I have trialled this product strictly as a highlighter so far, and found good points and not so good points.
I was super excited to try the dropper style application, but unfortunately I found with this product that the dropper was quite chunky which made it a bit clumsy. It also meant that one drop of product was way more product than I needed directly onto the face, so I would definitely recommend dropping the product onto a brush or palette and using that amount for more than one area.
The liquid was a soft, smooth texture and did blend very easily into the skin. So this was definitely a delivery on the promise of a product that blends seamlessly.
The colour (01 Sparkling Love) was beautiful and quite natural with my skin tone. The shimmer factor is definitely dialled up. So for me I would definitely use this more as a feature highlighter on small areas rather than an all over base or mixed into foundation. Very eye catching and certainly gives you a shimmery glow.
If you love a bit of sparkle and a good highlight then this product is definitely for you. Overall I am a fan, but will definitely use this in more of my evening make up routine rather than a ‘wake up and glow’ product for day time at work.
This incredibly pretty pot of pearl shimmer evokes those nail polish editorials- those glossy pages with enticing pools of lacquer that give you a rush on sight.
I was concerned with dropper delivery system that I would look like a trophy on application but this formula was weightless and subtle, like all the best gems. Like Chanel's use of costume jewelry, this economical beauty bling ($29.99) looks golden but without the high cost.
I used the fruity-fragranced drops, infused with coconut oil (!), as a highlighter over my medium-neutral cheekbones and down my nose's ascent. You could use it as a base, under foundation or alone, or you could mix it into a more matte foundation to add warmth.
Tips: This product is deceivingly light in formula so do not be afraid to use for all-over shimmer. It can be built up without too much goop.
