I really enjoyed using this product. Though the gloves were small, the instructions were very easy to follow (and come in so many languages!) and the process was very simple. I'd never coloured my hair myself before so I was a little nervous about it but was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was. It came with loads of conditioner as well which was fab. I have brown hair and simply dyed it another brown but much nicer. Most people didn't even notice I'd dyed it to be honest but I thought the colour was great, clearly very natural looking and still felt healthy and smooth. I specifically asked a couple of friends what they thought and both noted my hair was shinier and healthy looking which is always fab to hear. I dyed it 19/12 so a little under 3 weeks ago and I can tell the colour has faded a bit. I understand that its summer but I would say it definitely wouldn’t last 28 washes, for me anyway. I would be happy to use this product again though, and would recommend it to others for sure! I’m pleased I had the chance to trial it!

Tips: Have other gloves on hand in case you can't fit the ones given
I really enjoyed using this L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss. It made my hair a lovely brunette shade. Originally I had brunette to blonde ombre hair but decided to go back to a full brunette colour and this dye made my hair shiny, soft and a nice shade after using it. The instructions that came in the box were very useful and even though I'm not a beginner when it comes to dying hair at home, I'm sure a beginner would find it easy to do with this particular hair dye box.
I absolutely loved it, I put it in myself, no neck, ear or head stain - yay. Really great coverage that covered all greys, looks really natural and lights up beautifully in the sun.
For myself personally the after conditioner just made my hair floppy and frizzy so I only used that once but that has made no difference to the fullness of the colour. Normally I use permanant colours (for over 20 years now) but I think I will swap now to the Casting Creme Gloss as it is so nice and makes my hair look bright, glossy and healthy which is a plus on it's own so thank you BR crew and L'Oreal for the great trial!
Tips: Don't be precious when applying as no stains happened to me and like I said, I did it on my own in the bathroom!!
I regularly dye my hair with supermarket colour (naughty me) and some have had a tough time covering my natural red locks. This hair dye was easy to use, not too runny, and the smell wasn't too overbearing. I found it covered most my regrowth, and didn't loose too much colouring in the wash out over the next few days. The conditioner it came with was a good size, and made my hair feel nice the next day. Would recommend and use again.
Tips: Vaseline/Moisturise to avoid getting a stained face/neck & ears!
I've used my fair share of at-home hair colouring products in my time, and I have to say that this is one of the best! The bottle applicator is really easy to use, resulting in minimal mess. My favourite thing about the formula is that it smells really good, which is not usually the case with hair colour. 20 minutes is really all that is needed for the colour to develop once applied, and that's that! Easy peasy!
The conditioner is absolutely amazing, and the combination of the colouring formula and the conditioner left my hair soft and glossy. The end result was a cool dark brown, which I would definitely use again.
Tips: Wipe off any mess around your face as quickly as possible to avoid staining, especially if you're using a dark colour. Also, use a dark towel, as colour washes out quite a bit even after a few washes.
I really love Casting Creme Gloss. I don't know of any other brand that still has a Semi-Permanent so thanks for that L'oreal!
Mixing and application is really simple and the fact that its ammonia free means you don't have that nasty strong smell. I have fairly long but fine hair and one pack is enough for me to get full coverage. I do have some greys and it covers them up nicely. My hair is always lovely and shiny after using this. I have used various colors in this range, mostly dark browns, reds and purples. For this review i used the Plum shade which i loved. I find that the reds and purples fade out quite quickly for me, i would say you get a couple of weeks before it is noticeable (no doubt dependent on how often you wash you hair) but for that reason this is a great choice for if you want to try out a new colour but not commit to the permanent version.
Smell was pretty strong - could smell it as soon as I opened the courier package. It wasn't the usual chemical smell though, pretty fruity.
As I have thick hair in knew this wouldn't cover it all so used it to cover up blonde ends of hair that have grown out over last few months.
It went on same as most other hair dyes I've used - trickiest part was not getting it on my clothes. Gloves did the job & solutions mixed nicely.
Coverage was good - certainly covered up any blonde bits & my hair was left silky smooth after using the conditioner.
After one wash the colour still seems strong & my hair still has the shiny sheen on the ends.
The only negative would be the strong perfumed smell of the product - it was nice it wasn't the usual chemical smell but not sure it needed to be so strong.
Tips: Make sure you use old towels and wear old clothes - using a dark colour like I did will stain anything it drips on.
The easiest home hair dye product I've used. Pleasant smell not overpowering like some other home dye products I've used. Really good coverage too especially stray grey hairs. I highly recommend the L'Oreal casting Creme gloss to everyone and look forward to trying some of the other colours in this range. The instructions are really good and easy to follow as well.
Tips: No matter what hair dye product I use I always put a little Vaseline around the hairline to make sure there's no chance of the product staining skin.
I like this product. The smell was nice, it was really easy to use and the color payoff was great. My hair is soft and shiny which I like too. The gloves were to small for my hands though, and it does fade quite quickly. Overall a very good product and what I would use again before something else.
This is amazing! It is super easy to apply and doesn't leave permanent stains on everything (because it's not permanent). I left mine on for 45 minutes as I have always done with other hair dyes. It washed out really easy and didn't leave big blobs on my scalp like some other dyes do. It is quite dark at the moment but this is quite normal for hair dyes I feel so will fade down in a couple of washes. I have naturally auburn hair and I found that the colour on the box came out exactly what it says. The conditioner is lovely and leaves your hair feeling really silky soft. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who doesn't like the permanent solutions
Tips: Put glad wrap on your head after colouring to make the colour stick even better!
