This was my first time using a non-ammonia hair dye, and for a semi permanent I was pleasantly suprised. It smelt amazing, and was super gentle on my hair. I got the shade 530 Praline. It was a deep brown with blonde highlights showing through in the light. The dye was easy to apply, and was super glossy and made my hair look amazing. It has already faded a bit after 6 washes though so I'm a bit disappointed about that but overall I have enjoyed trying this product, and would recommend it to anyone not wanting a permanent colour.

Tips: Try not to wash your hair too much so your colour lasts longer :)
I liked using this product made my hair shiny and smooth while providing a great colour, it was easy to apply and spread really well ! I would definitely use this again ! The instructions were easy to follow, and the bottle made for easy application.
The product smells great, and gave me no irritation at all! The colour has lasted in my hair well seems to be on track for the 6-8 weeks claim.
Tips: If you have long hair I would suggest using two packets as one is not quite enough.
First thing that I noticed when I opened it was its smell. It smelled kind of like strawberries. Although one box of this wasn't enough for me, it did give me colour and it didn't dry out my hair at all! One thing that I didn't like was that the colour transferred onto my towel everytime I wash my hair that's why I'm on the fence on whether I would use it again or not.
I have super long hair so thought I was going to have to go buy a back up bottle, this was not the case. Tons of product that covered everything!! The smell was ok although I thought it still smelt a lil of ammonia Evan though it's ammonia free (odd sense of smell??) haha. The washing out was horrible, the colour just kept coming out but I suppose it's a wash out colour so is to be expected, it's been a while now and the colour has lasted quite well and left my hair nice and soft, overall it done what it said
Tips: Make sure you use in a well ventilated area despite being ammonia free, and one bottle goes a long way
I was chosen to trial this and unfortunately didn't receive my box, so being the curious creature that I am, I popped out and picked one of these up in the color Ebony. I have waist length, thick (ish), heat/colour damaged hair and am always on the look out for a dye that has no amonia in it as I can't stand the smell. I found this product to be OK but not amazing. Yes it covered my evil greys, yes it smells nice, yes it colours your hair, however I don't think it gave my hair that glorious glossy I've just dyed my hair look that I love! I'd use it if I didn't have anything else but there are other products on the market without amonia that I'd rather use.
From reading the instructions to putting the dye in my hair it was a fairly easy process. The colour came out quite dark but after a few washes is a nice dark brown. I found it took a few washes and leavingin leave in condiniter for it to feel nice again. It was feeling like straw. Would use again.
Tips: Clean skin around hairline if you dye on skin so it doesnt stain.
I have this problem with all supermarket or pharmacy brought hair dyes so please don't take my review alone as law.
I found it didn't colour my hair as well as it should even after following the before instructions.
The consistency is nice in comparision to alternative brands and it doesn't have the foul smell that others have either which was a nice change.
The packaging is nice to look at and if buying on packGing alone I would choose this by far.
I have rather sensitive skin and this didn't seem to react badly. Another bonus!
The gloves are not the nicest gloves to try and work with to be honest.
All in all it's a good product and I would recommend to try this over the ammonia based ones if your hair allows you to dye it from such packets.
This was a pleasant hair dying experience :)
This had good informative instructions on how to apply the product. The treatment conditioner for after was very generously sized for more than one application. The gloves that were supplied were very small - hard to get on your hand (my hands are normal sized). The product also had a great smell and was easy to use. I love the end result of the colour I chose
Tips: Put some vaseline round your hairline to prevent staining on your skin
I like this product. The smell was nice, it was really easy to use and the color payoff was great. My hair is soft and shiny which I like too. The gloves were to small for my hands though, and it does fade quite quickly. Overall a very good product and what I would use again before something else.
I haven't used a semi-permanent hair colour in almost a decade. So when I got to trial this product, I decided to get a different colour from my normal dark brown and went with the Black Cherry shade.
The product was very easy to use - it didn't drip at all and the applicator was an easy shape to hold and use. The gloves are very small, which is great for my small hands - but they were very hard to get off (I ended up ripping them).
The best part about this product is the smell - no ammonia and smelled almost fruity. The conditioner provided also smells lovely, is very hydrating, and makes my hair feel very smooth afterwards.
The colour was quite subtle - it still looked dark brown/black and only looked red in the sunlight (which is great over summer). The dye covered my greys and gave my hair a bit of life, shine, and gloss. The colour however didn't really last for 28 washes for me - turning into more of a brown/auburn colour, rather than cherry red, after about 15 washes.
I would recommend this product and shade to people with dark hair who are not after a dramatic change, just a bit of colour and oomph.
Tips: Use moisturiser or vaseline round the hairline to stop staining of the skin
