This product comes in a handy aerosol can and the spray is used to cover the grey hairs from regrowth in between colours. I had the blonde colour and I used it on my hair after a month since I'd had a colour done. The roots were just starting to show. The spray came out a bit a spurt and it took a bit of technique and several tries to get it going correctly on my hair. It does stain if it gets on your face or elsewhere so you need to be careful with applcation. The result was very good, it covered the grey, This is a good product to use if you want to stretch the time in between your colours, I would buy this again.

Tips: Allow sufficient time to have a proper go at using this.
I absolutely loved this product! I have light blonde hair with grey roots just starting to be obvious and the blonde colour spray hid these perfectly. It was very simple to apply and the fact you could see it instantly concealing the greys as you sprayed was great and allowed you to know how much to apply. I even had my hair cut after I had used this and the hairdresser said she would never have known I had used a product to conceal grey roots, that it had blended perfectly with my natural hair colour. I will definitely be purchasing this again and recommending it to all. Thank you very much for the opportunity to try this!! A definite winner in my eyes.
Tips: Don’t be heavy handed, use sweeping motions for even coverage.
This little blue can is the answer to regrowth issues!
I have greys coming through in my regrowth which basically means I'm finding myself in the salon more often.
Magic Retouch emits a fine but quite forceful spray that settles on the roots and somehow seamlessly blends into my hair colour.
It doesn't run in the rain (seriously, spring, what are you doing to us?!) but comes out easily when you wash your hair.
This is one of those simple products that really you just need to know two things. 1. It works. 2. You won't know how you lived without it.
I'm one of those people who isn't too bothered by the grey regrowth unless I have somewhere to go and I'm going to be seen by people who aren't used to mum-bun-me.
I've used the other big root spray on the market, and like it. But this blows it out of the water. It's a really easy way to hide greys, it gives full coverage and you don't need too much. I've found it lasts longer than the other one I've used.
I like the shade range, particularly the many browns, it's nice to have other choices than brown and dark brown!
It washes out really easily, but doesn't transfer to pillows or bedding.
Great product.
I hate my grey hair as I spot one and then 50 appear to have a party with it. I did contemplate dyeing my hair grey but have been advised by my hairdresser and others to keep dyeing my hair so I am currently following their advice. And so, my battle with my grey hairs continue.....
I don't like to overdye my hair and usually let my roots show through until it's time to dye all of it. The roots don't usually bother me too much unless I have a special night out. The top of my head and the sides are the most popular party places for my grey hairs and they do like to stand out and be seen! I was so excited to try L'Oreal Paris Magic Retouch. The nozzle looks like a mousse would come out but a fine spray hair colour comes out instead. For me, this spray is perfect. It's not permanent or harmful and washes out when you shampoo your hair. This means when you have a special occasion and you want those grey hairs gone, L'Oreal Paris Magic Retouch is there for you! It dries in one minute and is water-resistant (I can back this up as my hair got wet and the colour remained).
L'Oreal Paris Magic Retouch comes in a nifty 75ml can that would easily fit in your handbag. If you're looking for a quick, easy and temporary solution to covering your grey hairs then I highly recommend Magic Retouch!
Tips: Don't spray too close to your head otherwise, it will look patchy and you'll cover lots of skin!
My hair is sunkissed blonde, albeit with a little help from the bottle! Which means when my salt and pepper regrowth comes through its blooming obvious!
I was a bit skeptical that a spray on blonde could ever look natural - but it actually does! A quick spray down the root line refreshes my regrowth and eliminates and trace of grey. It doesn't fully mask the darker hairs, but it seems to help them blend in. A regrowth blurrer if you like.
I think price dependant this could become a staple in my hair care routine - it'll save salon trips and is a great confidence booster.
This arrived in the nick of time as I had quite a few grey hairs on the sides of my head that had come through as my colour job had faded. I received the blonde colour magic retouch which had quite a golden hue to it which blended perfectly in with my blonde/brown coloured highlights. It comes in a 75ml spray can with a fine diffusion tip which gives a precise application and instant coverage to the area that needs covering. The can is light and small so would be perfect if you were travelling away. The colour lasted through 3-4 rinses in the shower before I shampooed it out and has 10 shades to choose from ranging from black to blonde so something for everyone. I think it retails around $18-20 NZD which I believe is good value for money. A great product that I would use again.
Tips: You would probably need someone to apply to the back of the head unless you had eyes there (like most mums) :-)
I was lucky enough to be chosen for this trial, thanks Beauty Review.
Don't those pesky grey hairs just ruin your look? They are so annoying and really stand out, especially if your natural hair colour is dark. My hair suits the colour cool brown perfectly.
To use this spray is super easy but make sure your aim is good.
The instructions will tell you to wash, dry and style your hair and then you spray at where those greys are. Hold the can about 30cm away from your hair and try not to get your ear like I did! Luckily it washed off easily. The colour will be dry in one minute and will last in your hair until you shampoo it out, so you could have a great greyless hair style for a good few days.
I loved the results, not a shiny grey in sight which for me is a real win. They say it can last up to 25 applications so I feel it is great value for money.
I was lucky enough to be sent this as part of a trial. I’ve just turned 40 and have pesky grey hairs that crop up in between hair salon visits.
The colour I chose was cool brown. I have ombré hair so very dark roots and quite blonde lengths so the greys are really noticeable, and cool brown was a perfect match for my roots.
The worst section is on one side of my temple where these little short grey lengths just keep appearing!!! This was the area I most wanted to target as it’s the most noticeable.
The product is in a short spray bottle with a narrow tube nozzle (think WD40ish). The instructions are simple - short sprays about 10cm away from the hair. It’s meant to do 25 applications, but will obviously change depending on how many greys you want to cover.
The first time I used it I sprayed too long and too close to the skin and ended up with a massive blotch on my scalp. It was easy enough to remove with a damp cloth, with no skin staining - phew! After a couple of trials I worked out the best way to apply with no staining.
The results were instant and awesome! My greys just seemed to melt away, I couldn’t detect any colour residue in my hair and it all looked really natural. The colour lasted until the next wash, and didn’t irritate my skin at all.
This is definitely going to be a permanent fixture in my bag of tricks!
Tips: Use a comb to position the hair the way you want it to get the best coverage. This also works like a mini dry shampoo spritz!
First time I try Loreal Magic Retouch, and I’m converted! I tried it on my hair regrowth, and instantly it covers all the grey hair. Not much effort at all! I will definitely use it again. Very good for people in a hurry and don’t have time for that hair salon appointment or diy hair colouring at home.
Tips: I used it as per instruction, and instantly it covers the grey parts. Even for the area where I missed when I had my DIY hair colouring at home. To avoid stains on clothes and skin, i usually wear an old t-shirt, and cover my neck and hands with gloves and paper towel. Spray about 10 cm from the area you want to cover, and make sure to shake it well before application. It’s so easy to do, and great result too!
