Yes my fair feel better after using this but I've tried many better and would rather a masque in bottle or pump for ease of application. A bit nicer smell be great too. Boring and nothing to brag about

I wasn’t going to buy this after hearing that L’Oreal test on animals, but then I did, I bought it from The Warehouse for $10.00.
It comes in a big round 300ml pot, which is red and white. I was keen to try it after using the Extraordinary Oil mask, which was fabulous.
On opening the pot, the smell isn’t strong, but it is a nice strong flowery smell, potentially too strong really, once you have it in your hand.
I like to smear a good handful through my hair, after I have washed and conditioned it, then let it soak into my hair while I relax in the bath.
The product says it is concentrated with an active serum of Pro-Keratin and Ceramide to deeply nourish and repair your hair. The light texture softens the hair, without weighing down.
It’s ok, and does nourish and repair the hair to a degree, but I’d say the extraordinary oil is much more moisturising on my dry hair. And I like the smell of the extraordinary oil more, even though this one is also quite nice. I did think this one would be better than it is though.
I wouldn't probably buy it again, unless the extraordinary oil wasn’t available.
Oh, and strangely, I liked it less as I got near the bottom of the pot, even the smell was annoying me by the time I finished it. I'm not sure why that was.
The texture of this is weird first off. I saw no difference in the moisture of my hair. I would never buy this again. Very disappointed
I made the big mistake of colour damaging my hair recently which left my hair burned, frizzy and breaking at the drop of a hat. This is when I decided drastic measurements needed to be taken so I purchased a semi-fancy brand hair mask. Enter L'oreal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Mask. I have used other products in this range before so was expecting some sort of good result.
The tub is quite a substantial amount which is good value for the price I paid. I paid $9.99 for this tub and I was quite surprised by how cheap it was considering it's a hair mask and a well known brand.
The formula is quite thick in consistency which made my heart happy. If it's thick it means to me that it has moisture galore and will penetrate my hair to lock in moisture. I wash my hair as usual and put this in my hair concentrating on the most damaged areas of my hair which is the tips.
I leave it in for a good ten minutes to let it really soak in to my hair. After I rinse it out I didn't really find it to be any different to what it was when I started. After four uses it feels slightly less rope like but not significantly better which I thought it would be.
I would expect for a well known well respected brand that it would give better results, Even after using it with their shampoo and conditioner it doesn't work that well. I am highly disappointed to be honest.
Tips: Use quite a bit of it to really get the hydration quality out of it.
I have used the L'oreal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Mask several times in the past, when my long hair has started feeling a bit too dry or frizzy at the ends. Each time I have found that this mask does a great job at restoring moisture and shine to my hair.
This product comes in a fantastic screw-top tub containing a generous amount of product - probably 3-5 masks' worth for long-haired gals like me. It smells really nice - just your typical salon-product scent - and the scent lingers in your hair throughout the day. I have received several compliments about the fragrance of my hair after using this mask! After use my hair is definitely more smooth, shiny, and nourished.
The only reason why I have stopped purchasing this product is because the company tests on animals, and I am generally moving into cruelty-free alternatives instead.
I tried this a while ago as my go-to hair mask had sold out. While it did smell nice, I can't say that I noticed much of a difference in the smoothness of my hair. If anything it just felt as though I had shampooed and conditioned my hair.
This mask comes in a decent size white tub with a red screw on lid, I found it quite hard to use especially in the shower when you've got some product on your hands and you're trying to screw the lid back on. The mask has a nice flowery smell to it which I liked smelling on my hair, but I'm not sure it worked as well as it should of for me. It didn't feel like it repaired my hair and give it as much moisture as I would want when using a mask. I continued to use it though instead of a conditioner after shampooing my hair.
This product is one of my favourites in the loreal elvive series although I have not tried them all I really took to the smell of this product. The texture is creamy and thick enough and it does seem to help make the hair feel soft and silky I am not really sure it can repair the hair but in terms of smoothing it out yes it can and restore hydration to the hair but if you use too much it can feel like you want to re wash pretty soon as the product residue may stay in if you do not rinse much. I do not like that this company tests on animals though its really cruel. the smell of this product can stay in your hair and make you want to smell it. I like the conditioner to this product too and a little goes a fair way it is an ok price I guess for a 300ml
I love a good hair mask, and this one is my go-to to replenish the moisture levels when I have lightened my hair, as my hair tends to go particularly dry when lightening
The container itself is awkward to handle in the shower, and the product is rather slippery, so getting the lid back on is hard unless you can get product into your hair and then rinse your hands. A tube would have been better
I apply to towel hair, leaving it on for 5 minutes. The results are that I'm left with silky smooth hair, that's got some added shine back, and less frizz. Straight after lightening I use this every 2-3 days for about 10 days (often skipping shampooing, and just wetting my hair and applying the mask), until I feel my hair has returned to it's pre-lightening condition!
When my hair isn't so dry, this can be a mask that's too rich and oily for my hair, so recommend it only when you need to give your hair a really good does of moisturising and extra shine!
As other cruelty free brands step up with a good hair mask I'd likely give this one up, but for a hair rescue type product, it ticks the boxes for me.
I am the biggest fan of the other Loreal hair mask that comes in the caramel coloured tub, so you should have seen the look on my face when I saw that wee plastic tag with 'temporarily unavailable' placed where my beloved hair mask usually sits. Hey look on the bright side Bex it's gotta be good everyone else loves it too that's why it's 'temporarily unavailable' still what do I do? So I scan the hair care section for another favourite and wouldn't ya know it they don't stock it! So I found this and thought well why not it's probably identical to the other one its just a different coloured tub right?
So the White tub is narrow at the bottom and widens towards the lid, making the opening of the tub quite wide which is perfect for scooping out the product.
The formula of the mask is so thick and rich i instantly think this is going to work wonders for my mop, I have this thing where the thicker the mask the more moisture it will add to my hair and more repair it will do. This has a slightly fruit slightly clean fresh scent, It's nice but nothing distinctive.
So I scoop out a good sized amount maybe the size of half a tennis ball, and massage it through my mane. It glides through my hair easily and it feels great as I massage it through, I let it sit for a good 10 minutes to soak in.
When I start rinsing it out my high hopes I have for this product diminish. After its all washed out my hair feels like it has just been conditioned with an average conditioner. And once it's completely dried my hair feels dry and straw like, unlike its sister in the caramel tub. I'm so disappointed with the results I've tried it twice with the same results and I've had to add lots of oil to it too. I won't be repurchasing and next time I will patiently wait for the caramel tub to become 'available'
