This is amazing. Now my eyebrows are very thick so using this makes my eyebrows look very very condensed. I do however find this a good mascara, comes off easily although does make more of a mess

It is a good product it holds my brows in place and has a nice texture not sticky or anything like that. However the one I did order I got and it was a bit darker than medium but it’s no problem as long as you don’t mind your brows being a wee bit darker
I was lucky enough to pick this from the Beauty Vault and I'm so glad I did!
The packaging is plain, simple but effective. It looks like a mascara tube but isn't identical to any of my mascara's so I don't get it mixed up! It comes with a tiny conical wand which is the perfect size and shape for being precise but also getting the job done in a few swipes.
A quick swatch on my hand left me terrified - the light tint of colour looked the perfect match however there was shimmer everywhere!! Although slightly worried about having disco eyebrows I tried it on the next morning and it was just what I was after, the shimmer doesn't come off on the brows at all - thank goodness!!
I found the product easy to apply and very forgiving. Being only a tinted product its more a sheer wash of colour so you can fix any mistakes easily with a quick wipe of a finger. The colour blonde seems to be a perfect match for me and it held my brows in place without making them look or feel crunchy and uncomfortable.
This is the perfect product to whip through your brows in the morning as part of a natural makeup routine to make them look a little more groomed but if I'm wearing full face makeup I prefer to do my brows with powder/pencil and then use this over top to set them as it doesn't give enough colour/fullness on its own for 'done' brows in my opinion.
The fibres in this product I think are a bit of a gimmick, I can see them on the wand but I really don't notice a difference in the fullness of my brows. I also am not quite sure why the product is so shimmery on the hand but it doesn't transfer to the brow hairs so I'm not too worried..
Overall this is a really great product for someone like me who wears no makeup or very light makeup on a daily basis and wants something they can run through their brows in 2 seconds to make them look groomed, tidy and stay that way through the day.
Tips: For a 'no-makeup' look brush this through brows by itself but for a full face of makeup layer with powder/pencil first them brush this through overtop
I really wanted to love this I was determined this would be my new big thing for my eyebrows.
I had overplucked my eyebrows at highschool much to my mum’s horror and they never recovered. I have tried all sorts of things pencils, gels, powders but because I’m quite fair and my eyebrows are quite a weird shade of dark blonde light blonde a lot of things tend to look really overdone on me so when this au natural brow gel popped up – jackpot !.
This came in a mascara shaped tube with a spoolie at the end. I prepped my brows by running a eyebrow brush over them just to pull them in line and thought I would try this on its own first. I did a sneaky swatch on my hand because I just needed to see the colour in a hurry haha – I did get a fright and was a bit scared to put this on my brows it was a goldy based light brown/blonde but it looked like it had shimmer so I was quite worried I was going to look ridiculous with shiny disco eyebrows.
However this was a different story when applied directly to my eyebrows. It was really easy to just quickly run over your eyebrows and the colour was actually perfect for me. No sign of the disco shimmer and it did dry to a matte finish so this was perfect. The only real issue I had was the fact that due to my over plucking I have incredibly thin eyebrows so the spoolie that came with this wasn’t really ideal for me. I decided to use my own smaller spoolie which worked much better for me. It’s a much more natural look than how I usually would do my brows but I loved it a fresh groomed look without looking to made up.
I did also try this over my usual routine of using the billion dollar brow pencil and this just gave it some extra oomph and a really nice finish.
It didn’t rub off over the day or smear or run, it held on until I removed it at night before I went to bed and removed easily with my ZA oil cleanser.
For $20.00 I will definitely be buying this again.
Tips: You might need a smaller spoolie if you have overplucked brows like myself
I was lucky enough to be able to pick this up in the latest BR Vault! I had previously been using the Benefit Gimme Brow but it was coming to the end of its life so I thought it would be a perfect time to pick this up. I got the shade Light/Medium which is great on my blonde eyebrows.
The packaging is pretty simple. You would be forgiven for thinking that it was mascara tube really. The tube part is black with gold writing on it, and the lid is a light bronzey shade - I think it relates to the shade but I haven't seen any other tubes of this. The brush is similar to a mascara brush. Coming from using the Benefit Gimme Brow it is honestly a wee bit too big. I find that I'm constantly getting colour around my brows as the brush is too big to just get it accurately on my brows. But maybe if I hadn't tried that first it might not concern me that I have to do a wee bit extra work. I must say though unlike the Gimme Brow this brush doesn't pick up too much product, so I don't have to wipe off the extra constantly which is great.
The product itself is quite a light gel consistency. It coats the eyebrow hairs really nicely and is easy to use. I just start at the inside side of the brow (closest to the nose) and work the product through to the end. I do this so that most of the product gets put at the start so my brows look thicker there. If you do end up using too much product I just use my separate spoolie brush to brush it through or use my fingers to clean up around the edges. This does set your brows quite hard, but I don't mind that as it isn't a common occurrence for people to be feeling up my brows so no one but me (and you) will ever know. It also removes very easily during my usual cleansing routine.
I love this for a natural easy look. It is fantastic for getting colour on and setting your brows all at once. As it even picks up on smaller hairs I love that it can make my brows look much fuller, although in all honesty it doesn't take much as they are so blonde. I think I would recommend this over the Benefit Gimme Brow, mainly from a price point of view as they both do an extremely similar thing.
I received this as part of The Incredible Eyes Beauty Box. I had previously been using a brow pencil to fill out my brows, but when that ran out I thought I would give this a try.
This is like a mascara for your brows. The container is the size and shape of a mascara tube, and the applicator is a short little spoolie. The little spoolie makes it easy to apply the product to your brows, and gives them a natural finish as you can use it to comb the gel through them. The liquid nature of the product helps to set the hairs in place as well.
The only faults I found with this is that it is easy to apply a bit too much product, as the spoolie seems to gather a lot of product from the tube, so it is easy to end up with a lot of gel right at the front of your brows.
The colour of this is also a bit more yellow than I would like. My eyebrows are a light brown, so they are darker than my hair. This is labelled as a Light/Medium colour, but is more just light and tends toward blonde than the brown.
Tips: Easy to remove with makeup remover or micellar water.
For someone like me, who already has her eyebrows on her face when they wake up in the morning, this is a great little tool to have! I have medium to fair skin with medium brown eyebrows. I'm not into the super thick block square looking eyebrows, prefer it to be more natural (I still pluck eyebrows vs wax) this product just makes it look more full and a little darker to match my dyed hair colour.
So easy to use! My go to product for when I want defined brows fast, without the hassle of a pencil or pomade. Love the little spoolie so I can just brush it through and I'm good to go. Have also found the formula to be great and doesn't leave any clumps.
Tips: Use sparingly
Let me start off by saying that my go-t brow definer is the gimmebrow from benefit. So seeing a affordble option on th shelf got me all excited. However, though its a great product i did find some drawbacks. For starters i found the Maybelline Brow Drama’s brush far too big, and the shape was kind of average at filling in the brows. The mascara wand like shape of the brush makes application difficult for girls with thin brows because if you're anything like me, you will accidentally smudge your skin, and boy does this product have staying power. As the tip of the brush is quite big and rounded, it’s easy to make mistakes especially if your brows are very thin at the ends. But while the brush isn't the greatest, the formula is superb. It tames my more rebellious brow hairs, keeps them in place and definitely pumps up the volume! Overall i'd say its a great investment if you have thick brows, but for my thin browed girls find a smaller spoolie to use with this great product.
Tips: for my thin browed girls find a smaller spoolie to use for an easier application.
I bought this because Shaanxo raves about it and I thought I would give it a crack. I find it does go on slightly wet and then sets. It's really important to wipe the excess off on the tube before using this product. It's a bit ashy in tone which doesn't really suit me. The bonus is that if you muck it up you just brush it out with a spoolie and start again. There's nothing wrong with this product but I won't buy it again. Not for me.
Tips: To set your eyebrows, use a powder or pencil then spray a spookiest with hairspray, works a treat.
