I get my hair chemically straightened as it is super curly and unmanageable like lordes so permanently colouring my hair is out of the question. This though wow!, I've used iced chocolate, and dark brown probably around 4-5 times total. If you hair is quite thick and or long I would recommend buying two boxes or you won't be able to work it entirely though your hair. It is like a deep condition. My hair feels so soft, it smells so yum and I love the conditioner that comes with it. Super easy to apply and of course does not hurt my scalp at all. When I first started using this it did fade quite quick I would say after a month but then the more and more I used it of course now takes forever to fade out. I would say a solid 3 months of full colour. Which is amazing for temporary but you do have to build up to this.

Tips: Smooth into scalp first in the sections. Then go through the sections spreading the product down and working into hair. I recommend not leaving any longer then the recommended time or it gets very very dark.
When I first started dying my hair, I was looking for an option where it would wash out in the event that I didn’t like it (or the school didn’t like it). Before my rebellious highlighted days, this was the brand I would turn to, to dye my hair Mahogany Red. That’s the colour I have in my diary. These days I am no longer on the 28-wash wagon, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t have a soft spot for this.
Usually when I coloured my hair, it would last me about 24-30 washes, or six to eight weeks, maybe a bit longer depending on the colour. The colour would be vibrant and shiny and it wouldn’t really start to fade until about the tenth wash. There are a lot of cheaper alternatives on the market, but I had insisted on buying this, because the others contained ammonia and it burnt my scalp. Because there’s no ammonia in it, it’s an almost pleasant smell. You don’t have to worry about staining either, because it comes off quite easy enough. If you don’t want the permanence of other products, I’d suggest this one. Some colours are a bit harder to get out, but it does come out eventually.
I am a Hairdresser and dont really like home die kits, My mum brought this for me to apply to her hair as she doesnt like paying all the time at the salon as her regrowth is white and needs doing every few weeks. I found it a lovely product and easy to apply, we used 5.15 and found it covered the greys/whites lovely and almost blends them so as the hair grows out its not as noticable. Also leaves the hair lovely and shiney and silkey.
Tips: Remove any colour from the hairline/face straight away for absolutely no stainage
This is my preferred home hair colour if I'm doing it myself. I use the darkest brown colour pack, and it's great. Colour comes out as stated, and I find it very easy to use. Doesn't have quite as bad of a smell as some do either, which is a bonus. I have sensitive skin and have gotten mild irritation from different brands at times, however I have never had an issue with this brand. I also find that my hair is super soft and shiny afterwards, another added bonus! Although this is a temporary hair colour kit (which I used to avoid), I find that it lasts extremely well.
L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss is the only hair colour I have and will ever use. It's easy step by step guide is truly fail proof and I love how this washes out rather then grows out. I always use the brown tone and after colouring my hair it always looks shiny, glossy and full of life. It covers grey hair easily and no-one ever knows that I use a colour as I tend to use a colour match close to my own hair colour. I allow half an hour to do the colouring and usually do this in the shower to minimize the drips going all over the floor.
Tips: If you end up with the colour on or around your face, use a bit of conditioner on a cotton ball or soft cloth to wipe it away without leaving any stains.
I really like this product, it's affordable, smells gorgeous, has no Ammonia, gives a great shine, and has the best gloves (Not ugly plastic bag ones).
You get 6 lovely items in the box: Instruction manual Creme Colour Creme Gloss Conditioner (smells sooo good!) Gloves (best gloves ever!!) And the nozzle for everything!
I must say, this has to be one of the best semi permanent hair dye. It leaves your hair feeling silky, refreshed and more other amazing words to describe it!
I've used multiple dyes over the past 4-5 years. This semi permanent has to be my favourite.
I loved the Black Cheery Casting Creme Gloss colour. I also like the fact that its Ammonia free and less damaging on the hair. The colour lasts a reasonable amount of time and nice and vibrant.
Tips: I would recommend using colour protect product to help lock colour in longer and if you want to have colour last even longer try washing it less... I know this is hard to do.
So my Trial product arrived and as i was deeply anticipating it and well over due for a colour i dived straight in.
First of all I noticed the Gloves in the box were super small. I have small hands and getting them on was a squeeze... Luckily I had spare gloves on hand for an occasion such as this.
Secondly I noticed it had the usual three bottles in the box.. developer, colour and the conditioner... The conditioner was of generous size and at the end i found i only needed about half of it for my whole hair (gave it a deep condition) I thought at first that perhaps the colour mixture wouldn't be enough, even for my shoulder length hair, but after about halfway in I discovered that I had plenty, and would have had some leftover.
Then the colour develops. The smell was what you expect of a dye, however it didn't have the nasty fumes from an ammonia based product due to it having none in it.
Developing took all of 20 mins which i found super fast and was very happy with how quick the entire process was...
Washing out was the bit I was worried about, due to us having a brand new shower and most packet dyes take 10 minutes or more to wash the colour out entirely I was worried I would get it all over the walls etc... But the colour was completely washed out in a minute or two! I was stunned. And there was no product anywhere in the new shower (mum would kill me he he)
No colour squeezed out while towel drying my hair.
All in all It was a breezy, clean, and stress-free situation. And I am loving the colour already (Caramel) Which showed up and blended nicely over my old blonde foils and brown re-growth, and gave me a nice natural looking colour!
Will definitely be using this product again
Tips: Make sure you have your own gloves on hand as they are very small..
Will update how the colour wears also in a couple weeks :)
i was picked to trial the casting creme hair dye, so i chose black cherry. i usually have bright red hair, so its a little bit of a change. first off, i loved the gloves! but i have really big hands so they were pretty tight, and i ripped them a little. it was easy to apply, had a little bit left over. After 20 mins i washed it out, and used the conditioner. And still have enough left to use some next wash. very dark than im use to, but feels lovely and looks nice for freshly dyed hair. Thumbs up.
This is my favourite hair colour, it's super easy and the colours are gorgeous with such a wide range! It lasts really well but of course that depends what you expose your hair to!
Tips: Shop around as some places charge a lot more for this product than others!
