This foundation is very very matte. Even on my oily/combination skin it can look a little dry and cakey. however, with a moisturising primer it looks so flawless and beautiful! The foundation lasts all day long and still looks flawless at the end of the day. I love it!

Tips: If your skin is already quite dry, use a moisturising primer as it will help the foundation sit better
I recently brought this as I love L'Oreal products especially foundations. I have been looking for a matte foundation for a while now as I prefer a matte finish especially in the cooler months so I saw this at farmers and decided to buy it and give it a go.
When I applied this (as when I use all matte foundations) I always apply a primer first so it doesn't dry out my skin. I applied a primer by Moisture Mist first as a base. I then applied the foundation using my flat top kabuki brush. The foundation applies like a dream and glides on my face, the primer helps a lot too. I haven't tried it with out primer as I don't want it to be drying. It lasts all day and all night. The coverage is medium and buildable and the finish is quite flawless which I like. I love how nice this makes my skin look all day long. Its so easy to blend too.
I haven't found a flaw in this foundation. Its easy to apply and easy to remove. It works on my sensitive skin and the coverage is amazing! I recommend giving this a go!
Tips: Try using a primer first so the foundation doesn't dry out. It makes it easy to glide on as well.
L'oreal is one of my favourite mid-priced brands, I've tried many of their foundations, lipsticks and blushes and been impressed in the past. When I heard people raving about how great this foundation was, I couldn't wait to try it.
First of all, I'm a lover of full coverage foundations- Estée Lauder double wear, MAC prolong wear and the list goes on. I had heard this was as good, but for a fraction of the price. So, this sold me!
The tube super stylish, black and sleek. It is made of plastic, and is sturdy. I like that it's not breakable, and can easily be popped in my bag. The tube reminds me of the new MAC prolong wear nourishing foundation- it is just so similar.
My skin tends to be of the dry type, although my skin has improved greatly lately due to the skincare I've been using. So, I would say it's currently normal.
As usual, I always use my moisturiser and wait for it to dry and then apply primer. Afterwards I apply this foundation by using my RT brush. Ip the formula is nice and buildable on my skin.
It's so easy to apply and it feels comfortable on the skin. The consistency feels nice and it doesn't feel too thick, like some high coverage foundations do.
Although it covers imperfections so well it feels lightweight on your skin and it really lasts during the day. I really loved the beautiful finish it gave to my skin. It gave me such a flawless, matte finish that just made my skin look so nice.
BUT...unfortunately, after using this for awhile, it just doesn't agree with my sensitive skin and I had a reaction. This was so disappointing as it's such a lovely foundation, and if it had agreed with my skin it would be getting five stars.
I got this on special at makeup.co.nz & was happy when it arrived. I have the shade rose beige & will have to go up a shade during summer or load on the bronzer & contour to keep with my summer tan I develop. A tube that's partially see thru but has its brands logo & writing on the remainder of the tip which is red & black. The lid is black of which the tube sits flat on. The lid is a screw top & the dip ender is a tiny nozzle that's quite thin, not typical of any foundation I've ever come across. Contents: A thin liquid that requires shaking prior to use to ensure the oil substance is mixed otherwise it comes out quite oily. Other then that the fluid is thin. Effects this liquid is light to touch & means it's also light weight it claims to have a matte finish with full coverage. The coverage is a medium to full being that it's buildable for full coverage. It doesn't feel velvety at all but the appearance it gives is a matte finish. I found it leaves a nice finish and is easy to blend either with a blending sponge or a stipple brush. When applying concealer onto the face, the concealer doesn't move the foundation at all. So that's a plus for this foundation. Whilst layer on bronzer, contour, highlighter & blush these all blend in seamlessly without interrupting the foundation another advantage. For the stay power it seems to hold up to the humidity of spring & sat quite well I actually spent half a day in the direct sunlight and only a slight glisten of my face from the sun exposure & around my nose area needed a bit of touch up with my setting powder also where my sunglasses had been sitting on my cheeks just needed a slight touch up. Then I went on to cool tea for our kids club which involved some very hot humid temperatures of both the ovens& the industrial dishwasher. I went home after 8pm & still had a good coverage with now a dewy appearance. So this foundation has some good stay power with both the matte finish & the 24hours claims I can't guarantee 24hours due to not wearing it for that long but I'll give it a A+ for the performance it did for my fotd. What I'd like is a pump bottle or nozzle at the end of the tube for dispensing it would make ime product that much better.
I wanted to try matte foundation after hearing how good a matte finish is. I got my bottle through Trade me because I wanted to get a bargain for this foundation. I'm on a foundation hunt, Im looking for something that I can put on and it could last me all day without fading out. Also wanting to hide my uneven skintone and dark circles. I have seen alot of make up artists online using this and I wanted to find out whether I would like it or not.
This foundation comes in a a sturdy foundation tube. It has the Loreal labelling it looks very current. It comes in a 35ml bottle which isn't very big at all. The colour I got is Honey 30. On the back of the bottle it says its a medium texture with a high coverage. It has an example on the back of this tube of how to apply it. I agree that the texture is medium and it is liquid. No scent at all to.
With application I find it smooth out nicely with both a brush and blender. I like to try both depending on how I feel. This claims its 24 hours. It didnt last me twenty four hours. I did try and test it on several occasions and it did fade out for me. It had a slight powder finish to it after a few hours. Im still searching for my miracle foundation. I think it is highly priced for a drug store brand. I really wanted it to work for me. I definately won't be getting it again. Even though it did'nt work for me it might work for you.
I asked the shop assistant to recommend something that lasts and stops oily-ness. This foundation has plenty of colours on offer so shouldnt be hard to find the colour you prefer. I got the Rose Beige one, there is one colour lighter than this but I prefer to look a tiny bit less white. This colour was perfect for my skin colour. In regards to my oily skin, the foundation conquered it! In regards to lasting all day, it does last but i discovered that i didnt like the coverage as much. my old make up was able to hide my dark under eyes much better. I was worried I would use it quickly because i looks like a small tube but has so far surprised me so far lasting 3months.
Tips: Give yourself enough time to apply. I found in comparison to my old routine it makes a bit longer as i use a brush to apply
I think this is similar to EL Double Wear!
I like it and it works quite well. I do have dry skin and without a primer, this can stick to my dry patches. I use a silicone primer beforehand and I find this works great for me. It lasts all day and doesn't melt off. I prefer a matte finish and I'm only a tiny bit greasy around my nose after a super long day at work.
One problem, why doesn't Farmers stock the lightest shade?! I haven't found it in NZ so I got it sent from the UK. I don't understand why they would chose to not stock it because I think there's a lot of fair ladies out there looking for a good foundation and '10 Porcelain' isn't even that light.
I do really like this product but if you're very fair like me, don't think the lightest shade at Farmers will be ok. It isn't actually the lightest shade in the range.
YES!!! Finally found something that gives amazing coverage, that lasts well throughout the day. I use to swear by Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, but now I prefer to use L'oreal Infallible Pro Matte. I apply it several ways, I use a flat top kabuki brush for a more full coverage look or I use my beauty blender for a more medium coverage. I do find I have to moisturise well before applying as it can cling to dry patches. I use a combo of primers underneath the foundation, Bareminerals neutralizing to combat the reddness on my cheeks and Too Faced Primed & Poreless and I find the foundation goes on top of these primers nice & smoothly. And when I don't want a so matte looking finish I add my Smashbox Studio Skin Hydrating 15 hour wear Foundation to the L'oreal Infallible Pro Matte for a more Demi-Matte/ Satin finish which I love.
Tips: Moisturise well!!
After hearing so many you tubers go on about how amazing this foundation was I finally gave in and purchased a tube myself. Note the one the you tubers rave on is not the same formulation as the one you can purchase here and I think the overseas formulation might be a bit better than this.
I wanted to try as it claims to last for 24 hours and is matte.
It comes in a nice little tube with a small nozzle which is good, as it means you don't squeeze it and a heap of product oozes out!
It's quite easy to see how much is left in the tube as most of the tube is transparent.
Price wise, it's not too bad, especially compared to double wear which some say this can be a dupe for.
I choose shade 20 Sand which was a pretty good match for me over winter, not so much for summer.
The best way I found to apply it was with a brush or beauty blender - both were equally as easy to apply and seemed to produce the same result.
The formulation is fairly liquid but not too liquid, which I like.
For my oily skin it wasn't too bad but I won't purchase again as it definitely does not last 24 hours - I think it could claim to last around 7-8 hours. By the end of the work day I can start to notice it sliding around my face big time. It came off my nose and chin the quickest as those are the places I seem to touch the most. It improves if you set it, but I feel with a matte foundation you shouldn't have to set it.
Coverage wise, huge fail - this is not a heavy coverage foundation as stated on the tube. It's medium at best!
All in all it's not bad, but for me, it's not good enough to repurchase.
I love this foundation. I have extremely oily skin, to the point that throughout the day I have to constantly blot my face & re apply my powder. This stays on, stays matte, controls shine & makes my skin look amazing & doesn't run off throughout the day. The coli=our suits me really well. Nothing bad to say about this foundation. I LOVE IT!!!!
