I was a little nervous about trying this product because I've had some mixed reactions with retinol products, but my fears were unfounded - I didn't break out once! First up, the packaging is classic L'Oreal, very refined and classy. I'm not overly keen about tubs of product you can stick germy fingers into, but at least I was able to get every last smear. I did find the fragrance quite overpowering at first. It's not horrible - sort of a creamy, floral sort of scent, but I did think it was a bit much for a day cream. Speaking of which, I prefer day creams to have an SPF in them - considering this was an 'anti-wrinkle' product, I would have thought an SPF would be mandatory. I ended up using this as a night cream based on this reason, and also because I thought it might work wonders on me overnight! It's quite thick too, so as a night cream it worked well. My skin was a little rough for the first few days, but soon smoothed out. I am hesitant to say it reduced any obvious lines, but my skin definitely has a nicer texture about it. I'm also not sure how much actual active ingredients it has in it - based on the fact I tend to break out with retinol-based products, and didn't with this at all. Overall, it's a nice product and looks quite expensive and pretty, but don't expect miracles :)

Tips: If you have oily skin, try it as a night cream or your makeup will slide right off your face!
L'Oreal Paris Wrinkle Expert day cream promises a lot....... to improve skin smoothness and firmness. Visibly reduces signs of aging including wrinkles, loss of firmness, and dryness. I have normal to dry skin and I'm 52. I was keen to trial this product as I don't normally use a day cream. After trialing this for an extended period I remembered why. I'm not sure why but day creams seem to make my skin very oily and sit on the surface rather than sinking in. This cream was no different. I found it difficult to penetrate into the skin. it left a film on my face so that when I put on makeup it smeared the whole effect. An hour later the cream rubbed off in moist flakes. I persevered for a couple of weeks but didn't seem to be able to find a way to overcome this. As a result of these initial difficulties I did not find any perceivable changes to my skin. I am eager to read other reviews to see if any other users have this problem. At this stage I will stick with my night cream
I had big expectations of this product to trial and to be quite honest it did not live up to all it claims to do,well for me anyway.I have mature skin but in pretty good condition apart from some fine lines around my eyes and deeper wrinkles across my forehead and around my mouth which are mainly smile lines.I also have some slightly enlarged pores around my nose and cheek area along with dry patchy skin at times. This product claims to smooth wrinkles and reduce the number and appearance of them making your skin look softer and more supple, improve the firmness and keep skin hydrated for 24 hours. To be fair my skin did feel well hydrated and supple after the first week of using this daily and it did appear to feel slightly firmer but after 4 weeks of use I have not noticed any change in the depth or look of my fine lines and wrinkles at all.....The texture of the cream is nice to apply, not too thick and does melt into your skin really well but I found the scent was a bit overpowering for me which consisted of a floral perfume smell.I also found that my makeup tended to slide off during the day especially under my eyes where I had applied the cream and at the end of the day my face looked greasy. After the first week of use I noticed my skin start to break out in places but this could of been just my skin getting used to a new product, well that's what I thought at first until it kept breaking out more and continued to do so during the use of this product so this product is probably not suitable for those ladies with sensitive skin or it may be just that I had a bad reaction to it.I think this product would continue to work but I think it is going to be a time thing like a few months to see a big difference to your skin.
Tips: If applying make up over this cream make sure you allow a good few minutes to let the cream sink in to your skin otherwise it can look too greasy and your make up will not stay on all day.
I am still in my 30s I wanted to give some of this line a try since I had fair results from the revitalift serum & night cream. I notice it's slightly thicker than the revitalift cream and feels a lot less oily on the skin surface and soaks in faster but it's not as thick as the cream for 55+ I tend to go for night creams and wear sunscreen in the summer or when I'm going to be in the sun because I burn easily so I was a bit baffled as to why Loreal haven't put spf in this day cream . This cream has a fresh kind of scent which I am sure I've smelt before I think it is the same type of smell in the Garnier face exfoliant cleanser I have been using. I think there's potential for this cream with continued use but I am baffled as to why they put retinol in a day cream. Retinol oxidises in sunlight so using in the day seems silly to me and I think this should be a night cream for that reason. The box says avoid eye areas yet supposedly improves crow's feet - it doesn't make sense. My target areas are wrinkles on my forehead frown lines and round my eye lines. Unfortunately it's too early to comment on weather this one is actually improving the targeted areas but I think it will but I'm doubtful if I use it during the day that the results will be very good given retinol doesn't like daylight. Honestly after putting it on exfoliated prepared skin there was a little discomfort round my crows feet area. I don't really use day creams I just use night cream and this one I think is best suited for night time for best results. I do burn easily so I do need something preferably with sunscreen. I plan to update this on how effective the wrinkle reversing is at some point. I am not convinced it is going to be amazing and wind back the years - I use something that actually does that and I stop temporarily so that my skin doesn't get immune or too used to it and it tends to show when I have stopped because the lines come back faster or slower depending on stress and what alternative cream I am using in the interim. I will use in between my favourite wrinkle fighter and see how it goes.
Tips: Honestly I would use at night for the best results as retinol oxidises in the sunlight
I was extremely lucky to get a chance to review this product, and I love it! It goes on the skin well and absorbs nicely. I found this to be very hydrating and my makeup went over the top well. The only thing I didn’t like was the scent I don’t like face creams with scents but that’s only my opinion and it wasn’t a strong scent.
Tips: For the price this is a good product that does what it says it will.
The L'Oreal Wrinkle Expert comes in a glass jar which always seems more luxurious that an plastic one. The cream has a lovely spring like fragrance and has a creamy silky texture. This type of texture is lovely on my skin as a lot of creams absorb instantly on my skin and feels tight. This cream certainly didn't do this which I was so happy about. My skin had a nice dewy look and was not greasy at all. My skin also didn't go oily as the day progressed. The cream did visibly reduce the signs of very fine wrinkles I think more because of the dewy texture more than correcting the wrinkles. After saying that, I did like the appearance of my skin while using it. At $19.99 it is really good value for money and would recommend it to anyone.
Tips: Only use a small pea size amount as it does do a good cover of the face and neck and would be a waste to use more.
Safe to say I was very excited to be given the opportunity to trial this pre-release product. The packaging is what I would expect from this brand and looks more expensive than the price point.
I like to really slather on moisturizer but with this product, I only needed a small portion to get that well-covered feeling. The moisturizer goes on and absorbs well. It instantly improved any dryness without giving an oily feel and is a fantastic base for applying make-up after. The smell is pleasant and not overwhelming.
This moisturizer claims to hydrate for 24 hours which I agree with. It also claims to smooth wrinkles and improves firmness, I didn't have a big noticeable change however my skin did feel smoother.
The only thing that would improve this product for me would be the addition of SPF. Considering we are entering summer this isn't such an issue as it best to apply a high separate SPF anyway. I would recommend this moisturizer to anyone wanting a cream that is hydrating and smoothing at a good price.
Tips: Apply a sunscreen along with this moisturizer.
I have been using L’Oreal Wrinkle expert 45+ For the past four weeks.
Have my wrinkles smoothed away - no!
I don’t seem to have any visual difference with my face, but my skin feels great, my skin also feels firmer.
I also like the thick texture of the cream and it feels great when I rub it into my face.
I have been using it as a moisturiser every morning.
It doesn’t leave a greasy substance on either my face or hands.
It you want great skin, this is the product for you!
Smells great, similar to a much more expensive product I’ve used in the past. Nice and light and non greasy. Great for under makeup. It’s hard to say if it’s minimised any lines or wrinkles, but my skin does feel nice and soft and I’ll definitely carry on using it. My skin is dry and can be quite sensitive. I’ve had no reactions to the cream.
Tips: Apply to cleansed skin. Being so reasonably priced, I used it on the back of my hands as well :)
Ok was super excited to be reviewing this pre-release anti wrinke cream for a starter! Always awesome to get the chance to review something brand new. The packaging was the typical L'Oreal style but not the usual red, it was mainly white with some red on it. The big red 45+ ensures you know it's the right one for your age.
The jar is glass which I prefer to plastic, kinder to the enviromnment etc too. It's a 50ml jar for RRP of $19.99 which actually isn't too badly priced as you don't need to use a lot.
It smells quite nice, not overpowering and quite botanical. I'm not really that comfortable with the huge list of ingredients in it and the list is long!
The consistency is quite nice, not too thick and absorbs quite well. I used it every morning since the day I received it and am still using it, I took a pic of one side of my face especially the wrinkles on the outside of my eyes to see if I could see a difference with use - I could see a slight difference in my skin - it did appear a little firmer but not really sure if it made a difference to the hydration or the wrinkles. Maybe I will need to continue to use to see more of a difference.
My overall review is that it's not a fantastic product, it does moisturise and it's not a bad price but I feel that it didn't make much if any difference to my wrinkles and firmness of my skin. I expected it to be a bit better than it was as I have been using L'Oreal for quite some time and have found that usually their products are good.
Bit disappointing really :(
Tips: No tips really just use as a normal moisturiser alone or under makeup
