L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age SPF15 Day Cream Review

This was my least favorite product of the three. I really couldn't get past the colour. It is very pink with a subtle fragrance. I have Rosacea so was reluctant to use a product that added colour to my face. Once applied and absorbed it was easily covered by makeup. Used in conjunction with the other products my skin is softer.

The packaging for this product is lovely! It comes in a 50ml glass pot with a golden lid, so looks quite luxurious. The cream is rich with a rosy/peach hue which I found interesting. The fragrance is quite light and non offensive. It promises to redensify & protect skin and reactivate a rosy glow.It has an SPF 15 and is specially formulated for mature and dull skin. On first application, I used it after the Serum that is also part of this range. I found it to definitely give a rosy glow to my skin but unfortunately this doesn't suit my skin type which is oily and olive toned. I did continue to use it for trial purposes, underneath primer and foundation to counteract the shine! I didn't find any benefit long term for me, but feel that it could be a favourite for more mature, dry skin types that want the rosy glow back.

Attractive packaging and a surprise on opening to find a quite rosey-pink coloured product inside. It has a nice fragrance and a nice texture that applies nice and smoothly. It is quite thick in texture but as it’s designed for more mature skin this is to be expected. I was initially a bit doubtful about the colour but it really does seem to give a “rosey” glow underneath my foundation, not sure if this is what it’s intended to do or if I just have a particularly good colour match between the two products. Left my skin feeling moisturised all day and I don’t usually have issues with oily skin and this didn’t change that. Also have to add the SPF15 is a bonus, especially at this time of the year.

Downside is the packaging is very heavy, if you travel a lot this won’t be an incentive for you. I don’t know if they do travel packs, but it would be worth them considering.

Very very moisturising, so again, it’s best used on more mature skin. A bit on the pricey side, but when you find something you like, it’s worth every cent. Undecided if I’ll re-purchase but I’ll definately consider it.

The smell and texture of this moisturiser was devine. It did do exactly what it said it would which is why I have rated that a 5/5 and it did make my skin feel nicely hydrated, easy to apply. My only comment was the colour - I felt like I was putting something unnatural on my face and it must be rubbed in otherwise you leave a little bit of pink on your face which is more my error than the products! Once applied though, it was lovely.

L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age SPF15 Day Cream has a ridiculously long name and a bizarre salmon pink colour, but it's actually a really nice moisturizer. The packaging is lovely, a rose gold square glass jar with a gold lid. It's a soft cream consistency with a dark pink colour. I was worried about applying such a pink cream to my face, but it absorbed well and didn't leave a noticable tint. I assume the pink colour is the "rosy glow" in the marketing of this product. To be honest, I have enough "rosiness" in my face naturally so I was relieved that this cream didn't add any extra pinkness. It has a very faint floral fragrance, not unpleasant at all. It has SP15, which is vital in a day cream though I usually top it with a higher SPF. It left my skin soft and not greasy and wore well under makeup.

What beautiful packaging. definitely stylish and with a sense of class reflective of us ladies with maturing skin. The cream absorbs incredibly well and was so hydrating. Over the course of the trial I do believe my skin felt firmer and which may be a secondary gain of the increased hydration. Now lets talk about the elephant in the room, the pink elephant. I found the pink/orange colour incredibly off putting. It did not blend well into my skin and upon applying I looked liked I'd just had a hot flush or an very hot shower. using less of the product did lessen it and I would say it didn't matter once my foundation went on. This was my least favourite of the three, the colour just wasn't for me.

I liked the thick creamy texture of this cream. I felt I needed to put it on a little while before applying any other product as it needed time to settle into my skin. I was surprised by the colour when I opened it - didn't expect pink!

When I first opened the lid of this product I was quite taken aback by the colour which was a rose gold colour. I was curious to see how it would be on my skin and much to surprise it didn't look anything like it did in the jar much to my relief! It seemed to adapt to my skin with a very gentle healthy looking glow. I would liken it to a BB cream.

The texture was lovely and not greasy at all with just a hint of a fragrance. I am younger than the recommended age so I was expecting it to be too rich for my combination skin but it wasn't at all.

I used this product in conjunction with the serum and it gave me an excellent base for my foundation - a very noticeable difference as my 'face' lasted right up until I washed it off at the end of the day.

I would definitely recommend this product to those 50 and over.

This has a standard style packaging with a tub & a lid but it looks more ‘up-market’ due to the graduated pinky/gold tones of the container. Oh my goodness – I opened the lid & this bright pink cream assaulted my eyeballs. This, I did not expect & did not particularly like. My Mum also exclaimed ‘Yuk!’ It is very easy to apply though & immediately my skin felt like a baby’s bottom. You apply the day cream after the serum. The day cream includes calcium & peony & iris floral extracts. The calcium is to restore the skins density & support its structure, which sounds logical. I assume the bright pink colour is to help with the rosy glow. The promised results are hydrated skin without feeling tight, feeling denser & firmer & skin tone will be fresh, healthy & more youthful. I also like the fact it contains SPF 15. Stings a little when you apply it (even over the top of the serum) but not too uncomfortable; this is probably the ‘tightening effect’. It also contains ‘glittery bits’ which I guess will be to illuminate the skin & mask any fine lines. The cream does have a bit of a pink glow when you apply & it does make your skin feel more radiant. I left it a wee while before applying my make-up & it had a nice feel to it then.
