This is my go to shampoo, because it smells amazing and makes you hair feel incredible. However, it does not "repair" like it says it does. Seriously girls, the only way to repair your hair is just to go get a trim every month. A shampoo definitely won't do the trick. I saw this as a normal shampoo and not a treatment - however, I do love it and I actually always have it stocked at home, only because it doesn't dry out my hair, and it really does make your hair feel amazing.

Tips: I find that girls overuse shampoo, all you need is a small dollop to fit into the middle of your palm
I decided to try the shampoo because the skin care range works well for me. The packaging is sturdy and easy to use when in the shower. The texture of the shampoo itself was similar to the texture of a condition, with a light, pleasant fragrance (which lasted when the hair was dry). The shampoo lathers up really well so a little will go a long way. It did leave a slight residue in the hair (similar to that of Pantene shampoo), but in all honesty with my hair being dry I didn't mind that. I have read the claims and feel they may be a little optimistic, but my hair felt soft and silky as it probably would have with a multitude of other shampoos. A good supermarket shampoo and certainly value for money but not really any different to the likes of Pantene and others in that price range. Would I use it again - probably, but I would not go out of my way to buy it.
I'm a big fan of Elvive. I think I may have, in fact, tried them all. As such, I think I'm qualified to make the statement that this is the least impressive of the bunch, which is disappointing because it promises the most. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good product and fantastic value for money, however it fails to live up to it's own hype.
The packaging is less alluring than other "flavours" in the range for a start. Shallow I know, but hey, I'm the one that has to look at this every evening when I take my well deserved break from the world and indulge in a ridiculously long shower, so this sort of thing counts.
I do adore the smell. It smells expensive. Almost salon-like...almost.
What it boils down to though is always going to be results and I just didn't get what I was after with this. My hair wasn't soft or frizz free and dryer afterwards than I'm used to, even after using leave in treatments. When lathering it feels as though I'm taking a bit too much from my hair. Maybe this would suit someone with oily hair but not me.
I have been using this shampoofor the last 3 months after not feeling happy with the brand I was using. My hair has felt silkier, looked shinier and felt stronger since I started using it. Although not to the same extent as the conditioner, the red plastic on the shampoo bottle does collect water which means the bottle needs to be opened and emptied before travelling with it. Otherwise the bottle is great during travel.
This shampoo matched with the conditioner was ok. I was a little unsure as while washing my hair felt very dry and brittle even after the conditioner was applied. However once my hair dryed softness, bounce and life came to my hair which supprised me. This shampoo doesnt leave your hair smelling fantastic but it was nice
Dont buy it I found the shampoo and conditioner a waste of money Its something i personally wont make again
I love this shampoo, it smell's really nice, my hair is very damaged and was falling out due to breastfeeding but after using this shampoo my hair felt a lot stronger. Felt silky smooth and really made it shine. My hair was clean and the smell stays in for a while, this is one of my favorite shampoo and conditioner range.
Tips: I use the ELVIVE Total Repair leave in conditioner to really make it shine and look and feel healthier.
This stuff is so bad it stripped my hair and made it all dry and crispy.
I had such high hopes as I have seen many beauty gurus on youtube recommend it.
The only positive is I like the smell. I would never purchase this shampoo again. My aunt bought some as well - it stripped her hair and made it dry like straw.
This is probably one of my favorite shampoos and the conditioner with it is great as well. Smells lovely, leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny, runs through my hair so smoothly. I just really love this product and I've dyed my hair heaps and this always makes it bounce back from that dry straw feeling.
Tips: Massage your head while its in your hair so it gets right down into your roots :)
I tend to prefer salon products for my hair, just because they seem to give me better results to give moisture to my dry highlighted hair.
However, I'm always keen to try to find cheaper alternatives than spending a fortune on salon products. So, I was excited to try this range.
I've had good experiences with Loreal products in the past so I was hoping this would become my new holy grail shampoo and conditioner. Total repair is exactly what I wanted for my hair!
The shampoo packaging is distinctive of loreal, it is stylish and sleek. I love the look of the white and red together and looks great in my bathroom. I think for a supermarket product this looks high end.
The formula is a normal consistency and lathers up well. It seems to clean my hair well and smells lovely and fresh.
However, I didn't find this shampoo to live up to its claims of total repair. Other salon products hydrate and nourish my dry hair well, but sadly my hair felt like it lacked moisture using this product.
It was definitely worth trying this, but I would not repurchase in the future, as this product was not effective for my hair.
