L'oreal is a favourite brand, I was lucky enough to receive this from the vault. This night cream comes in a generous 50ml plastic jar with a clear plastic lid and a push down dispenser. The consistency is creamy and easy to apply. I have been applying just a small amount to face and neck sparingly because my skin can be sensitive at times. A bit tingley at first, but settled down after the first week. The scent is nice and not too overpowering. My skin feels hydrated and refreshed, will keep using three times a week, have noticed a slight improvement in skin tone. Haven't noticed a big difference to lines and wrinkles but over time might improve.

Reviews
Unfortunately this burnt my skin. I had a toner and snail serum beneath but still felt burning sensation for 3 days. Had to stop using this. Not for me.
Feels great on the skin, nicely scented and refreshing to apply. Good enough however I didn't see any changes to my wrinkles.
I just started using the brand and am super pleased. I like the idea how the packaging is a press jar. For a first user of the brand , I really do like it, it did leave a tingle on my face after using after two weeks but it started to settle As for seeing a difference on my face it is early days . As I said in the title I’m still trying .
I really did love this night cream!
I particularly like the push down piece which delivered just the right amount of moisturiser each time, it's so clever and so such a simple idea, that solves several pottle-hates of mine!
The cream contains retinol, something I haven't used in a while. I followed the instructions and took it slow - surprising myself with the strength of the retinol in this. I felt the tingle for a few days after the first use and again after the second. I now use this every two days with no discomfort or signs of dryness.
It is helping resurface my skin, it feels incredibly soft to touch and very smooth and even.
I received this product as part of a Beauty Review trial.
The box is small, compact and sturdy - it would withstand knocking around in a drawer or a cupboard for a little while before using. As soon as I opened the box, I could smell a pleasant fragrance, similar to that of a shampoo or body wash. At first the smell didn't bother me, but after using the product, I was beginning to find it unpleasant - none of my other skin products have fragrance, and the smell of this cream didn't mingle well with my other scented body products.
The product is dispensed with a push down pump. Weird to use if you've not used them before, but simply take the clear cap off and push the top down to dispense enough cream for one application. I like this method, no excess cream wasted, seems more hygienic than an open jar that you stick fingers in, and I would think no chance of leaking if it was left on its side in a toiletry bag. I do wonder how much product is left in these containers when they are no longer dispensing, and how recyclable they are.
Instructions on the box suggested using it just 2 times in one week, then every other day the second. The first couple of times, although I felt a sensation when applying it, I didn't find it irritating. I've not used a retinol product before, so was unsure of what to expect. By the third time I used it, I was starting to feel burning on my skin the day after, when I applied my usual skin care products. But a day or two after that 3rd application, my skin was turning leathery, and in patches starting to weep. I've been using my regular products for several years now, so came to the conclusion it was a sensitivity to the retinol in the L'Oreal Paris product. I discontinued use of the Rivalift Laser cream, and also all of my regular skincare, except a light moisturiser in the morning, and even had to brave going to work with no makeup on after the weekend - eeeeeekkkk - as I was worried the patches of weeping skin would get infected.
I've used a lot of L'Oreal skin care over the years, and makeup also, with no reaction whatsoever. I had high hopes for this as my skin is starting to show signs of ageing. I did notice the few times I did use it, that my makeup the following day went on so nicely - seems like it did a great job of moisturising at night.
I may try it again soon, I'll let my skin settle for a few weeks, then try again. But right now, this product is not for me. It hasn't put me off using L'Oreal products in the future, but I will ensure I only test patch products containing retinol, before using them all over my face.
Tips: Do follow instructions when using this product, to help lessen the chance of a sensitivity reaction like I had.
I have never used products with retinol in it, so I was excited to try this product. I followed the suggestion on the box to gradually introduce it, and luckily I did not have any reactions or redness.
I did love the pressed-jar applicator - gives the perfect dosage, is mess-free, and it is nice and hygienic as you avoid dipping your fingers in. I will be interested to see how it works when it starts to get low in product though. It was easy to apply and a small pea sized amount goes a long way. It is quite a thin consistency compared to other night creams, has a low fragrance, and is a surprising pale yellow colour.
My skin feels hydrated and smooth after using it for a couple of weeks. The box promises in 14 nights that wrinkles will be visibly reduced and skin tone more even. I haven't seen that yet - but I wonder if it because I haven't actually applied it for 14 nights as such yet as I am following the directions to introduce it gradually. I look forward to hopefully seeing results from this product with continued use.
Tips: Follow the directions when first using it - e.g. week 1: two times a week, week 2: every other night, week 3: apply nightly.
After a week and a half of using this serum I've definitely noticed a difference in my skin. My skin is a lot softer and also looks more hydrated in the morning. I'm hoping with prolonged use the fine lines and wrinkles will hopefully decrease, I need a miracle. The scent is ok but does smell a little bit like alcohol. The dispenser is great as it does prevent using too much so the container should last a while. Definitely keen to continue using this serum.
Ok first off!!!!!! That packaging?!!!! Am I right? Wow! I’ve never actually had a cream that is in a jar like this one. I’m not digging in getting cream all under my nails , I’m not fumbling with a tube and a lid that goes flying off into the unknown. Love the sleek , ultra modern look with our fast paced world.
When you’re so tired and that simple push down pump action on this incredible jar really makes it so much faster. Queen I know you’re tired but this only takes seconds.
Just one con for me, I’m not a fan of artificially scented face products. Absolutely no reactions which is amazing. The scent does not linger though .
I started off every third night just to make sure I was going to get any stinging or reactions. Then every second. Now nightly for that glow. This stunning cream sinks right in , no greasy afters no thick yucky ‘I’ve got something on my face feeling’ it’s absolutely gorgeous!
I also apply all over my neck, chest and hands. I sleep on my side so my chest wrinkles are fierce haha, but! I’m impressed they are softening! Yes softening. We love that!
I have large pores , like seeing into your soul large pores. I’m embarrassed by them, especially at my age because they give off so much texture and I don’t know if it’s the retinol or the niacinamide but my texture and pores (yes pores holy cow) are reducing.
I wake up with a glow! My face is bright, so smooth and refreshed somehow, I’m definitely sold! I’ve never been into night creams because I’m weird with the feeling of creams on my face haha. This is totally a game changer. Please try it!
Tips: Sunscreen in the morning please guys , vitamin c in the morning, retinol at night , your skin will thank you and please don’t forget your hands , neck and chest xx
when i just applied it , it feels so smooth and light ,not greasy at all ,but did not see much improvement on my skin .
