My skin is on the combination oily side. I have large pores, particularly on my nose and I have a lot of redness, acne scars and uneven skintone. I thought this serum would be good at brightening my skin and helping to fade the acne scars and redness. Overall this was a nice serum to use, but I didn’t see much difference to my skintone.
I have been using the serum for over a month. I have sensitive skin so I introduced this slowly into my skin as vitamin c and salicylic acid might be a bit harsh for my skin. I used the serum one a day at night for 7-10 days and then increased the usage to twice a day, morning and night. I applied this underneath my moisturisers. Even though I did not see any change in my uneven skintone, but skin does feel smooth after using it. I think my pores are also smaller. So I will continue to use it as I have a lot of redness which will take time to fade.
I found this product easy to use. The glass bottle is thick and opaque which means the product inside is protected well (vitamin c has a short shelf life if exposed to the light). The applicator is a dropper and I used two drops for my whole face. The scent was fresh and almost had a slight citrus scent.
Overall I will continue to use serum to see if I can any better results with fading my acne scars.
As someone without a regular skincare routine, this review opportunity seemed like a good one to find out if this product would work!
My first thoughts were that the serum comes in a simple but elegant package, with a dropper top for easy application. The initial scent is orange-y and pleasant, but the lingering smell was not as nice after it sat on my face for a while.
I have now used this consistently for around 5 weeks, morning and night, according to the directions of 2-3 drops applied and gently massaged in after washing my face. It applies smoothly and feels good on the skin, just very slightly tacky as it dries.
While I had some hopes this would make a difference, I unfortunately haven't seen any noticeable improvement in my skin. It is maybe a little brighter than normal... if you stand back and squint a bit!
Since I haven't noticed much difference, I will use the rest of this bottle up, but I wouldn't purchase this product to use again - unless my skin becomes noticeably worse after stopping. On that same note, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're looking for a somewhat nice-smelling serum to add to your skincare routine.
Tips: Don't be fooled by the good smell when first opening... prepare yourself for it to get worse!
