High hopes but just like my past relationships it didn't work out. I hated the smell and the consistency, it left my hair feeling as if I just put cooking into it. might work out for others. But my hair and the L'Oreal Extraordinary hair Oil Product are no longer together.

I have thick frizzy hair at times and purchased this product to combat the frizz. This was going to be a cheaper alternative to buying moroccan oil. Unfortunately this product when it dried made my hair frizzer. I spoke to hairdressers about this and they said that it was water based. I do not know how correct this is but it definitely did not help me with fly aways and frizz. I think my hair was too thick and dry for this product.
I seen this advertised in a magazine and thought I had to have it!! I purchased this from the supermarket for $20 with high expectations for this great sounding multi-use product but was left feeling disappointed. Firstly I am not keen on the scent, it reminds me of a nit treatment smell so this really bugged me when I had it in my hair. Secondly I find that it is quite 'heavy' in my hair, leaving my hair looking quite slick and oily rather than shiny. Also don't believe that it delivers on it's description to deeply condition the hair either. This is a real shame as I usually love L'Oreal products. What I do like is the sleek glass bottle and easy to use pump dispenser, and if I did like this product then it would last such a long time, being a big 100ml bottle and only needing the tiniest amount
Tips: Only use a very tiny amount as this quite a thick and heavy oil
Didn't like this , a cheap product that gave no results personally. I tend to stay away for cheaper hair oil but this was new at the supermarket, so why not haha. I won't waste my money again.
I love the elvive shampoo and conditioner range so thought I would try this, I have straight hair but I have always struggled with frizz and fly always especially at the top of my hair and scalp. This was a nice hair oil but it didn’t help with my fly aways frizz at all to be honest. It had quite a silicon feel, it doesn’t really feel like an oil and kind of just sat on my hair. I wouldn’t re purchase this again, there are definitely better hair oils on the market
I was really excited to trial this product, as I have long and quite fine hair that gets really dry and split at the ends, especially in summer! I haven't really used many hair oil treatments before - I usually stick to leave in hair masks/conditioning treatments - so this is kind of a first for me.
I had pretty high expectations for this product because I've heard lots of rave reviews about hair oil treatments lately, and I must say that I was a little disappointed over all with this one.
The positives: it smells really nice and the scent isn't too overwhelming - just subtle which is nice! It also isn't too oily - it's much drier on my hands after using than I thought it would be so the lack of an oily residue after using it is good too.
The not-so-positives: it initially feels like it's really moisturising and that's great, but I find that by the end of the day my hair is back to feeling dry and I don't feel like it's really made much of a difference. After using it for several days straight, too, I'm not really noticing much of a difference to the overall look, feel or condition of my hair and I did expect to by now. In contrast, I've been using a leave in hair mask lately that I've been using in the same way, and that leaves my hair feeling really soft and nice all day!
This product says that there's three ways to use it: before washing your hair, before styling and after styling. I only really have time in my usual routine for before-styling hair treatments (who has time for all 3!) so this is how I used it - I'm interested to see if any of the other reviewers used it in a different way and saw different results!
Tips: If you have long hair I found it's easiest to section your hair into 2 or 3 and while it's damp use a couple of pumps in each section on the ends. For shorter hair 2-3 pumps should be enough to do all of it.
this product has a very nice scent, i purchased it to try and tame some frizziness that i have after bleaching my hair to blonde, but it didn't really do much for that
If I'm perfectly honest, this product isn't my favourite simply because it leaves my hair feeling quite brittle when dry. It feels and smells nice when applying it onto damp hair but it leaves my hair ends looking frazzled and unhealthy once my hair dries. I think that simple pure argan oil is the way to go when it comes to hair oils. However, the scent of this product is nice and the price is very reasonable, so for those reasons I believe it deserves a few stars.
so...like the title says, I really do love the smell of this product, but I have to use it super super sparingly or it leaves my hair looking lank and greasy. I have tried just putting it on my ends, which are a bit more damaged but even then they look a bit gross. On the plus side, this means it has lasted me a loooong time! The best way I have found to use it for my hair is to rub it between my palms, and lightly swipe over flyaways around my face. I then run my hands through my hair starting from underneath, so the bottom is silky and smells great without the top layers looking greasy.
I don't usually hate something so much but I really do not like this. I loathe the scent it almost makes me gag, I don't know why though cause when I read below most people love it. Not a fan
