L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo

I am a bit picky when it comes to the Shampoos and Conditioners I like therefore I didn't have high hopes for this considering the low price tag. Unfortunately unlike the conditioner I wasn't amazed by this product.

First of all I loooove the scent of this range. It smells like a lovely expensive floral perfume and adore the smell it leaves lingering in my hair (the lingering scent doesn't last long, but, is lovely for the time it is there). The packaging is pretty standard but very functional and easy to get the product out of. One problem I have is the similarity of the conditioner and shampoo bottles, if your a ditz like me it can be easy to confuse the too haha.

This Shampoo lathers very easily so you don't need much at all. It doesn't leave my hair feeling totally stripped, but, doesn't leave it feeling hydrated, silkier, revitalized or any of the things it claims it will do. I do feel it cleans my scalp and hair well but is not nourishing like it sounds like it will be.

I wouldn't repurchase this again which is disappointing as I did like the matching conditioner and together they produce nice results but alone this shampoo isn't a favourite for me.

I wanted to give this shampoo a fair trial as in try it for a few weeks before reviewing but after using it twice i simply can't bring myself to again.

First of all the bottle is nice to look at and the formula is nice and smooth and smells delicious! My hair smelt delicious the whole time until I had to wash it again.

However, For some reason for my hair this shampoo did the opposite to what it said it would. It felt like straw and my hair was very dry and stripped of all oils and shine. I was very upset and almost wanted to wash my hair with another product.

Now before you feel against this please note my hair is very chemically damaged from dying it for the last 6 Years so what didn't work for me May work for someone else.

Such a shame this shampoo wasn't for me as my hair smelt absoloutely Yum!

I have really enjoyed using this product so far. I usually stick to Shampoo & Conditioner for coloured hair. This has proven to be a great way to give me heavy hair with dandruff flakes everywhere. With L'Oreal, I did not feel weighed down, no presenting dandruff and my hair felt amazing right from the first wash. The shampoo, I found to be very effective at cleaning my hair and making it feel fresh and properly cleansed. I didn't notice any colour washing down the drain like I have with other shampoos that have not been designed specifically for coloured hair. I just wish I had been chosen for the trail for the conditioning treatment too, I like continuity of hair care systems. Might just have to go purchase step 3!

Bonus - The smell is incredible!

This is my current go to product. I love everything about this shampoo it smells great and leaves my hair fresh and clean while also being soft and totally nourished.

I have a tendancy to lean towards this brand and the packaging of this product appealed to me and appeared convincing, however i feel that this shampoo is false advertising! Hair care products need to stop claiming that they are capable of repairing split ends, i have yet to try one that actually is.

I can't figure out why but damaged hair is a problem for me, it gets dry, oily, frizzy, brittle and splits, i need something that works and this product doesn't! It cleans the hair just fine and has a nice smell but so does every other shampoo..

Although this shampoo didn't to anything wrong to my hair it did nothing good either. I was quite disappointed and this shampoo has slightly put me off this brand as i found it actually useless in improving damage.

The shampoo did what it said it would. Stronger, fuller, shinier, healthier hair. For a supermarket shampoo, it's top class! Made my thick, long hair easier to manage. Would use again!

I did not have a great experience with this shampoo like i would have hoped. It smells so delicious but itmleft my hair feeling dry and stringy, and my hair still went all fuzzy. Feeling a bit let down.

Absolutely loved this shampoo! I've been looking for a shampoo that would make my dry unruly hair as soft as possible and I think this may just be the product! Not only did it make my hair soft, it also made it look shiny and healthy while lathering up really well.

A lovely bottle that says buy me, reads well full of good things that restore and make your hair fuller shiner helps brittle ends, so I was quite excited to try this shampoo, smells so yummy. It lathered up a treat but I could tell that it irritated my scalp and my hair didn't like it, so no intense repairing for my hair it actually felt like I needed to wash my hair after I had used it, I did try it a couple of times and got the same result. So not for me but another one for my girlfriend.

I really didn't like this shampoo, I felt that it didn't do anything to repair my hair at all, which was a bit of a disappointment. Also after washing it made my hair go greasy really quickly unlike other shampoos, so I won't be buying this again.
