I have been using this product for almost 2 weeks now as instructed twice a day. It has a floral smell, not too strong. The smell goes away once the gel is washed of. It has gel consistency, it stings a bit when I apply onto my face. After I rinse and pat dry my face, I feel my face is smoother and more supple. After a week, I can see less pores also. However, I don’t see the brightening effect yet. I will keep using this product until it runs out but I don’t think I will repurchase except if I see the brightening effect in a few more weeks or so.

Reviews
Tips: Ensure you wear spf, my face feels a bit more sensitive when the sun hits.
I purchased this as soon as I saw it on Beaty review! It thought it looked like an amazing product. I purchased it two weeks after my long term exfoliating wash tan out, so I was well overdue to a decent exfoliation! It really does give you what is says. My skin was instantly softer and clearer. I also feel it would be better on the skin compared to using any kind of scrub on your face. I do prefer the normal exfoliating cleansers though. It does take extra effort to wash off. It gives a minty feeling while washing your face, and you will be left with it all day if not washed off properly! The bottle is designed perfectly. You will always be able to get every last drop out!
Tips: The product says it will make your skin more sensitive to the sun, I would recommend using at night time and apply sunscreen on the morning.
First of all, a big thank you for the opportunity to try this lovely product. The tube arrived in the mail and was a delight to touch and see. The packaging was beautiful and it looked like a lot of thought had gone into it as the first impression was a "I mean business" one. No cheap plastic to be seen. The product itself was transparent and had a nice soft fragrance to it though I must admit it did also have some bitter smelling notes to it. Almost like there are strong formulations whose scent has been masked by the sweet smell. Again this could give the impression of this is going to work or scare the skeptics. The first time I used it, I felt a slight tingle on the skin but on washing it off it had done a marvelous job of making my skin feel clean..even the sides of the nose felt totally smooth ( which by the way is only ever achieved by a scrub for me) that impressed me and I was keen to try more. I started using it on a daily basis but I started noticing by skin tingled a lot more and soon little bumps appeared. This made me stagger the use, so I took a break and restarted using it every 2 days followed by a good, effective, calming moisturizer. This worked well for me and I have been able to keep using it. The clean feeling is very worth it. Closing comments - I am 37 years old but I feel this product may be more suited to slightly more mature skin than mine. However with a staggered use, young skin can also reap the benefits.
Tips: Rub the cleaner between your hands with a little water to make it easier to use.
I was lucky enough to recieve this as part of a trial. I have used another skin resurfacing cleanser so was excited to try out another brand.
The tube is functional (and made with less plastic which is always great) and the cleanser is a very thick clear gel consistency with quite a strong scent, I really like it as it reminds me of a fancy day spa. You really only need to use a small amount otherwise it is too thick and doesn't foam up too well. There is a cooling affect which took me by surprise, and due to this it's best to avoid the eye area so for me not great to use in the evening to help remove makeup as it stings a bit. However it does do a grerat job at removing makeup if you can power through the cooling burn!!
My skin felt great, smooth and soft right from the start. After a few days of constant use my skin definitely felt thirsty and needed an extra moisture boost. However reducing use to not every day has stopped this and I have started using only in the morning every few days with better results.
This is a great cleanser, especially for the price point, however as it is recommended for sensitive skin and promotes anti-aging I do find it too drying for consistent use.
Tips: A little goes a long way!
I like the smell of this, reminds me of aloe vera. First time using it I used abit too much, I didn't know it would get quite foaming, so you only need a little bit. Gel consistency and lathers very foamy which made my skin abit dry. It claims to smooth and brighten skin, not sure about brightening but it didn't break me out. I have oily skin and my skin looks dull when it's dry so I don't think I would purchase this again but not too bad and il continue to use up the bottle.
I quite like using the L'Oréal Revitalift gel Wash. The directions recommended using the product twice a day, though I only used it once a day (in the morning shower).
It does a great job at cleansing the face and you only need a tiny bit of cleanser - a little goes a long way with this product.
I was unsure that this product would exfoliate as there were no beads/scrubby stuff - it seemed to exfoliate fine!
I’m not convinced it will assist with anti-aging, I guess time will tell.
I have started to get oily patches on my face (before using this product), which I found reduced (not 100% gone) whilst using this cleanser.
The texture is gel like and feels wonderful when rubbing over face and the aroma is quite sutle.
i got picked to try this. thank you! i have never used anything with glycolic acid before, and having sensitive skin i was a little worried about using it, but i was pleasantly surprised. i have never had the best face care routine, but now that im getting older i really need to take care of my skin. The smell isn't the best, but its not bad either. its very easy to use, wet the face, rub the wash on, and wash it off. pretty easy. you don't need much either, about a pea size amount for the whole face, it goes a long way. the first few times after washing my face it felt pretty good, my skin was very smooth, the next few times i did find my skin was a bit drier, but nothing a day or night moisturizer doesn't fix. i think i will need to use it for a few more weeks to really see a true outcome, i did only get to use this for about a week, but overall my skin is a lot nicer feeling and softer than normal. this will be something i continue to use, at least till ive had enough time to really give it a chance
I'm a fan of the L'oreal Revitalift Laser range and this one was no exception. I was really keen to try a glycolic acid and had heard recently on a podcast that if your skin is slightly sensitive that using acids for short periods like in cleansers was the way to go.
This cleanser has a lovely fresh citrus scent which I love. It applies easily and is a traditional gel texture that foams up nicely. The difference is when you start to take it off. By then you can feel the active ingredients and I start to have a slight warmth - like a pre-tingle lol. Over the period of time that I used it I noticed that my skin was definitely smoothing out a little and seemed a bit brighter.
My only challenge was that because I wear SPF on my face, my face is lighter than my body so I use face tan. Because I'm now using this glycolic acid it takes my face tan off faster.
Part of the trial team, thanks for the opportunity. Attractive red 150ml stand up tube. Matches the rest of the Revitalift line. Surprised by the strong scent when I first used it. Reminds me of something similar to a men's cologne. Doesn't linger long once applied and not unpleasant so didn't mind using it twice a day.
Texture was a gel. Says it was exfoliating but had no scrubby bits which was unexpected. After the first use my skin was visually brighter. Skin was smoother. Having used it twice a day my pores, which is not something I am consciously aware of looked refined. I have enjoyed using this.
Especially as this is not a brand I have purchased in a long time and is the first time I have used a product with Glycolic acid. It was a good experience.
Well imagine my excitement when I got an invite to review the L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser Gel Wash. I have trialed the revitalift range before with great results so was super excited to give this a whirl, especially given the results it promises. The packaging is actually quite generous in size so it was off to a great start as far as value for money goes. The appearance is in line with the rest of the range, intense red in colour which grabs your attention. Now the gel itself is a surprise for me. It promises to exfoliate the skin of dead skin cells but it is a clear thick gel with no exfoliating materials that I would have expected. It then had me wondering how it would remove the dead skin cells with being so smooth in consistency.
I used this wash morning and night. It made more sense to use it while I showered to avoid using excess wash cloths. I squeeze a small amount of the gel on my hand and using circular motions (as the directions suggest) I wash my entire face, making sure I avoid the eye area (again in the directions). I leave it on my face for about a minute to ensure it has time to work then rinse thoroughly afterwards. I have to admit the feeling of during and after using it is slightly burning/cold feeling like it would be after using vicks on your skin. It is very unpleasant. I thought that I would be ok using it considering that it was dermatologically tested to be suitable for sensitive skin.
Despite that I carried on with it to give it the fair test period. It has been over a week since I have been using this and I would have thought that the results would be more apparent. I am finding that my skin is feeling denied of moisture, and flat. I don't have the bright, smoother skin that it said would happen. I use the revitalift anti aging moisturizer after using the wash, just to give it the best possible chance but it was a let down. It may have been my skin type or just the product in general. For me it's a thumbs down. It didn't deliver on results and made my skin worse afterwards. 2/10 all over from me.
Tips: Because it is to be used night and morning, I suggest loading up on a thick moisturizer to help hydrate your skin more.
