One thing zoom sessions under Covid lockdowns has emphasised, is how quickly our roots start showing! Fortunately I keep good stocks of hair dye and also L'Oreal Paris Magic Retouch. I have auburn (and grey) hair. In between re-dyes, for a couple of weeks I use the Magic Retouch Auburn to disguise the regrowth, and it does a perfect job. It takes perhaps 5 minutes max - a spray up the centre part & at edges and anywhere else that might be seen depending on my hairstyle- and I'm feeling confident and 10 years younger. A can is around $20 at the supermarket, but worth it for the instant transformation. Comes in about 5 different colours.

Tips: Keep a damp cloth handy to wipe off any over spray on skin or vanity/sink & drape a towel over your clothes to protect them.

I love this product! It's a must-have in my set bag for cover-up greys or regrowth on background talent. I've also given one to my mum as she doesn't want to colour here hair anymore but her grey is only in one small section so this product is perfect for her.
