I put it through my hair around 3 days ago. Despite having sensitive skin, I did not experience any irI received this box dye as part of a trial team and chose the shade ultra ash brown.ritation or burning from this product, and the application process was very easy! I was left with shiny, soft, and supple hair after washing out the dye with the shampoo and mask in the box. The colour is intense and vibrant. My hair does not feel dry or fried at all which is nice! Overall, I am really impressed by this dye and I will be repurchasing it in the future.

This hair colour is better than what I would use usually. I got the Deep Ash Brown Colour and it turned out fantastic. I thought I would need 2 dyes due to the length of my hair but nope it was perfect. I applied the colour for a total of 30 minutes, once washed and dried, felt so soft and silky. It’s now been a couple of days since I dyed my hair and the colour is still as vibrant as ever. Would definitely recommend this to everyone. No overwhelming ammonia smell either! This is going to be my new go to hair dye for sure.
Wow. This was amazing. I have always used this colour in another brand but this is exactly the colour on the box and looks great. It takes a little longer to do the process as you need to leave the final stage on your hair longer but its worth it. You get a a bottle of anti-brassiness purple mask to use weekly to keep the brassiness away. I wish it had a conditioning treatment in the box as my hair was a bit dry after treatment. I would highly recommend this. Its is more expensive than other brands but the result is worth it.
This product arrived in a typical colouring kit box. The colouring ingredients are easily mixed in the squeeze bottle and create a creamy liquid that flows well. It was very easy to apply and even comes with a unique comb applicator that made doing mid-lengths a breeze. I did occasionally get a whiff of ammonia, but only a few times when I had the bottle right under my nose, and once on my hair I didn't notice it. My hair is below collarbone length, although very fine, and the one bottle was more than enough for a root to tip application. I noticed that during the processing time the colour remained slightly purple tinged showing its got a good dose of anti-brass ingredients. I chose level 7.11, with a natural level of 5 to 6, and plenty of grey around my hair line. This was absolutely true to colour on my greys, and also on the blonde ends from some highlights a few years ago. My natural hair ALWAYS throws gold, I was a bit rose gold as a kid and hairdressers are always challenged with getting highlights up enough. I'm thrilled to say my darker hair has landed in a very slightly warm 7, which for me is pretty amazing. It's not a horrible brassy orange which is what I've received in the past at salons, so for a home colour I was impressed with the results.
This is such a great option for those wanting good grey coverage, but without ending up with an awful shade of orange on your natural hair.
Tips: Follow instructions and remember to cover clothing and maybe move the shower curtain out of harms way!
I have never used Loreal before this was my first time. I really liked the packaging. The instructions were written on the box too. I have dark brown hairs. My previous dye was hazel brown so I had a slight tint of it. I followed all the instructions carefully. Didn’t have any itching or irritation. After washing and blow drying my hair the hair color didn’t change much. This was already mentioned on the box that what base color would have the effect of this dye so it was as expected. But it did cover my grey hairs yaayyy. My hairs were smooth, silky and shiny which made me fall in love with ‘em. I highly recommend this product if you wanna play safe ;)
I have been using box colours for over a couple of decades now, and in the past few years have to colour my roots every 4 to 5 weeks. I have used quite a few different brands like Schwarzkopf, Garnier & L’Oreal but this is the first time I have used a product with a shampoo as part of the process. I tried 5.11 Ultra Light Brown, a triple care colour with a protective cool colouring Cream, a post colour purple shampoo and an anti brass purple mask, all in one care for scalp & hair as well colouring the hair. It was easy to use, and one of the best products I have used. My hair turned out a bit darker than I expected, but similar to the end result shown on the pack. There was a comb attachment with the colour. I didn’t use this as I found it pours too much colour in one go. I am quite pleased with this product. I have never achieved 100% grey coverage with any other products. Not only that, after washing, my hair feel really soft and silky and so much healthier, not to mention the shine. This is the first time I have received so many compliments after a colour job. A few people said I looked much younger!
Tips: Tip: Use a brush as it helps to cover hair evenly and makes it easy to apply the colour.
I suffer from grey hairs and am not at the stage of life where I am ready to embrace them! I am a frequent home hair dyer as I do not have the funds to get them professionally coloured every six weeks so am always happy to try a new hair dye. Strand tests are non existent and I'm a 'dye it and hope for the best' sort of person who is happy to have her greys disappear!
The dye was quick and easy to mix up and apply. I didn't use the attachment, preferring to just put it straight onto my roots and then apply it down the hair shaft. I left it in for the stated 30 minutes and then used the purple shampoo which took away any dye smell. The conditioner left my hair feeling silky smooth and was easy to brush afterwards.
When my hair dried I was impressed with the coverage and the colour... and not a grey hair in sight! I could feel that this was a great quality hair dye (trust me, I've used some duds in my time) and would highly recommend this product.
First of all, I love the clean looking packaging and I really love that this product gives you a shampoo and conditioner! And not just any shampoo and conditioner, but a purple shampoo and conditioner to protect the colour, which is fantastic! It also comes with a comb nozzle that attaches to the bottle and it is great for applying to roots initially but I think the original nozzle is easier to use. It is a little bit runnier than other hair dye products I have used in the past but that is fine, just have to be a bit more careful with drips. I have long hair, just below my shoulders, and one box was enough so that is definitely a win for me. The coverage was great, hid all my greys, and my hair was super shiny afterwards and the shampoo and conditioner smell really nice. The smell of the dye was quite strong but hair dye always is and it was not as bad as a lot of the cheaper options out there. At $23.99, it is one of the more expensive hair dye products on the shelf but when you take into consideration the quality shampoo and conditioner and you think of the salon prices, then it is not half bad. I would recommend this product and I will use it again.
Tips: Use vaseline on the skin around you hairline and neck so you can easily wipe away any dye afterwards and avoid skin stains.
My hair is originally black, fine texture, has been dyed multiple time by boxed dye at home. I had purple black, and then rose gold on top so that it looked a bit patchy (the rose gold lighten the end and the root but not the middle part that i had purple black) I chose ash brown in the trial, hopefully to blend the color evenly and it did exacly what i wanted. The L'Oreal Paris Excellence Cool Creme - ash brown shade has a neutral brown on darker hair. I think it would look more ashy on lighter hair color. The dye smell is not as strong as other brands. It comes with purple/blue shampoo and mask which is a bonus. Overall i would do this color again if im looking for a professional hair color look. But i will try different color to experiment more with the colo range.
Tips: Applying hair dye from top to bottom, front to back so that it will process nicely and evenly.
Really easy to use did find it quite runny when applying. Smell plesent. Love the colour. Would probably use this again.
Tips: Plenty of newspaper down as I found this quite runny.
