I have been using this twice a day as directed for the last two weeks and unfortunately haven't really seen any difference yet. In fact I think my eyes are actually looking a bit more puffy underneath and my husband commented yesterday I look really worn out!! However, this could be due to sleepless nights also!! (menopause). On the packaging it does state after six weeks use eye lines improve dramatically so I'm hoping this will be the case with me. I also find it tends to feel sticky for quite some time after using and once because I didn't wait for it to dry properly it caused little balls to form when I applied my face primer. However, I do find it feels soothing and cooling when applying and a little goes a long way so the bottle will last a good length of time. The ball applicator massager is an added bonus. Thank you for the opportunity to trial this.

Tips: Apply a good 15 minutes before applying makeup so it has absorbed properly into your skin.
My initial thoughts for this was the wand applicator was cool, felt nice on my skin and easy to use and not waste product - so all ticks from me. The serum feels nice initially but I do find it is quite sticky compared to other eye serums I’ve used which I don’t like about it. Even 30mins later my skin is still sticky to touch: it has a nice cooling effect and helped tired eyes feel more awake. I think it did help with some darkness and dryness under the eyes as week. Overall it was ok but don’t like the stickiness
Tips: Apply then use fingers to gently massage it in to the skin to avoid some residue
Oh I’m so on the fence about this one!
Thanks BR for another incredible opportunity to trial an amazing product. I was super stoked to be chosen for this one as I’d trialled the revitalift eye cream and wanted to see how this compared.
As per usual the packaging and instructions with this L’Oreal product are on point. The application instructions for this eye serum are a little more intense than the cream with instructions to massage in 4 times under the eye, once over the eyelid and then on the 6 energising points. It seems a little overkill, but if it works….
The applicator is a plastic wand with 3 stainless steel balls encased in it - the steel balls create a really nice cooling sensation when applying. The plastic casing can grab at the delicate eye area though if you don’t hold it correctly, so it’s something you want to do in front of a mirror. I did find there was a LOT of product applied using such a long wand and perhaps a bit of wastage, although it does say to gently smooth in any excess.
As for results - the instant results are definitely great with a more hydrated, lifted look. The steel balls definitely help tone down any puffiness or dark circles. As for long term improvements - it’s a little too soon to say.
I’m not 100% convinced with the applicator - it just seems a little excessive/gimmicky. But, it’s a product I will keep using to see if it lives up to the hype!
Tips: Watch how you apply it in the mirror to make sure the plastic casing doesn’t catch at your eye. Keep it in the fridge, or a dark cupboard for maximum cooling to reduce puffiness
I was intrigued by this product and pleased to have been selected to trial it. It promised to help the fine lines around my eyes (yes please!) with the help of a cooling massage provided by the stainless steel balls in a flexible applicator. To be honest, I didn’t see much difference around the eyes, and didn’t especially enjoy the sensation of the product being applied that way. BUT….I also have lines appearing at the corners of my mouth, so a tried the product there and I swear I can see a difference after I’ve applied it. The lines are less noticeable although so far the effect doesn’t seem to last. The glass bottle still has a lot of product left so o will continue to use it up and then decide if I’d purchase again….but focusing on my lip area rather than my eyes.
I was excited to try this eye serum to see how it could reduce the dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. The packaging had very good directions for applying the serum with the beaded applicator. Although I did find the application time consuming compared to other serums I have used previously. The liquid gel spread easily and gave a soothing/cooling feel but it took a little while for it to absorb and left the eye area feeling somewhat tacky. Upon first use I noticed my eye area felt lifted and looked brighter, dark circles were less obvious. Once fully absorbed, makeup could be smoothly applied. Overall I did see great benefits from using this product for just a short time and look forward to seeing continued results. Due to the extra time required for the recommended application and the time it takes for the serum to absorb I am currently unsure if I will continue to buy this product. If the results continue to impress I'm sure I'll make extra time in my routine to accommodate the time needed.
This comes in a glass bottle with a triple roller ball applicator. Make sure the liquid is properly applied before you massage your eye area to reduce friction.
At the time of this trial one of my eyes was puffy and it did help to reduce that as I massaged the area. As for fine lines I didn't really notice much of a difference but it was soothing and moisturising. I also have dark circles but that's genetic so nothing will remove that. You could have this in a fridge and would be beneficial after a long night out.
The liquid is slightly sticky so I recommend dabbing the excess otherwise your eyelids will be sticky as you blink. Also add some eye cream to the area for maximum benefit. The instructions suggest to apply light pressure on six energizing points which is something I've never heard of before but will continue with this to see if I notice any difference.
It works to a point but nothing is a miracle cure for those fine lines. To be honest I love the full face hyaluronic acid serum as it feels lighter and applies beautifully.
Tips: Gently massage each eye four times to reduce puffiness.
I've used a few of the revitalift products now and they are always lovely products to use and this eye serum is no different. It comes in a gorgeous wee glass bottle and is very easy to use and apply. It has these wee ball things that kind of massage your skin as you apply. This one instructed you apply it under the eyes and on the eyelids. It goes on easily, blends in well and does not leave a greasy feel. I did notice it feels quite soothing as you initially apply it. Used consistently I noticed the area under the eye looked slightly less puffy which was a bonus but other than that didn't notice any other significant difference. I would keep using it though as it is a lovely product and a small improvement is still a bonus right.
Tips: Don't use too much on the eyelids or they tend to feel a tad sticky.
I love this for the cooling application. I have not seen a tremendous improvement in my underage circles, however, it feels soothing and cooling and is great for waking up in the morning.
Tips: I am not too keen on the applicator as it is not a sanitary option. I would prefer a serum that you can squeeze out onto your hand.
Love the packaging and the little rollers are nice and feel great in the morning. Serum did not irritate my eyes or dry skin. I have found other eye products can dry my eye area. Wrinkles are not my main eye issue, it did wake my eye area up and may have slightly smoothed out some fine lines? Dark circles just the same. Personally I would prefer something firming for late 30s+ Also slightly sticky so if you don't wear a lot of make up and just a bit of mascara (toddler mama here) then it can make your eyeliner/mascara run.
Tips: Let it really dry before applying eye make up.
Dab rollers around both eyes first and then roll for even application.
I enjoyed using the L’Oréal eye serum. After 2 weeks I didn’t notice any change in my dark circles but I do think it helped to reduce puffiness around the eyes. I will continue to use it may take longer to notice a change with dark eye circles. I found the applicator to be easy to use and following the instructions on the packet were straight forward. I did find the product to be slightly sticky so tended to only use at night. If I was to put make up on after use I would need to wait quite a while.
Tips: You get a lot of product on the applicator so I would put some under each eye and then follow the instructions for use. Otherwise you ended up with too much product.
