9.99 is considered extremely affordable for nail polish and even though the price was good the product wasn't.
The product is very sheer upon application and streaky with the first coat. I had to apply multiple coats.
On one had I applied 3 coats with no top coat and on the other 3 coats with a basic top and base coats.
The hand with no top coat chipped within a day. So it is a product that's needs top coat but the down side to using top coat is the finish is not the same.
I found that the brush was frayed out also which made application hard.
In my opinion this is a waste of $9.99 as it wasn't long lasting nor opaque and difficult to apply.
It's always a treat to choose a new colour, something "out of the box" that is inspiring and creates a difference. I put my hand up for the Grey-Aux Chandelles and looked forward to my next back fill at the nail bar. I like taking my own colour and they know I like to ring the changes! So today was The Day. Newly finished nails all ready for ... Shades of Grey. Hmm, the first coat looked awfully thin, the second was weakly better. The waxy finish looked a bit like a canary's egg (or similar!). So I said, paint one nail silver, and she did - it brightened the effect. Then we applied a third coat and on one hand a clear finish and on the other a fourth coat. The shiny nails are quite a nice colour (with the silver ring finger) and the waxy grey is, well, still a bit egg-like. One shade of fifty I might do this again; its really not sexy, nor meltingly seductive. I'm not loving the colour though I have had great reactions from various people.
Tips: Not really
