I trialed the Chocolate Brown L'Oreal Casting Creme Glass Semi-Permanent 415 Iced Chocolate hair colour. I liked how the consistency was the right thickness, to be able to apply smoothly but not drip. It was just the right amount for my hair (my hair is really long, but thin) It claims to last 28washes. I have washed my hair approx 12times since applying and it is still going strong and the same colour, no fading yet. It had a pleasant smell and didn't give me a headache like some dyes can do with their strong smelling chemicals. Priced at $18.99 I think that is a good price and affordable for the quality of the product. Packing was good. Easy to access. I found the gloves inside the pack for applying dye a little tight to get on, but once on they were good (I have small hands) Processing time was faster then most hair dyes I have previously used which I appreciate as I have two young kids to look after and being able to get it done faster is great. The conditioner that came inside the box was great! Most dyes give you a tiny conditioner sample and it is just enough for one wash. This one was enough for two washes, maybe three if you had short hair and smelled lovely. Made my hair feel really soft. I would recommend it do a friend as I found the colour lovely and refreshing and has so far done what it claims to on its box. Thanks Beauty Review for the opportunity to trial it =)

Loved this product!! My hair was super soft and shiny after using it. Was very easy to use and no fuss to clean up. I am looking forward to using the copper in the winter!
Tips: I would probably use 2 packs as my hair is quite long but other than that was easy to use.
I am trialing this in the colour "100 licorice" my hair type is dry to ever so slightly damaged :) Heres what i thought...
Mixing was easy, just a two-step process with a bit of bottle shaking involved; then it was time to put nozzle to root. Despite being perched on the corner of my white linen table the drip-free formula stayed true to its word and with the product not containing ammonia, not only was it less damaging to my scalp and lengths, it also meant there were no funky smells going on. Colorant slicked on, looking like Stephen Segal, 20 minutes passed and it was time to rinse it out and use what is probably one of the best conditioners I’ve ever tried – the Shine Enhancing Conditioner. This step loads up the locks with gloss and serious shine and boy did it do just that. After blowdrying things were sleek, soft and subtly enhanced colour-wise - I like.
I actually really like this product- simple to used easy instructions no harsh chemicals and a beautiful colour at the end
This scores a 9-10 for me
My colour of choice was black cherry. (As I usually go for a red shade when dying my hair) the package arrived and the first thing I noticed was the funky shape, bright pictures and massive amounts of info on the box. Very appealing. After opening it up it had the standard colour, dye, conditioner as with most hair dyes. The conditioner was bigger then what I'm used to but I love dye conditioner so no complaints there. Mixing was easy as with other hair dyes. Also about the same for me with application. It covered my medium length hair well and to be honest it actually smelt better then other hair dyes. Usually I'm choking but this was ok. When washing it off it took me about 5-10 minutes to make sure it was all out. The conditioner felt really nice. For some reason when I dye my hair I feel it go kinda hard when I wash it out but this one didn't do that. The result was slightly darker then I'm used to but I did choose "dark cherry" it was soft and shiny and looked great in the sun. Overall great product, especially love the no ammonia. Price tag is more expensive compared to the brands I usually use but It is worth it if looking for a non-permanent hair colour. Very happy with the result. Would recommend it.
Tips: To keep the colour lasting longer use a dry shampoo in between washes.
I actually really loved this product. Although ipicked the wrong colour which did not show in full effect on my natural hair the resuts were still great. It did not drip, was easy to apply and there was a good amount of product in the bottle. After washing and drying i straightened my hair and it was the healthiest it has looked for a longtime. I had a natural glossy shine and it felt so soft. It looked just like the packaging. I also really liked the conditioner that came with the product. Smelt divine. would recommend, just make sure you pick the right color.:)
Tips: If you have naturally dark hair, pick a dark shade for a shiny healthy look :)
I recently tried this product in the shade 1021: Very Light Pearl Blonde. It's the lightest shade in the range and is a permanent colour. It's important to note that while the majority of shades in this range are semi-permanent, the three top light blonde colours are permanent! However this was perfect for me and just what I was looking for as my hair is already bleached blonde so I wanted a product that would cover my natural brown root re-growth and blend well with my previous colour (also an at-home job). While I was worried that the shade might be too light for me I read elsewhere that it's good for toning down brassiness in blonde hair - something that I sometimes struggle with. On applying the product I noticed that the crème formula was definitely "non drip" which I liked, and being ammonia free made it a pleasant experience to use compared with dye I’ve used in the past containing ammonia that left me choking on fumes, yuck! I followed the instructions to a tee, starting with my roots then later running the product through the lengths of my hair. I found the dye easy to wash out and loved the scent of the conditioner – intrigued also by the ingredient ‘royal jelly’. Later after drying my hair I could see that the colour had taken well to my roots and blended well with the lengths of my hair. It didn’t come out exactly the same colour as on the packaging but I was content with the results and pleased to find the colour was definitely less brassy than others I’ve tried. The conditioner had also left my hair feeling smooth and looking glossy. A couple of days later I washed my hair again, this time with my HG purple shampoo and fell in love the results. In the end, my hair came out a nice and light shiny blonde colour complete with natural high and low lights. Ultimately, I’d be happy to pay a few more dollars for this product compared to some other cheaper dyes I've tried as I think the results were superior and importantly, my hair still felt healthy afterwards.
Tips: Use a toothbrush to ensure full coverage on the roots.
This product was great. I really like the colour, although all the dye I have in my hair from many years of dyeing has built up so my hair is quite dark now, and you can't tell the true colour of the dye properly unfortunately. I find when I dye my hair my roots take ages to develop :(
This product is very easy to use and does not smell too bad, like some dyes I have used in the past where you can't even breathe properly lol. Also I love the fact that when your rinsing the dye out it doesn't take ages to get the water to run clear, that's always a bonus ;)
So all in all a great little product and I would definitely recommend to others!!
Tips: Now we all know how horrible dye skin stains are!! So my tip is to go around your hairline with a barrier cream to help prevent staining, and always have a damp cloth on hand to wipe any areas of dye from your face asap!!
My other tip is, once you have finished washing out your hair, run as cold a water as you can handle through your hair for about a minute...Why you say? I find that doing this helps prevent dye seepage at night onto your pillow ;)
I purchased this product with the mind of covering up a regrowth line, so that I looked nice in my Christmas-in-Thailand photos. I had a regrowth line after colouring my hair for the first time last year; I hate the look of regrowth, and in hindsight I wish I had only gone with a semi-permanent at the time. So I specifically wanted a semi-permanent this time, because I only wanted a temporary fix and to not do any further damage to my hair.
First impressions, the product is easy to use and straightforward. You put the colour into the developer, and spread through your hair. Easy, and a nice short developing time (20 min). I have long, straight, relatively fine hair; and I found one bottle was more than enough to cover everything. The smell is much more pleasant than other colours I have smelt.
Rinsing the colour out doesn't take long, and the creme conditioner that comes with it is a delight; nice fragrance, nice texture, and leaves your hair silky smooth. Enough to get through 3-4 washes as well.
The colour turned out darker than I expected, but given that it does begin to fade (and I was in the sun everyday), after a week the colour was exactly as I wanted it to be.
And a huge added bonus, now a month on (when it has mostly faded out, my hair is back to its mid-brown), and my previous regrowth line is much less noticable!! And the condition of my hair is still lovely and healthy and soft. I'm a semi permanent convert now, if you want 'the look', but not the damage or long effect of permanent, then give this product a try.
Tips: These tend to be on the darker side... I went with medium brown, and it ended up dark. If you want your hair to turn out a specific shade, choose one shade lighter in the spectrum.
I love this product i did hair dressing so no the difference between products but as a student u cant afored salone probucts some times but i found that this did just as good this was amazing had good coverage and was easy to apply and didnt fade fast im really happy with this and would recommend it to any one that is new at coloring there hair or eants a amazing look x
Great coverage, nice even uniformed colour. I had highlights and they went the same colour as the rest of my hair. Very east to use, instructions straight forward and simple. Loved the Royal Jelly crème in the bottle. So much easier to use than in a packet and there was enough for a couple washes! Great that it has no ammonia in it, smells good too. My hair is very shiny and healthy looking now - lots of comments on my new colour too. Will definitely use again!
