Oh I’m so on the fence about this one!
Thanks BR for another incredible opportunity to trial an amazing product. I was super stoked to be chosen for this one as I’d trialled the revitalift eye cream and wanted to see how this compared.
As per usual the packaging and instructions with this L’Oreal product are on point. The application instructions for this eye serum are a little more intense than the cream with instructions to massage in 4 times under the eye, once over the eyelid and then on the 6 energising points. It seems a little overkill, but if it works….
The applicator is a plastic wand with 3 stainless steel balls encased in it - the steel balls create a really nice cooling sensation when applying. The plastic casing can grab at the delicate eye area though if you don’t hold it correctly, so it’s something you want to do in front of a mirror. I did find there was a LOT of product applied using such a long wand and perhaps a bit of wastage, although it does say to gently smooth in any excess.
As for results - the instant results are definitely great with a more hydrated, lifted look. The steel balls definitely help tone down any puffiness or dark circles. As for long term improvements - it’s a little too soon to say.
I’m not 100% convinced with the applicator - it just seems a little excessive/gimmicky. But, it’s a product I will keep using to see if it lives up to the hype!
My initial thoughts for this was the wand applicator was cool, felt nice on my skin and easy to use and not waste product - so all ticks from me. The serum feels nice initially but I do find it is quite sticky compared to other eye serums I’ve used which I don’t like about it. Even 30mins later my skin is still sticky to touch: it has a nice cooling effect and helped tired eyes feel more awake. I think it did help with some darkness and dryness under the eyes as week. Overall it was ok but don’t like the stickiness
Tips: Apply then use fingers to gently massage it in to the skin to avoid some residue
