Packaging is semi attractive, a glass jar with a screw top lid nice and basic, I do like glass it’s clean.
This cream is very light and doesn’t feel heavy enough in texture for my dry skin, it comes with a light fragrance reminds me of lilies semi pleasant a little cheep dare I say it, first sniff was like oh ok lets see if this is worth trying.
I stuck with my usual skin care routine and used this in place of my moisturiser (my more expensive one) nothing compares to it ha ha well so I thought
It took my skin a few days to get into the swing of this new product that I do use quite generously (a small broad bean size), I was double dipping the joys of dry thirsty skin, I gently smooth all over my face and neck followed by a gentle pat to push products in ha ha a habit I’ve gotten into and it’s worth trying I even wipe my hands on the back of my neck a very neglected area. Anyhow it soaked nicely in without leaving me shiny or feeling tacky. Ive been left moisturised all day with no dry patches, I can even wipe my face with a wet cloth ( when I’m working in dirt) and I just top up with sunscreen no need to remonstrance that’s a biggie for me.
I have noticed an improvement I’m definitely more hydrated all day and with that I can see a small improvement in my smaller lines. Softer skin that doesn’t slurp up the next product I use the old faithful sunscreen as this moisturiser doesn’t contain any and I’m fine with that as I don’t mind sticking extra sun cream on and BB or foundation sits nicely on top even powder glides on.
As the weeks have gone on a definite improvement to the point I will be saying cherrio to my more experience cream and pop this little beauty in its place
Will I purchase this for sure some of us old girls need a helping hand. I’m liking this very much who says you can’t mix and match brands. Not only will I save my skin it will save some dollars.
I'm really enjoying skin care products now I'm in my 50s. I've gone from religiously sticking to the same moisturiser to experimenting and enjoying so many incredible products. What I've found is that when it comes to skin care, you very much get what you pay for, so I'm not going to lie - my expectations for a $20 cream were low.
Well.
I stand corrected like the very-wrong-skincare-snob I am.
The packaging is standard L'oreal, it doesn't feel cheap. I don't actually mind pottles, I use a wee spatula so its not a drama for me.
Ok having '55+' smeared across the front was a bit, 'this bathroom belongs to someone OLD', but then again, at least I'll be able to find it on the supermarket shelf!
The cream itself is light and non greasy, but it still feels incredibly rich and hydrating. I definitely noticed an immediate hydration. I love that its not overpoweringly scented too.
So I've been using it for a month and my skin looks and feels hydrated, plump and smooth. Its soft to touch and looks a lot less sallow.
Is it botox in a tub? No. Do I want it to be? No. If a $20 cream can give soft, supple and younger looking skin - I'm very happy!
Definitely look out for this one!
