L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo

My hair is mid lenth, fine and dry and can be quite frizzy. It's damaged from salon colouring as I go lighter. This product claims to leave hair 1: feeling stronger - after two weeks I have noticed a slight improvement in the strength of my hair. It's not as brittle as it was and I'm noticing less breakage 2: looking fuller - haven't noticed my hair looking fuller however it seems more healthier so it's more sleek and dosnt boof out like it did before, which is good 3: looking revitalised - my hair does look more healthier then before, even after straightening and blow drying 4: silkier to touch - as my hair is feeling healthier it is smoother and does feel softer and smoother 5: with a healthier shine - my hair was very damaged but I am noticing some life coming back to my hair, and a slight shine This shampoo had a nice fragrance that wasn't over powering, foams up well and a little goes a long way. I think for a supermarket shampoo this is a good product with an also very good price tag which I will probably buy again.

My hair is a lot damaged. It's very thick. Oily. I use straighteners. I heat curl it. It has gone from black to blonde (over a period of time but still damaging none the less) I have major split ends. All in all, my hair is tragic.

I didn't have high hopes for this product to work as I have tried a lot of shampoos ranging from very cheap, to extremely expensive and my hair is still damaged. (I take full responsibility for that) Because my hair is thick and oily, I wash it 2-3 times a week (as suggested by my hairdresser). I continued the same routine as I would my usual shampoo so that I could compare.

The shampoo smells great! It had a silky consistency. I used about a $1 coin size blob. I usually wash my hair a couple times in the shower . It didn't lather up as much as I expected (have been told that's usually a good thing as it means there's not a lot of soap or drying ingredients to further damage the hair). After the second wash I still didn't feel as if my hair had been washed so I washed it a third time.

Honestly I didn't notice much of a difference in my hair after using this shampoo for 3weeks. Maybe I need to use it for a bit longer? I felt my hair was very dry after using it also which I didn't like. It's probably fine for normal-damaged hair as an everyday shampoo. But personally I don't think it did what it said it would do. But that could be because I use heat on my hair twice a week which causes major damage anyway. So maybe my lifestyle is the reason I feel it didn't work.

I saw the price at the supermarket and I think it's a good, well priced shampoo, but doesn't quite do what it says it will. Sadly :(

Overall this was a pretty decent shampoo. Out of the 5 problems it claimed to fix it did the job for two of them, my hair was left looking more full and a lot more silkier. But in terms of damage repair and protection i feel that my hair has gotten more split ends and more damage than what I get with my regular shampoo. Over the few weeks i used this and L'Orea conditioner together my hair started looking very dry and brittle so I did stop using them (i think that it may have been the conditioner that wasn't very good). Overall i think that it is a good shampoo and definitely does it's job of cleaning your hair.

Lovely product definitely works wonders for my hair :) helped with damages and made my hair nicer and fuller also has a nice smell to it only thing I didn't like is that it made my scalp itchy

I'm very particular when it comes to my haircare because I have quite frizzy curls. This shampoo has the distinct hairdresser scent and lathers to a nice foam. It did a great job at removing my dandruff. However, I miss the fruity scent of other shampoos. It does do 3.5 out of 5. It felt stronger and looked voluminous, and was shinier.

I have trialled this shampoo in combination with the condition for 3 weeks. I must add that I only wash my hair every 5-6 days so I am talking 4 washes in total. I have had some concerns about the condition of my hair recently so jumped at the chance to trial this product. It smells nice and the shampoo lathers up really well. My hair did feel soft after rinsing all the product out. However, any longterm improvement appears to have eluded my hair.While it is no worse there appears to be little noticeable improvements in either hair strength, fullness or condition. I am assuming this may come with longer term use so am happy to contiue to finish the bottle

I have a busy lifestyle being a mother of 4 and working so i needed a product that would help me with damaged hair. I Found when i first used this product it had a nice creamy texture and it cleaned away my daily impurities and gave me extra shine and my hair felt soft but in the end was not as i expected didn't get that desired result , while my hair felt clean and looked shiny it became very knotty and hard to manage , felt this product could not be used without the total repair restoring conditioner

I look the packaging and that it is easy to use and smells great. My hair felt shiny and soft after using it for a few weeks. The bottle seems to last for ages as you don't need to use much product.

I will say this product is only alright - good if your usual product is not available. It did not perform as well as my salon products in that it feels a bit like a gel and does not feel like it gets into my hair to clean it enough.

I have dyed blonde, hair which naturally curls after washing with good products. Unfortunately this wasn't the case with the L'Oreal Total Repair shampoo, my hair just fluffed a bit, but didn't curl.

I also felt rather greasy/ unclean still afterwards which was frustrating.
