This is a great product for the budget minded. The amount dispensed for application can be a bit hit and miss, but once you work it out, it should be fine. I have never used a lash serum before, but age has diminished my lashes a bit, so wanted to give them a bit of help. After applying for about five weeks,I haven't noticed my lashes looking any longer, I have noticed a difference when I apply mascara. My lashes seem longer and slightly fuller. I have noticed that when I remove my mascara at night, there is alao something yellowy being removed and I guess that is the serum?

Tips: A good place to start when wanting to explore lash serums without a large outlay.
I have never tried an eye lash serum until now, although I’ve wanted to, and was very happy to be given the opportunity to trial this one.
It comes in a white tube with a silver piece at each end. One end is to force the product through to the other end, where the white brush absorbs the product to be brushed onto the eye lashes. The product itself is clear and thin, so doesn’t drip or run into my eyes. It is fragrance free – luckily when it’s so close to the eyes!
So, as per the instructions, I have been applying it by brushing it on my eye line then running the brush over my lashes to absorb any extra product, every morning straight after showering and every night immediately before going to bed. I started using it on 22 December. For the first two weeks I didn’t notice anything, then by the third week I started to notice my lashes getting thicker. By four weeks they were much thicker and by six weeks it was getting hard to apply eyeliner behind them. I have to say, my lashes feel stronger and I haven’t had any noticeable lash loss. Great results from a product that is so easy to use. I didn't try using it with mascara but it dries immediately and I could apply eye liner without it running, so I presume you can apply mascara a few minutes after application without any problems.
It’s very good and I really like it. I have put pics on the photo wall but I don’t think my poor photography really sells the product as well as it should be sold. In any case, it is a very good product and I recommend trying it.
Tips: Apply twice daily to your eye line as per the instructions, then wait for great results.
I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial this lash serum before it hits the market. I have tried lash serums before, and found them to be effective, so I was curious to see if this would work too.
This serum is packaged as a white wand, with a silver handle and silver cap. The box it comes in is coloured silver, blue and white. The English instructions on the box say to apply the serum onto the roots of both the upper and lower lash lines in the morning and in the evening. For the trial team we were asked to apply the serum twice a day for 90 days. I have been applying mine for about 2 months.
The applicator for the serum is a small white brush, which is located under the removable silver cap on one end. The serum is loaded onto the brush by winding the silver handle on the other end of the wand. This part of the instructions is not included anywhere on the box. This differs from other lash serums I have used where you dip the brush into the serum, much like a mascara, but it still worked effectively. A couple of twists of the handle got enough serum onto the brush to coat the roots of both sets of lashes on each eye. The brush is quite short, yet soft like a paintbrush, so it was easy to apply to my lash roots. My main criticism of the product design is that the cap of the brush, and the handle, look very similar, so I spent the first few weeks trying to pull the handle off instead of the cap every time I went to use it! Hopefully they make them more distinctive in future.
The serum itself goes on clear, and is not noticeable once applied. It also does not affect the application of any eye makeup, such as eyeshadow and mascara. I have sensitive eyes too, and it did not really affect them. There was a little sensitivity when the product first went on, but that soon went away.
So, did it work? Yes, it did. My lashes, both top and bottom, became noticeably longer after using it for two months. It does take a bit of remembering to apply it twice a day, every day, but it is worth it if you want naturally longer lashes.
I had the opportunity to trial this amazing product through beauty review. First time using a lash serum I was a little sceptical but found it showed amazing results at the end of 90 days. My lashes are quiet short and straight and really didn't bring out the best in making my eyes stand out. I noticed after using this amazing product after the trial time, my lashes have become much fuller, longer and have a beautiful flick on the tips. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that has the same problem as me.
Not gonna lie - L'Oreal are not a brand that springs to mind when it comes to lash serums.
I've used lash serums/conditioners in the past, to varying results. The brand I saw the most length with, was insanely expensive. The 'natural' one, yeah, nah. And the thing is - I don't need long lashes, I need more lashes. I have gaps the size of a cotton bud head, in my lash line.
So. L'Oreal's toe-dip into lash serums. What did I think.
The packaging has an insane amount of information on it. It does not look anywhere near as classy as the sleek, branding I'm used to on a lash serum. It cheapens it. The name is 'Clinically Proven Lash Serum' and you know what? I don't mind it. Tells you what it is, and I can pronounce it. No 'is it Lie-, is it Lil?' here.
The tube itself is kind of like a marker pen, with some ominous 'ml' markings, like a medical syringe. You turn the top to dispense serum. The brush is ridiculous. Why not just give us a paintbrush?! Its so wide, I mean, you're not going to miss your lash line with it, that's a positive, the negative is I kept wiping my eyeball.
I had no reactions to the eyeball wiping, btw. And my eyes are quite sensitive so for an eye product, that's a huge win.
Ok, so we've established I like the name, hate the packaging and hate the dispenser. But what were the results?
Fast forward to maybe week 5 of twice a day application. My lashes are thick. Like really, thick. My lashline looks darker due to the increased number of lashes. Length I haven't really noticed a change, they're not suddenly touching my glasses lens or anything. And I like that. I love that I don't need to wear mascara to feel like my eyes look ready for the day.
I am so impressed with the results, I feel bad I prejudged L'Oreal getting into the lash serum game, but I'll make it up to them by buying another tube!
My eyelashes are probably considered average in length but are sparse in the inner corners and do lack volume. To date I have been using this serum twice a day for just over 60 days.
The packaging of the eyelash serum is white with a chrome lid. It's quite clinical looking but appealing. The application brush is different to what I have used previously with eyelash serums. It's a thick but very flexible soft brush, which is prefect for the delicate eye area. To use you need to click the end of the tube around to release the serum. This design was frustrating at times as more offen then not a few click brought nothing up. This caught me out on several occasions as I would keep clicking until suddenly too much was released, it was easy to apply once you got the serum out though. I applied it morning and night along the root of the eyelash as directed on the package. The serum is clear like other eyelash serums and it has a slight smell but not offensive.
On the box it claims that people who trialled it agreed that: it helps strengthens lashes; they saw a reduction in the number of eyelashes lost and it helped their lashes look fuller. It took me about 6 weeks to notice a real difference but I do agreed with the above claims. My eyelashes at 8 weeks appeared much stronger, glossier and fuller and the spare eyelashes in the corner of my eyelids have grown out. These results are quite noticeable when I apply mascara as I have more volume and definition and there tend to be less lashes lost when I remove eye make up. I don't believe it made my eyelashes look any longer but the serum never claims to do this. I think it is a great alternative to more expensive lash serums on the market for $29.95. I didn't experience any nasty side effects like redness or stinging around my eyelid or unwanted hair growth on other areas near my eye. Comparing it to lilash which I have used previously. I found it much more conditioning in that it strengthened and made my lashes look fuller but it obviously didn't increased the length of my eyelashes like lilash did so in all fairness it's hard to compare the two when lilash is marketed as a growth serum.
I would certainly recommend this eyelash serum if you are not too worried about increasing your eyelash length and are more interested in conditioning and strengthening your eyelashes. I will probably repurchase too once it runs out.
Tips: Be careful when twisting the tube!
L'Oreal's Clinically Proven Lash Serum promises to "Take your lashes to new lengths with the easy to use lash booster serum applicator. Simply apply to the lash line every day and watch as your lashes become stronger, longer and thicker!" But does it live up to its promise?
I've always been very skeptical when it comes to lash serums. They're horribly expensive, and do they actually work? How much of it is all in your mind? Have you imagined that your lashes are fuller, longer or thicker? Well, I took before photos before I began using this lash serum, and the results speak for themselves.
After using the serum twice per day (morning and evening) for one month, my lash 'fringe' felt thicker and I was no longer losing eyelashes during the day or when I removed my make-up at night. My lashes feel longer, but I think that's all in my mind, as when I look in the mirror they don't really look longer than they used to, but there's definitely more fullness.
L'Oreal's Clinically Proven Lash Serum is enriched with castor oil, Vitamin B5, Filoxane and Hyaluronic Acid, which help to strengthen and reinforce lashes over time. This serum also helps to repair any damage caused by heavy (waterproof) mascara use, use of lash extensions or false lashes.
One thing that I don't like about the applicator is that it has a brush tip, which was difficult to use in the beginning without accidentally sticking the bristles into my eye by accident. After I'd used it for a week or two, the bristles stuck together and became more like a liquid eyeliner applicator, which was much easier to use. Another thing was that it's hard to tell how much product is on applicator and whether or not you need to twist the base to get more product to flow to the tip. One twist of the base is sometimes not enough, while two twists is too much and eyelashes end up soaked in product, instead of it just being applied like liquid eyeliner.
Initially this serum made eyelids itchy about an hour after I'd applied the serum, but the itchiness stopped after about two weeks of using the product. I'm guessing that it was just the serum drying on my skin that caused the slight itchiness, as there was no redness, no swelling, and no allergic reaction.
I've been using the serum twice daily for two months now, and I think the proof is in the 'after' photos. I'd recommend this serum and would definitely consider purchasing more, as it does work (my lashes are definitely fuller and don't fall out as easily) and its way more affordable than dedicated lash serum brands on the market. If you've always wanted to try and eyelash serum but the price of LiLash or fLash has put you off, give L'Oreal's Clinically Proven Lash Serum a try!
Tips: Apply twice daily (morning and evening) EVERY day for the best results
I had never felt a need to use a lash serum because my lashes are long and I've always been happy with them. I was really curious to see the results of one so excitedly accepted this trial team opportunity. It was a big commitment. I needed to apply this lash serum twice a day for 60 days. To be honest it very easily became a part of my skincare routine. I left it in a prominent place on the vanity in the bathroom and I only forgot to apply it a few times over the whole time. The packaging is quite simple, not overly fancy or complicated but its perfect for the job. There is the brush at on end and a twist dispenser on the other end. I quickly figured out that two turns per application was the right amount. Sometimes in low light it was hard to tell the ends apart since they are both silver. The brush is what you would expect and the serum itself looks like a clear gel. It goes on easily, just brush it on and you're ready to go. I used this twice a day for the whole 60 days and there is still product in there. I am interested to see how much longer it lasts for. The price is really reasonable compared to other lash serums and makes it really affordable when it easily lasts the two months you need to start seeing results. Now for the outcome! I have to admit I wasn't expecting much. I was already pretty happy with my lashes, they were a decent length and I've never worried about it before. I took before and after photos and there is a very noticeable difference in length and the amount of lashes I have. While they were long enough to point up at the ends before you can see on the comparison now that they curl around at the ends. I have so many more lashes now that when I've put mascara on them it looks like I have falsies or extra lashes on. It has become easier to put mascara on and get better results over the trial period and that's something I would never expected. I am really pleased with how well and noticeably this lash serum has worked and since it is so reasonable I will be purchasing it when the trial one runs out. It's become a natural part of my daily beauty routine.
Tips: Whatever you do try not to get the product in your eye. I managed to a couple of times and it stings!
I had been reading lots of reviews and articles about lash serums on BR so when a trial popped up I put my hand up right away, when I got an invite I was super excited! It comes in the form of a pen, one end has soft white bristles and the other end you simply turn until it clicks to release some serum. The directions are on the box it comes in. Simply apply to lash lines both morning and night.
I started using this the night it arrived. I have used without fail everyday, twice a day for 60 days, applying to both upper and lower lashes. It is a clear serum, you definitely don't need much. I used a bit much a couple of times and it ended up drying white in my eyelashes which looked like glue. It is easy to get off though. I was quite worried at first if it was going to get in my eyes and cause stinging or irritation but thankfully it didn't, in fact it is very gentle. My eyes never went red or felt uncomfortable.
My lashes are dark brown and neither short nor long. I certainly hoped I could get a bit of extra length. The results for me were good, I noticed my lashes appear a lot fuller and stronger. I have had less lash fallout and I can definitely notice growth on my outer corner lashes the most. When I wear mascara is when I can see a big difference, they look longer and lush. I started seeing results around the 6-7 week mark.
This is the first lash serum I have used so I have nothing to compare it too but I am still happy with my results so far and will continue to use until it runs out. As it is not see through I have no idea how much product is left which is a bit annoying. I have really enjoyed this trial and I would purchase this lash serum for future use.
I was lucky enough to trial L'Oreal's new clinically proven lash serum before it hit the market here and was excited to experience it myself. Firstly, the packaging is about the size of a mascara wand, tubular and sleek with a white body and two silver ends - a lid, and a rotating base used to twist up product. While I liked the look of the packaging, I was forever pulling on the wrong end.
To apply the serum you twist the end and a small amount of product is dispersed through a brush, which you then apply along your lashline to the base of your lashes. The brush is much wider than my lash line but is really easy to use. I found that when twisting up product it comes out really easily and often too much comes out, resulting in wasted product.
The consistency of the serum is quite thick. After application it really coats your lashes and you need to give it time in the morning before applying eye makeup. The serum irritated my eyes at first but I have experienced this before with a lash serum and found that after some time of using it I got used to it and no longer experienced irritation.
Since I normally use a lash serum anyway so I decided to trial the L'Oreal version on one eye and my usual Revitalash on the other and see if I noticed any difference between the two.I applied both products each day as directed, Revitalash once in the evening before bed, and L'Oreal twice a day. The results after two months usage?
One of the serum's claims is less lash fall out. This is something I regularly noticed before the trial and I can say that I have noticed less lash fall out since using the serum. My lashes are also looking long and healthy. Without mascara I didn't really notice any difference between my two eyes. However upon applying mascara and closely examining them, I do think the lashes on my right eye (Revitaliash) are slightly longer. Unfortunately I don't have any lash length measurements but I will be posting before and after photos for comparison next week after I have my lash lift, as I had a lash lift at the beginning of the trial and having my "after" photos pre lash lift doesn't give a fair comparison.
Would I use the serum again myself? I probably wouldn't however I would recommend it to friends and family. Why? Personally I didn't like how thick the serum felt on my lashes and combined with the thick brush my lashes felt really gluggy just after applying it, which I don't get with my usual serum. I can also see that I have gotten slightly better results with my regular serum, which aren't dramatically different but worth the difference for me.
The L'Oreal serum has a way more affordable price point and because of it's proven results I would happily recommend it to others to try, either as their first lash serum or as an alternative to a pricier one they are currently using because with the price tag, EVERYONE should be on the lash serum train.
Tips: The brush applies a LOT of product, twist gently so you don't end up wasting it unneccessarily. If you do end up with excess, less is still more on your lashes as if you overapply your lashes can feel gluggy. If you have thinner eyebrows maybe try the excess on there!
