair, more precisely, my flyaways. It kind of left some overly shiny patches and I had to wash my hands twice with dishwashing liquid to try to get the residue oil off.. we really weren't off to a flying start with this product. Next I used it on damp hair, towel dried straight out of the shower. I put about 6 pumps total through my hair (its about waist length and thick), not really knowing what to expect I just let it dry naturally. All I can say is despite my initial reservations about the product - using it on damp hair is amazeballs! My hair feels silky, its not frizzy at all, my flyaways are a bit more tame.. generally VERY impressed!
I'd totallystay away from applying to dry hair, except as a leave in hair treatment. Its super shiny and tends to look patchy.
Tips: Put a heavy amount on extra dry areas and leave in overnight as a hair treatment. Your hair will love you for it!
I like this product. It's affordable and helps my hair from looking dull and lifeless. Though, I feel like it doesn't tame my frizz at all. It also feels extremely oily if i apply it on my dry hair. I prefer to add it onto my hair when it's still wet for the best effect. Not the best product for hair serum but It's still pretty decent.
Tips: Apply to wet hair after washing. Leave in for 10mins then blowdry for the best effect.
I was excited with trialling this product as I had just had a haircut to the shortest I've had in years and I tend to get random fly aways and frizzy bits, but after trialling it, I kind of wished I have more hair to do so!
The scent of Elvive's Anti-Frizz serum is really lovely and the packaging is also dynamic and eye-catching.
The pump for the serum is definitely handy, but personally for my hair length at the moment, one pump is way too much. Spreading the oil over both hands help even the distribution throughout my hair evenly but I still get some patches that are more oily/shiny than others so it takes a little time to get the spread right. It smooths my hair but I have found it makes my scalp too oily and I have to wash hair more frequently as I actually ended up with some dandruff, which I normally don't get.
Would be interested to use this while I have longer hair to see how well it works!
Tips: Watch the amount you use, especially for short hair.
What a great little serum - it has a really great smell and despite making your hands feel oily it doesn't have this affect on your hair. Makes your hair look glossy and feel nice and does tame a majority of the frizz. The packaging is great although I didn't find much instruction on how to use the product. Also a little lid on the bottle would be handy as sometimes I forget to switch the bottle off. It worked great on both wet and dry hair.
Tips: A little goes a long way
This is better than other supermarket argan oil versions I have tried, but it's not that great for my hair. It is still a tad prone to making my hair look greasy. It is smooth, siliconey in texture and has a nice scent, but it doesn't make my hair feel that great compared to my slightly more expensive oils/serums. Quite runny in consistency and I like the pump dispenser but that's about all.
