L'Oreal Paris Wake Up & Glow Mon Amour Highlighting Drops in 'Sparkling Love' are an iridescent champagne coloured liquid, packaged in a generous 15ml glass bottle with a dropper applicator.
These highly pigmented liquid illuminator drops contain shea butter and coconut oil, and they blend seamlessly into foundation or on bare skin.
The drops can be used in a number of ways: they can be used on bare skin for a no make-up look; two drops can be used all over for a radiant glow, or one drop in targeted areas (like on the cheekbones); the drops can be applied on their own over foundation, or mixed into foundation, primer, or moisturiser before being applied; and they can be blended with a beauty blender or with fingers. I applied mine with my fingers and they were really easy to blend with a light tapping motion.
I don't even think I needed one full drop to apply it to my cheekbones, on top of my foundation. Half a drop (or a light tap of the finger to the side of the dropper worked), and the 15ml bottle is going to last ages!
My first impression was, "Wow, this is really shimmery." But once it had been blended, all that was left was a beautiful, light reflective glow.
I really do like these drops. They're a multi-purpose item, a little goes a long way, and they do help to brighten a dull or tired looking complexion, while also reflecting light and acting as a highlighter. I'd definitely recommend these to someone who is looking for a fantastic highlighting product.
I’ve had a few shocking highlighter experiences sometimes it just looks blah or I look like I haven’t got any on at all.. this was easy to use and looks great.
I was hesitant about a liquid vs powder but these were so easy to use. A little dropper that I just dab on my skin and then use my fingers or silicone blender to blend.
They sit on top of my skin as I was a bit hesitant being a liquid they would mix in with my other makeup and not be noticeable or leave me looking like I haven’t blended my makeup properly. So it’s easily set on top of the makeup and isn’t absorbed in or under it so you know it’s going to make you shine.
It’s a champagne?? Kind of colour and gives a nice shine to your skin but not in an oily way. My skin glowed and looked so fresh and not at all dry looking. It really catches the light and gives an amazing glow that some other highlighters I’ve used just don’t.
Wait for a farmers sale as I got this pretty cheap. It’s going to last a long time I haven’t used much as it goes quite far on application. I feel with this product you can’t over do it and both sides look even with minimal effort.
Very similar appearance to a shade on a $90 palette I’ve used so can’t complain with it being much cheaper.
