L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Eye Cream Review

I was super excited when I was picked for this review - been using good old faithful products that I reviewed a few years ago and thought this would give me the option to find something new - This regime consisted of: L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Day Cream SPF 15 LOréal Paris Revitalift Night Cream & LOréal Paris Revitalift Eye Cream. Great looking set of these products arrived in nice looking boxes. The day cream has a nice peach colour to it and not to heavy for day wear. The night cream consist of a rich white cream that spreads easily over the face, and I used eye cream sparingly because it is quite thick compared to other eye creams I have used in the past. No overwhelming fragrance that suited me just fine. I did not have to use much of any of these creams as it spread easily onto the face and neck.

I have been using the product close on 3 weeks and still it I have only used a little bit - think these will last for quite a long time and I think it will be good value for the price. Its is pretty affordable as long as you don't go out and buy them all at once. The pretty simple and I liked the presentation - unfortunately again packaging goes to waste (outer packaging) - the white containers easily fit on my dresser. I think that using the products for longer will help to reach its full potential, I don't think it can be reached in only a few weeks - its not a miracle cream that have made my wrinkles magically disappear unfortunately but I'm still holding out for a miracle :)

Positive: Great container looks and feels impressive. The cream was rich and unctious so felt great applying around the eye area. Negative: I prefer using a tube or pump for my eye cream. I feel you don't use as much. The fragrance again was like cheap air freshener. A fiddly lid the square lid is awkward to close.

Would I use again? I will need to wait a further month to see results as my skin renews. I enjoyed the texture and can deal with the negative if I see results.

The Revitalift Eyecream is in a smaller square jar than the day and night creams, and is the perfect size to be part of the range. Other than the smaller size, it has a red lid (not white) so is easy to see at a glance what product you are choosing.

The cream itself for some reason felt slightly ‘lighter’ to me than the day and night cream, and absorbed beautifully. The instructions say to apply gently from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner, tapping with the fingertips. This is the first time I have seen instructions like this, I’ve always been told to use the ring finger and go from outer to inner eye. I’m unsure if the tapping creates a different reaction, or if just to ensure you’re not pulling at the delicate skin, but either way it works. The cream seems to be unscented, which I actually liked, and it never created any irritation or discomfort with use.

As for results – I was pleasantly surprised. The fine lines around the outer corner of my eye, and the delicate skin below my eye have improved, with lines reducing or disappearing, and everything seems more plump, with no sagging.

Overall I would happily use this product again. It’s a great price point to get results.

Eye creams. Hmm. Are they just a day cream in a smaller, more expensive jar?

I started using this eye cream somewhat negatively, due to my preconception of eye creams in general. L'Oreal apparently sensed my cynicism and decided to blow me away with the first use.

The texture is rich but light - and its definitely not the same as either the day or night cream! The scent is very, very light, which is what I want when a product is going near my eyes!

It melts into the skin and feels instantly cooling and refreshing. My bags/dark circles seemed less puffy. Honestly within 10 minutes I no longer looked like an extra from The Walking Dead.

Over the last four weeks I've noticed a huge difference in my under eye area - less puffy and less dark, and the fine lines around my eyes are definitely looking less, erm, crease-y.

I love this SO much I can't mark it down for being in a pot.

Um, what to say. I don't get eye creams. I don't understand their purpose and I find them fussy.

I don't have any wrinkles or fine lines so I can't report if it actually works or not.

Out of the regime this was the one product I probably wouldn't get again. There was nothing wrong with it, but nothing I really loved about it either. It's a fussy little product, like primer, lip plumpers or highlighters... just a bit too much for me. But I can appreciate that for some people extra little pampering steps with specifically designed products might be considered luxurious. So if this is you - go for it.... but I have an energetic full speed two year old and not enough hours in the day.

I don't usually use eye cream that often (although I know I should) so being part of this trial has forced me to use and I'm so glad it has. The skin around my eye area is quite thin and delicate with wrinkles thrown into the mix so I was in desperate need of a decent eye contour cream. After using L'Oréal Revitalift eye contour cream, I have noticed a huge difference, especially in the particularly delicate skin beneath my eyes. It look and feels much more hydrated and stronger than it did previously. Initially I was only using it at night, but then realised I should have been using it morning and night and I think that helped enormously. I'm really impressed with this eye cream and love how it is easily available at the supermarket for a reasonable price. I'll definitely continue with this eye cream.

A cute jar matching the day and night creams. I found the box to be a little bigger than it needed to be. Again there is good info on the box that is easy to read, and instructions are easy to follow. I didn't notice any scent with this cream which I like. It is thinner than the other two, but I think this is great for the eye area. It's a light cream with a smooth, silky texture. It absorbs quickly and is non greasy. The puffiness around my eyes has minimized, as have most of the fine lines. It has a refreshing feeling and makes my eye area look brighter. You don't need a lot on application so for the price, it will be economical and last quite a while. I would happily pay full price for this and am looking forward to seeing more benefits over the next few weeks.

Definitely think the fine lines around my eyes appear reduced since adding this product to my daily routine. Lovely light cream, didn't notice any particular fragrance. Non-irritating and a little goes a long way. Reasonable price for what it does. Like the design of the pottle but would suggest reducing the amount of plastic wrap and cardboard packaging.

Of the three L'Oreal products I trialled, this was my favourite. I love the chic, but cute, opaque glass pottle with the red top. It matches the range and looks nice sitting on my bathroom counter.

The cream itself has no real scent that I could distinguish, which I enjoyed. It wasn't too thick, nor too thin, and when I dapped it on and around my eye area it melted into the skin quickly.

What has me sold on this product is that it brightens and plumps the under eye area. On the days I applied it in the morning when I looked extra tired it created the illusion of being wide awake. I just looked better.

I didn't notice reduction of wrinkles, but that's okay - I can handle wrinkles if the skin around them is looking fresh and glowing.

Overall I liked this eye cream the best. Comes in a cute little pot which is the perfect size for an eye cream and has a refreshing scent. The cream s quite thick but you only need to use a tiny amount so will last for ages. They recommend to lightly tap the cream under your eyes morning and night to apply. Felt very light and quite refreshing under my eyes after applying and blended in well and left no greasy feeling afterwards. I did feel that it did what it said it did and under my eyes felt and looked to me abit smoother. Will be great to use longer to watch results.
