I am absolutely floored by the L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss and how much I oh so adore it!! I found the box to be very useful in that it had a perforated section where the application bottle stood so that I could put the developer cream in to the applicator without spillage on my very white sink.
The smell is quite pleasant which is a change to the very chemical and strong smelling dyes of other brands that I have used in the past which makes a nice change. The bottle was very easy to use on my hair giving even coverage and getting to the very root which often I miss with applicator bottles which are hard to squeeze or the nozzle is shaped wrong.
The instructions were easy to follow but I didn't understand why I had to dye the roots first wait fifteen minutes then continue with the rest it's a waste of my time so I just did the whole lot in one go which worked just as well. So it's a hassle without needing to be.
I have the same complaint as with every box of home dye that the gloves that are supplied are too small for my sausage fingers and therefore they split and my fingers were covered in black dye for two days before it wore off. I do however love the little plastic container the gloves came in and is being reused as a piercings container (very handy)!
The colour developed very fast on my hair and I saw results within five minutes of it being on. I chose the colour Licorice which is a black shade and very dramatic for a usual red head. After twenty five minutes I washed it out and it left black remnants all over my shower box which was a let down and even after scrubbing furiously it was still noticeable.
The colour was a huge difference for me but I am in total love with it and will continue to use this product and this colour choice for a while until I change my mind again.
It has been 7 days since my transformation and the colour is still sticking and is as dramatic as the day I dyed it even after washing three times so I am sold on it!! I am a believer! I love it even more because when I look at it in the light it has tints of green which is exactly what licorice looks like when bitten or cut.
One other thing that I didn't like to much is it is called a Creme Gloss but it made my hair feel straw like even after conditioning which I remedied with a hair treatment.
All in all have found a new love in my life and it's neither my husband nor my son its L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss oh yesssss!!!!
I put this colour through about a week ago and it was ok. It shows a lot of golden tones in my hard more than blonde and my roots look completely golden. It made my hair feel pretty alright after. The smell of the colour itself wasn't over powering but the conditioner smelt really bad. I didn't like the conditioner at all.
