This anti-wrinkle restoring cream comes in a cardboard box with L’Oreal branding. Inside is a very cute 50ml pot - glass, with a plastic screw top lid.
The product is a very thick white cream – awesome for me because I love thick creams, and always have – the thicker the better. I have dry skin and it soaks up moisture.
I’ve been applying this a dozen times a day as I do with any moisturiser, and have almost used the whole pot in the three weeks since I received it from BR for this trial
I love the scent of it, and the soft waxy feel on my skin when I apply it. I swear my skin does look a little smoother too, it certainly feels smoother and more conditioned. That doesn’t surprise me too much as I’ve used other L’Oreal products and found them excellent. The product claims it has calcium to strengthen thinning skin and improve smoothness for a more youthful appearance, and visibly reduces signs of ageing including wrinkles, sagging contours and density loss. I think it is well on the way to meeting those claims, and using it for a longer term I feel confident would strengthen my results. I think it is an excellent product for mature skin, and maybe less mature skin, if you’re the type of person who loves thick creams like I do. Let’s face it, you can’t start attacking these issues too early, and before age 55 certainly.
It is $19.99 for the 50ml pot, which is very reasonable for such a good product. I definitely recommend it to others, and will purchase it myself.
This trial is perfect for me. I cannot go past L'Oreal for quality and value. I have now used these products for many years, with the emphasis on day and night moisturisers. I do not have too many wrinkles, so my friends tell me but I do know that no cream will get rid of them. However, I do believe that regular moisturising can soften lines. This product is for 55+ but it is not for all skin types. I have used many different L'Oreal moisturisers but this is the first time I have used the Wrinkle Expert cream. It is of a thicker consistency than I am used to and I feel it is heavier on my skin and takes a little longer to dry out before I can put on my foundation. The information on the jar is quite limited with no mention of an SPF. This is disappointing because I like the extra protection that a SPF offers from the sun. Due to the consistency of the cream, I have broken out with one pimple which is unusual for me. I wouldn't purchase this again any time soon but would consider it when I am a little older and in need of a heavier moisturiser. I think it is great value for under $20. You can't really get a decent moisturiser for that price. The packaging is of good quality with a decent glass jar and screw lid. You only use a little every day , so the 50mls should last quite a while.
Also the picture of the jar on the back says 12m which means that once opened, the product is good for 12 months. It has a slight fragrance but I would enjoy a little more to enhance my beauty regime. I would recommend this product but only for a certain skin type and age. I think it is great that the supermarkets and Warehouse are considering stocking this product as it makes it much more accessible for those who like a good quality product.
Tips: If you aren't ready for this heavier moisturiser try a lighter L'Oreal version.
