I was really excited when I was selected to trial this shampoo. I have colored my hair for many years, used various products and none of it can compare to the results I get from this shampoo. It's done exactly what it says and the feedback I get from my colleagues and friends are fantastic! My hair is shinier and has more body, my colour looks more radiant. I also love the softness of my hair when I use this shampoo. As I have curly hair, my hair feels silky when I wash it and is so manageable. I think I found my new life-long friend. Only downer of the shampoo is that it causes my hair to be very static. Not sure if anyone else had this problem. But other than that, great product, highly recommended and well within my budget!

Tips: Best used with partnering conditioner. Match made in heaven.
I was really excited to review this product, but unfortunately after testing it for the last couple of weeks I'm not a big fan. For me the shampoo did not make a very noticeable different on the 5 areas it was supposed to. The price is fair on the shampoo. The smell was fine, but nothing scrumptious like some shampoos can be, just a normal cosmetic type smell. The consistency was nice and thick. In conclusion, my hair doesn't feel any different to before the trial started. Really appreciated the chance to trial this, and will finish the bottles as it definitely hasn't made my hair worse!
Tips: Perhaps buy it on special if you are wanting to try it incase it doesn't work for you either?
My hair is damaged from the years of dying away my greys. This lovely shampoo did not weigh my hair down and left it feeling squeaky clean and shiny.
I love hair products with Keratin in them as it definitely does help to repair your hair.
The 250ml bottle is a great size and will definitely last you a number of decent shampoos. There is a lovely fragrance that is not overpowering.
I would definitely recommend this product to anybody with damaged hair to try.
Tips: Don't forget to shampoo twice. Once to get the build up of products off and the second time to cleanse :)
I have used the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo for the last 3 weeks & can't say i noticed any difference in my hair. My hair tends to get very dry & splits & i was hoping that this shampoo would help it to feel softer & look healthier but it didn't. If anything i would say my hair became slightly more frizzy & i needed more styling products to keep it looking smooth & shiny. One positive was that i loved the smell of this product....yum! The feel of the shampoo was also good & my hair felt great while it was damp. I can't say that i would agree with any of the restoring factors promised in the write up of this product.
I wasn't really expecting too much from this product, I thought it would be just like all the others and not really do much but I was surprised and pleased when it actually did what it said it would. When used in conjunction with the conditioner and after wash repair cream it really smoothed out my hair. My hair tends to be dry and brittle and frizz easily but this product has smoothed it out a lot. Another thing this product has done is make my hair manageable when it's wet, up until now I had to struggle to brush it out after a shower.
Tips: I recommend using the shampoo, conditioner and the repair cream for great results.
My gosh, my hair has not been so silky and smooth in such a long time! Everyone has been commenting on how healthy and shiny it looks and it's definitely helped my split ends. :)
First with the positives about this product. I think the smell is gorgeous. It kind of reminded me of freesias or a floral perfume. The packaging is simple and classy, which I like. I did like the consistency of the product and found it worked into a nice lather without being over sudsy. I do think it has made my hair fuller and stronger but it has lost it's shine. Even though I have rinsed and rinsed my hair after using the shampoo it feels like a chalky kind or residue is left behind. As a result my hair feels a bit strange and looks a little dull. I think I will go back to my regular shampoo when this runs out.
Tips: Much better when combined with the shampoo and 60 second Miricale treatment. Also only put on the scalp and not the roots of your hair, otherwise it can be too drying.
I have tried some L'Oreal hair products before but never this particular one. As I dye my hair often I find it needs a lot of nourishment. Most shampoos leave my hair feeling like straw and knotty when it is wet. I found this shampoo made my hair feel smoother after the first wash. The scent and texture of the shampoos I found was smooth and silky, not too runny or too thick. I guess I would have to say it was perfect :). When combined with the conditioner it did make my hair feel fuller with a nice bounce. I have naturally curly hair and this made my curls a nice shape. sounds weird but when you have really curly hair a nice curl is important.
Tips: Depending on how many shampoos you normally do I would suggest you do the same.
Enjoyed using this shampoo, it had a good consistency and felt quite rich. The fragrance is nice as well, a sweet smell but not florally which I'm not keen on. As I've got long hair I use a fair dollop which produces a good lather that rinses out easily. Price wise it's very similar to my current shampoo (Dove) and I think that it is good value for money. What I did love about this from a packaging point of view was the flat lid which means when you get close to the bottom, you can turn it upside down and it will sit firmly on the shelf in the shower instead of having to prop it against something! Results wise I think it did help with my hair, the ends don't seem as dry as they were previously anyway which is always a plus! I've been using it most days and it seems to be okay, not too rich which means my hair doesn't get all flat and weighed down. I would say that it is a good shampoo but wouldn't rave about it to the point that I would say friends "must get it!"
Tips: I already had the Intensive conditioner in this range and I did find that using the same brand shampoo improved the results from that.
My hair? Curly, dry, frizzy, coarse and rebellious if just left to it own devices and I really need a shampoo and conditioner that softens the coarse, smooths out the frizz and leaves my hair healthy and shiny. Did Total Repair do that for me?
Firstly for only $9 I'm pretty happy with 250ml in a bottle and feel that is real value for money. Upon receiving this goodie the first test it needed to pass was the smell test. Oh my stars what an amazing smelling shampoo! Let me just say as a side note that I washed my hair one night and went to work without perfume and people told me I smelt amazing. They were smelling my hair :)
Usage of the shampoo I must admit I didnt quite enjoy and using it consistently for 4 weeks didnt change my mind I'm afraid.
Firstly after wetting my hair and applying a full palm full of the shampoo, the shampoo didnt latther up. Then another palm full and not much lather action. Then a third round and finally the magic happened and the shampoo lathered and it felt as if it was deep cleaning my hair. My hair with just shampoo applied was quite stringy, knotted and matted and I was not pleased by the feel of my hair. It wasnt soft and smooth as I'm use to so I definitely could never use this shampoo on its own without conditioner.
5 promises. Restored? No, its still dry. Stronger? I must admit I havent had much hair breakage or loss in the shower so my hair feels abit stronger. Vitality? No. Silky to the touch? Not by only using the shampoo. Healthy shine? Not by only using the shampoo.
This shampoo was not the worst shampoo I have used but its definitely not a shampoo that is a stand alone winner to me. I need me some conditioner! Would I purchase this again? Probably not. My WEN is still standing strong.
Tips: If you have really dry and coarse hair then using the shampoo alone wont provide much benefits in my opinion. You need the accompanying conditioner
