Overall I think this is a really great product with a reasonable price tag. It did not break me out and looks really smooth once applied. It reminds me of some more high end foundations that I have used in the way it sits on the face. Pros: Good coverage (medium buildable), wore well didn’t wear off too quickly on my combination/oily skin, sat really nicely it was not cakey at all. Cons: Colour range could be improved, I sit between two colours so to get the best match I need to mix two.

Tips: I applied this with a synthetic dome shaped brush and it gave a really good finish that was a medium cover.
This is one of the first matte foundations I have tried so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The consistency of the foundation is quite creamy and thick. I blended it in my hand before application to warm it up but I’m not sure this was necessary. Additionally I used a sponge to blend it out. The colour was a good match for my skin tone and didn’t oxidise over time.
The foundation promises 24hours, it wears pretty well but it I did find it broke down a bit over time )didn’t stay matte) however, the coverage remained well.
I was really disappointed in this product, the shade itself was slightly too light- which is not the products fault. However I found it didn’t blend well into my skin and sat on top making it very uneven and flakey. I tried a few different ways to apply the product and found using my fingers was the best way- but still not great. It’s quite thick and a small amount goes a long way. I found if I applied it to my oily/ sweaty mid arvo skin it worked better and kept my skin matte. I ended up having to mix it with some bb cream to make it more blendable- which worked well. The product size does seem small so I can imagine it wouldn’t last long.
Thanks to Beauty Review for sending this to me to test!
First impressions: Looks like a standard L'oreal foundation tube with a soft-touch finish, colour on the outside appears to be the colour of the product showing through, not fragranced (although not an unpleasant scent to the product).
Wears pretty well, with buildable coverage up to full. I used it also as a spot correction and blended out on lighter-wear days. Blends out well with both a brush and a damp sponge.
Definitely didn't wear for 24 hours, more like a patchy 6-8 with powder and setting spray. Broke down slightly with the oils from my skin, despite varying primers used over the test (Bobbi Brown, Becca, Maybelline and Benefit- also without primer), and despite powder, but still held up fairly well, and didn't look too patchy (probably also not helped by the fact that I touch my face without thinking ALL the time).
This is a great foundation for the L'oreal foundation price point, and it behaves comparably on my skin to more expensive foundations that I've tried, so I'll definitely finish it out, and maybe even re-purchase it when I'm done!!
Tips: Primer is great for a full coverage foundation to give a god base, and protect from some of the oils from your skin for longer wear.
No SPF declared in this one, so don't skip your sunscreen!!
I was a bit excited about this trial but definitely picked the wrong colour for my skin which was far too light (bad judgement on my part).
I love how it comes in a squeezey tube, much easier to get the product out without wasting too much as you do with glass bottles.
The formula is easy to apply, i tried with brushes and fingers and it works the same. Because of the mismatch in colours i used this product on the areas i wanted highlighted and then mixed with my current foundation i used into the other areas.
Its definitely not full coverage and It didnt seem to withstand our 30 degree temps here at the moment and ended up creasing and sliding all over my face. Perhaps better with a setting powder and spray?
Id be keen to try this again in winter when my face is a bit paler and its not as hot.
Tips: Definitely prep your face first, primers are a must with this.
Ok! This foundation I put through the ringer. It does what it says. I went to the pools for a spa to see how it would last with steam and heat - it was good! It definitely lasts all day which is nice, no noticeable patches. I did find it a little thicker than I like which is common with long lasting foundations, I’ve found. Overall it does last and the texture is creamy. I would use it again but only when I need something that’s going to stay put for an event etc.
Tips: Definitely blend fast. Sets quite fast. Use a finishing powder
I found this to be a perfect everyday foundation and really good for oily skin. The texture is thick and mousse like, but once it is on the face it blends in really nicely. This foundation I would say is medium coverage not full coverage. Despite this, the foundation is buildable. I found that despite it clinging to any dry patches, it does do what is says it would and cancels out redness. And my face remained somewhat matte at the end of the day. So a win in my eyes! Would recommend.
Tips: I also found that it does slightly oxidise, so wearing or getting a shade lighter may be better.
This really isn't my cup of tea and it didn't meet my expectations either which I am very disappointed about. I was hoping that this foundation was full coverage and enough to cover my imperfections on my face. This foundation claims to last up to 24 hours hiding imperfections for a smooth clear complexion. Sadly this was not the case for me. It hardly covered my red birthmark under my eye, the foundation also felt heavy and cakey all day. It also didn't last more than 6--8 hours before starting to come off in places. I tested this out in hot, warm and cooler weather. In the warmer weather it sweated off basically and in the cooler weather it wasn't too much better either. I found the formula pretty drying and uncomfortable once applied which disappointed me. I have tried to apply this with a brush and beauty blender to see if that made a difference - which sadly it did not. I also cant stand the smell of the foundation- It smells very chemically / worse than a strong sunblock sort of smell.
This foundation retails for $39.99 which for what it is, I believe is not worth it to me, and each tube has 30ml of foundation in it. One thing I like about this foundation is the tube it comes in and how you can control how much product that comes out.
I was really excited to try this foundation because I have the infallible matte one already and I love it, it’s one of my favourite foundations so I was very excited to see how the new formula compared to the old one, and I genuinely think it’s better, it feels super light on the skin, and this shade is prefect for me. I love the finish it has and it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a full face of foundation like it genuinely feels so lightweight and it looks rather natural, but it’s very full coverage. Like I have freckles and I hate them showing through my make up and this covered them you could only very slightly see them through the make up which is a big thing for me being so insecure about them. I honestly would highly recommend this foundation and a little bit goes along way which is always amazing when it comes to foundation.
So I’ll just put it out there that L’Oréal hasn’t always been my favorite brand. But this wee foundation is fantastic. Think I picked the slightly wrong colour, a little too light for my summer skin but will be perfect in winter.
So this is actually a matte foundation. Which I love. Some say they are but they totally aren’t. This has great coverage, doesn’t make my skin dry out and actually lasts. The packaging is cute - nice and little to fit in the make up bag, handbag or even pocket. And you only need to use a tiny bit at a time. About the size of a pea.
Tips: Squeeze out a little then see how you go. A little goes a long way and you don’t wanna waste this beauty.
