Due for another clear top coat polish I thought I would try this one that I stumbled across in the warehouse.
The packaging is quite OTT in a fancy way as the polish itself comes in a plastic packaging - Im not sure I've ever brought a polish in its own wee plastic sleeve before. This did make it a little tricky to get out and too me we don't need anymore plastic in the world but it is a nice touch given that its only a $5 polish!
The bottle is similar to that of OPI and even has LAC in risen initials on the top of the lid. The bottle is see through thick glass with pink writing, which after a couple of uses the writing is rubbing off, this doesn't bother me in the slightest - had it been expensive perhaps it would of.
The brush is nice and wide and comes out with lots of polish on. To apply on my nails I only need to do one swipe and instantly my nail colour is brighter and more shiny. The downside is the gloss doesn't last very many days, the polish lasts and keeps nail protected but the shine goes which is a little disappointing. I do find my nail colour seems to show on the end of the brush but this doesn't effect my nails or the colour in anyway and seems to be gone by the next time I use it, so that's no drama.
The consistency is runny yet thick, as I mentioned before more than enough polish is on the brush when you pull it out, yet can get away with not shaking prior to application due to its consistency, I guess why no ball bearings have been added.
Overall I like this polish as my top coat, its easy to use and hold, seems to dry fast, makes my nails brighter and shiner ( for a couple of days)and stronger, it helps keep my polish looking good.
Would consider purchasing again, but I like to try different ones each time I go for a clear polish.
I picked this up from The Warehouse one day when I was looking for a new topcoat. I figured it was only $5, so I gave it a go. However, there are better topcoats you can get for a similar price.
This comes in a blister style package, which I found quite strange for a nail polish and it was quite difficult to get it out of the packaging. The bottle is quite nice, almost reminds me of fancier brands like OPI. This has a thin consistency, and is quite easy to apply. It doesn't take too long to dry, only a few minutes depending on how many layers of nail polish you have on. However, I found this chipped on me in only a couple of days which I was disappointed in.
I won't be buying this again, because it just didn't work for me and I found that other brands similarly priced such as Sinful Colours worked better.
